98:1

ወይእዜኒ፡ አነ፡ እምሕል፡ ለክሙ፡ ለጠቢባን፡ ወለአብዳን፡ እስመ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ትሬእዩ፡ በዲበ፡ ምድር።

And now I swear unto you, to the wise and to the foolish, For ye shall have manifold experiences on the earth.

如今我向你們智慧人與愚妄人起誓，因為你們在地上必有各樣的遭遇。

98:2

እስመ፡ ሥነ፡ ትወድዩ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ አንትሙ፡ ዕደው፡ ፈድፋደ፡ እምአንስት፡ ወኅብረ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ እምድንግል፡ በመንግል፡ በመንግሥት፡ ወበዕበይ፡ ወበሥልጣን፡ ወበብሩር፡ ወወርቅ፡ ወሜላት፡ ወክብር፡ ወመባልዕት፡ ከመ፡ ማይ፡ ይውሕዝ።

For ye men shall put on more adornments than a woman, And coloured garments more than a virgin: In royalty and in grandeur and in power, And in silver and in gold and in purple, And in splendour and in food they shall be poured out as water.

因為你們這些人要在自己身上穿戴比婦人更多的妝飾，穿比處女更鮮豔的綵衣；在王權、尊榮、權柄、銀子、金子、紫袍、華美與飲食上，都如水傾流。

98:3

ወበእንተ፡ ዝ፡ ትምህርት፡ ወጥበብ፡ አልቦሙ፡ ወቦቱ፡ ይትሀጐሉ፡ ኅቡረ፡ ምስለ፡ ንዋያቲሆሙ፡ ወምስለ፡ ኵሉ፡ ስብሐቶሙ፡ ወክብሮሙ፡ ወበጽእለት፡ ወበንዴት፡ ወበቀትለ፡ ነፍስ፡ ወበንዴት፡ ዐቢይ፡ ትትወደይ፡ መንፈሶሙ፡ ውስተ፡ እቶነ፡ እሳት።

Therefore they shall be wanting in doctrine and wisdom, And they shall perish thereby together with their possessions; And with all their glory and their splendour, And in shame and in slaughter and in great destitution, Their spirits shall be cast into the furnace of fire.

因此他們沒有教訓與智慧，必因此連同他們的財物一同滅亡，連同他們一切的榮耀與尊貴；在羞辱、殺戮與極大的貧乏中，他們的靈要被丟入火爐。

98:4

መሐልኩ፡ ለክሙ፡ ኃጥኣን፡ ከመ፡ ኢኮነ፡ ደብር፡ ገብረ፡ ወኢይከውን፡ ወኢ፡ ወግር፡ ለብእሲት፡ አመተ፡ ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ኀጢአተኒ፡ ኢተፈነወት፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ አላ፡ ሰብእ፡ እምርእሶሙ፡ ፈጠርዋ፡ ወለመርገም፡ ዐቢይ፡ ይከውኑ፡ እለ፡ ገብርዋ።

I have sworn unto you, ye sinners, as a mountain has not become a slave, And a hill does not become the handmaid of a woman, Even so sin has not been sent upon the earth, But man of himself has created it, And under a great curse shall they fall who commit it.

你們罪人哪，我向你們起誓：山未曾被造為奴僕，小山也未曾作婦人的婢女；照樣，罪惡也不是被差到地上的，乃是人自己造出來的，那行罪的人必落在大咒詛之下。

98:5

ወምክነት፡ ለብእሲት፡ ኢተውህበት፡ አላ፡ በእንተ፡ ግብረ፡ እደዊሃ፡ ትመውት፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ውሉድ።

And barrenness has not been given to the woman, But on account of the deeds of her own hands she dies without children.

不育並非賜給婦人的，乃是因她自己手所行的，她才無子而死。

98:6

መሐልኩ፡ ለክሙ፡ ኃጥኣን፡ በቅዱስ፡ ወዐቢይ፡ እስመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ግብርክሙ፡ እኩይ፡ ክሡት፡ ውእቱ፡ በሰማያት፡ ወአልብክሙ፡ ግብረ፡ ግፍዕ፡ ክዱን፡ ወኢኅቡእ።

I have sworn unto you, ye sinners, by the Holy Great One, That all your evil deeds are revealed in the heavens, And that none of your deeds of oppression are covered and hidden.

你們罪人哪，我指著那聖潔偉大者向你們起誓：你們一切的惡行都在諸天中顯露，你們一切欺壓的作為沒有一樣被遮蓋隱藏。

98:7

ወኢታምስሉ፡ በመንፈስክሙ፡ ወኢትበሉ፡ በልብክሙ፡ እስመ፡ ኢተአምሩ፡ ወኢትሬእዩ፡ ኵሎ፡ ኀጢአተክሙ፡ ዘበሰማይ፡ ይጸሐፍ፡ ሀሎ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዕለት፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ ለልዑል።

And do not think in your spirit nor say in your heart that ye do not know and that ye do not see that every sin is every day recorded in heaven in the presence of the Most High.

你們不要在靈裡幻想，也不要心裡說你們不知道、看不見：你們一切的罪都天天記在天上，在那至高者面前。

98:8

ወእምይእዜ፡ ተአምሩ፡ እስመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ግፍዕክሙ፡ ዘትገፍዑ፡ ይጸሐፍ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዕለት፡ እስከ፡ ዕለተ፡ ኵነኔክሙ።

From henceforth ye know that all your oppression wherewith ye oppress is written down every day till the day of your judgement.

從今以後，你們要知道，你們所行一切的欺壓都天天被記下，直到你們受審判的日子。

98:9

አሌ፡ ለክሙ፡ አብዳን፡ እስመ፡ ትትሀጐሉ፡ በእበድክሙ፡ ወለጠቢባን፡ ኢትሰምዕዎሙ፡ ወሠናይ፡ ኢይረክበክሙ።

Woe to you, ye fools, for through your folly shall ye perish: and ye transgress against the wise, and so good hap shall not be your portion.

你們愚妄人有禍了，因為你們必因自己的愚妄滅亡；你們不聽智慧人的話，福分也不臨到你們。
