51:1
Whatever therefore we have transgressed and done through any of the assaults of the adversary, let us ask to be forgiven. And those also who became ringleaders of faction and division ought to look to the common ground of hope.
51:2
For those who live in fear and love are willing rather to fall into sufferings themselves than to bring them upon their neighbors; and rather they bear condemnation upon themselves than upon the harmony nobly and justly handed down to us.
51:3
For it is good for a man to confess his transgressions rather than to harden his heart, as the heart of those was hardened who rose in faction against Moses, the servant of God, whose judgment was made manifest.
51:4
For they went down into Hades alive, and death shall shepherd them.
51:5
Pharaoh and his army and all the rulers of Egypt, their chariots and their horsemen, were sunk in the Red Sea and perished for no other reason than that their senseless hearts were hardened after the signs and wonders had been done in the land of Egypt through Moses, the servant of God.
