101:1
ጠይቅዋ፡ ለሰማይ፡ ኵልክሙ፡ ውሉደ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ግብሮ፡ ለልዑል፡ ወፍርሁ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወኢትግበሩ፡ እኩየ፡ በቅድሜሁ።
Observe the heaven, ye children of heaven, and every work of the Most High, and fear ye Him and work no evil in His presence.
你們眾天之子啊，要觀察天並那至高者一切的作為，要敬畏祂，不可在祂面前行惡。
101:2
እመ፡ ዐጸወ፡ መስኮተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወከልአ፡ ዝናመ፡ ወጠለ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይረድ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ በእንቲኣክሙ፡ ሚ፡ ሀለወክሙ፡ ትግበሩ።
If He closes the windows of heaven, and withholds the rain and the dew from descending on the earth on your account, what will ye do then?
祂若關閉天上的窗戶，止住雨露不降在地上，是因你們的緣故，那時你們要怎麼辦呢？
101:3
ወእመ፡ ፈነወ፡ መዓቶ፡ ዲቤክሙ፡ ወዲበ፡ ኵሉ፡ ምግባሪክሙ፡ አኮኑ፡ አንትሙ፡ ዘታስተበቍዕዎ፡ እስመ፡ ትትናገሩ፡ ዲበ፡ ጽድቀ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ዐቢያተ፡ ወጽኑዓተ፡ ወአልብክሙ፡ ሰላም።
And if He sends His anger upon you because of your deeds, ye cannot petition Him; for ye spake proud and insolent words against His righteousness: therefore ye shall have no peace.
祂若因你們的作為向你們發怒，你們豈不是那要向祂懇求的嗎？因為你們說了狂傲剛硬的話抵擋祂的公義，因此你們必不得平安。
101:4
ኢትሬእይዎሙኑ፡ ለነገሥተ፡ አሕማር፡ እለ፡ ይትሀወኩ፡ እሞገድ፡ ወያንቀለቅሉ፡ እምነፋሳት፡ አሕማሮሙ፡ ወይትመነደቡ።
And see ye not the sailors of the ships, how their ships are tossed to and fro by the waves, and are shaken by the winds, and are in sore trouble?
你們豈不見那些船上的水手，他們的船怎樣被波浪顛簸、被風搖撼、深陷困苦中嗎？
101:5
ወበእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ይፈርሁ፡ እስመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ንዋዮሙ፡ ሠናይ፡ ይወፅእ፡ ውስተ፡ ባሕር፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ወሠናየ፡ ኢይኄልዩ፡ በልቦሙ፡ እስመ፡ ባሕር፡ ትውኅጦሙ፡ ወይትሀጐሉ፡ ውስቴታ።
And therefore do they fear because all their goodly possessions go upon the sea with them, and they have evil forebodings of heart that the sea will swallow them and they will perish therein.
為這緣故他們懼怕，因為他們一切的美好家業都隨他們入海，他們心裡惡兆纏繞，恐怕海要吞滅他們，使他們葬身其中。
101:6
አኮኑ፡ ኵሉ፡ ባሕር፡ ወኵሉ፡ ማያቲሃ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ሑሰታ፡ ግብረ፡ ልዑል፡ ውእቱ፡ ወውእቱ፡ ኵሎ፡ ግብረታ፡ ወማያቲሃ፡ ኀተመ፡ ወአሰረ፡ ኵለንታሃ፡ በኆጻ።
Are not the entire sea and all its waters, and all its movements, the work of the Most High, and has He not set limits to its doings, and confined it throughout by the sand?
整個海並它一切的水、它一切的湧動，豈不都是那至高者的作為嗎？祂豈不已為它的作為設立界限，用沙界把它整個約束嗎？
101:7
ወበተግሣጹ፡ ትየብስ፡ ወትፈርህ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ዓሣቲሃ፡ ይመውቱ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ዘሀሎ፡ ውስቴታ፡ ወአንትሙሰ፡ ኃጥኣን፡ እለ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ኢትፍርህዎ።
And at His reproof it is afraid and dries up, and all its fish die and all that is in it; but ye sinners that are on the earth fear Him not.
它因祂的斥責便乾涸懼怕，它一切的魚並其中一切的都要死亡；你們這些在地上的罪人卻不敬畏祂。
101:8
አኮኑ፡ ውእቱ፡ ገብረ፡ ሰማየ፡ ወምድረ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ዘሀሎ፡ ውስቴቶሙ፡ ወመኑ፡ ወሀበ፡ ትምህርተ፡ ወጥበበ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይትሐወሱ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ ወለእለ፡ ውስተ፡ ባሕር።
Has He not made the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein? Who has given understanding and wisdom to everything that moves on the earth and in the sea?
創造天地並其中一切的，豈不是祂嗎？是誰把悟性與智慧賜給一切在地上、在海中行動的呢？
101:9
አኮኑ፡ ውእቶሙ፡ ነገሥተ፡ አሕማር፡ ይፈርህዎ፡ ለባሕር፡ ወኃጥኣንሰ፡ ኢይፈርህዎ፡ ለልዑል።
Do not the sailors of the ships fear the sea? Yet sinners fear not the Most High.
那些船上的水手豈不懼怕海嗎？罪人卻不敬畏那至高者。
