22:1

ወእምህየ፡ ሖርኩ፡ ካልአ፡ መካነ፡ ወአርአየኒ፡ በምዕራብ፡ ደብረ፡ ዐቢየ፡ ወነዋኀ፡ ወኰኵሐ፡ ጽኑዐ።

And thence I went to another place, and he showed me in the west another great and high mountain [and] of hard rock. {| class="wikitable" |- ! Ethiopic !! Greek |- |

我從那裡去到另一處地方，他在西方指給我看一座又大又高、由堅硬磐石造成的山。

22:2

ወአርባዕቱ፡ መካናት፡ ሠናያት፡ ወበውስቴቱ፡ ዕሙቅ፡ ወርሒብ፡ ወልሙጽ፡ ጥቀ፡ ከመ፡ ልሙጽ፡ ዘያንኰረኵር፡ ወዕሙቅ፡ ወጽልመት፡ ለነጽሮ።

And there was in it four hollow places, deep and wide and very smooth. How smooth are the hollow places and deep and dark to look at.|| And there were four hollow places in it, deep and very smooth: three of them were dark and one bright and there was a fountain of water in its midst. And I said: ‘How smooth are these hollow places, and deep and dark to view.’ |}

其中有四處空穴，又深又寬，極其平滑，光滑得如同可滑動之物，又深又暗，難以注視。

22:3

ውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ አውሥአኒ፡ ሩፋኤል፡ አሐዱ፡ እመላእክት፡ ቅዱሳን፡ ዘሀለወ፡ ምስሌየ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ እላ፡ መካናት፡ ሠናያት፡ ከመ፡ ይትጋብኡ፡ ዲቤሆን፡ መናፍስቲሆሙ፡ ለምዉታን፡ ሎሙ፡ እሎንቱ፡ ተፈጥሩ፡ ወዝየ፡ ያስተጋብኡ፡ ነፍሳተ፡ ውሉደ፡ ሰብእ።

Then Raphael answered, one of the holy angels who was with me, and said unto me: ‘These hollow places have been created for this very purpose, that the spirits of the souls of the dead should assemble therein, yea that all the souls of the children of men should assemble here.

那時與我同在的聖天使之一拉斐爾回答我，對我說：「這幾處空穴是為此目的而造的，要使死人之靈魂都聚集在其中，叫世人兒女的眾魂都聚集於此。

22:4

ወእላንቱ፡ መካናት፡ ኀበ፡ ያነብርዎሙ፡ ገብሩ፡ እስከ፡ ዕለተ፡ ኵነኔሆሙ፡ ወእስከ፡ አመ፡ ዕድሜሆሙ፡ ወዕድሜ፡ ዐቢይ፡ ውእቱ፡ እስከ፡ አመ፡ ኵነኔ፡ ዐቢይ፡ በላዕሌሆሙ።

And these places have been made to receive them till the day of their judgement and till their appointed period [till the period appointed], till the great judgement (comes) upon them.’ {| class="wikitable" |- ! Ethiopic !! Greek |- |

這些地方是為收容他們而造的，直到他們受審之日，直到他們所定的期限；那期限長久，直到那大審判臨到他們的日子。」

22:5

ወርኢኩ፡ መናፍስተ፡ ውሉደ፡ ሰብእ፡ እንዘ፡ ምዉታን፡ ውእቶሙ፡ ወቃሎሙ፡ ይበጽሕ፡ እስከ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወይሰኪ።

I saw the spirits of the children of men who were dead, and their voice went forth to heaven and made suit.

我看見死了之人兒女的靈魂，他們的聲音直達於天，發出哀告。

22:6

ውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ ተስእልክዎ፡ ለሩፋኤል፡ መልአክ፡ ዘሀሎ፡ ምስሌየ፡ ወእቤሎ፡ ዝ፡ መንፈስ፡ ዘመኑ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘከመ፡ ዝ፡ ቃሉ፡ ይበጽሕ፡ እስከ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወይሰኪ።

Then I asked Raphael the angel who was with me, and I said unto him: ‘This spirit—whose is it, whose voice goeth forth and maketh suit?’|| I saw 〈the spirit of〉 a dead man making suit, and his voice went forth to heaven and made suit. And I asked Raphael the angel who was with me, and I said unto him: ‘This spirit which maketh suit, whose is it, whose voice goeth forth and maketh suit to heaven?’ |}

那時我問與我同在的天使拉斐爾，說：「這靈是誰的？竟這樣使聲音直達於天而哀告。」

22:7

ወአውሥአኒ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል፡ ዝንቱ፡ መንፈስ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘይወፅእ፡ እምአቤል፡ ዘቀተሎ፡ ቃኤል፡ እኁሁ፡ ወይሰኪ፡ ኪያሁ፡ እስከ፡ አመ፡ ይትሀጐሉ፡ ዘርዑ፡ እምገጸ፡ ምድር፡ ወእምዘርዐ፡ ሰብእ፡ ይማስን፡ ዘርዑ።

And he answered me saying: ‘This is the spirit which went forth from Abel, whom his brother Cain slew, and he makes his suit against him till his seed is destroyed from the face of the earth, and his seed is annihilated from amongst the seed of men.’ {| class="wikitable" |- ! 他回答我說：「這靈是從亞伯而出的，就是那被他兄弟該隱所殺的；他向該隱哀告，直到該隱的後裔從地面上被滅絕，他的種類從世人的種類中消亡。」

22:8

ወውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ ተስእልክዎ፡ በእንቲኣሁ፡ ወበእንተ፡ ኵነኔ፡ ኵሉ፡ ወእቤ፡ በእንተ፡ ምንት፡ ተፈልጠ፡ አሐዱ፡ እምነ፡ አሐዱ።

Then I asked regarding it, and regarding all the hollow places: ’Why is one separated from the other?’ || Then I asked regarding all the hollow places: ‘Why is one separated from the other?’ |} {| class="wikitable" |- ! Ethiopic !! Greek |- |

那時我為這事並為一切的審判發問，說：「為甚麼這一處與那一處分開？」

22:9

ወአውሥአኒ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ እሎንቱ፡ ሠለስቱ፡ ተገብሩ፡ ከመ፡ ይፍልጡ፡ መንፈሶሙ፡ ለምዉታን፡ ወከመ፡ ዝ፡ ተፈልጡ፡ ነፍሶሙ፡ ለጻድቃን፡ ዝ፡ ውእቱ፡ ነቅዐ፡ ማይ፡ ዘበላዕሌሁ፡ ብርሃን።

And he answered me and said unto me: ‘These three have been made that the spirits of the dead might be separated. And such a division has been made 〈for〉 the spirits of the righteous, in which there is the bright spring of water.

他回答我說：「這三處是為使死人的靈得以分別而造的。義人的靈這樣被分別出來，那裡有明亮的活水泉源。
