26:1
Respondens autem Job dixit :
約伯回答說：
Then Job answered,
26:2
Cujus adjutor es ? numquid imbecillis ? et sustentas brachium ejus qui non est fortis ?
無能的人蒙你何等的幫助！ 膀臂無力的人蒙你何等的拯救！
“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!
26:3
Cui dedisti consilium ? forsitan illi qui non habet sapientiam : et prudentiam tuam ostendisti plurimam.
無智慧的人蒙你何等的指教！ 你向他多顯大知識！
How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!
26:4
Quem docere voluisti ? nonne eum qui fecit spiramentum ?
你向誰發出言語來？ 誰的靈從你而出？
To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out of you?
26:5
Ecce gigantes gemunt sub aquis, et qui habitant cum eis.
在大水和水族以下的陰魂戰兢。
“The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
26:6
Nudus est infernus coram illo, et nullum est operimentum perditioni.
在上帝面前，陰間顯露； 滅亡也不得遮掩。
Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.
26:7
Qui extendit aquilonem super vacuum, et appendit terram super nihilum.
上帝將北極鋪在空中， 將大地懸在虛空；
He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.
26:8
Qui ligat aquas in nubibus suis, ut non erumpant pariter deorsum.
將水包在密雲中， 雲卻不破裂；
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.
26:9
Qui tenet vultum solii sui, et expandit super illud nebulam suam.
遮蔽他的寶座， 將雲鋪在其上；
He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.
26:10
Terminum circumdedit aquis, usque dum finiantur lux et tenebrae.
在水面的周圍劃出界限， 直到光明黑暗的交界。
He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.
26:11
Columnae caeli contremiscunt, et pavent ad nutum ejus.
天的柱子因他的斥責震動驚奇。
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.
26:12
In fortitudine illius repente maria congregata sunt, et prudentia ejus percussit superbum.
他以能力攪動 大海； 他藉知識打傷拉哈伯，
He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.
26:13
Spiritus ejus ornavit caelos, et obstetricante manu ejus, eductus est coluber tortuosus.
藉他的靈使天有妝飾； 他的手刺殺快蛇。
By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.
26:14
Ecce haec ex parte dicta sunt viarum ejus : et cum vix parvam stillam sermonis ejus audierimus, quis poterit tonitruum magnitudinis illius intueri ?
看哪，這不過是上帝工作的些微； 我們所聽於他的是何等細微的聲音！ 他大能的雷聲誰能明透呢？
Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
