5-17:17
Ἐμοὶ φιλονεικεῖς; καὶ πρὸς ἐμὲ ἵστασαι; καὶ τοῖς ἐμοῖς ἀθληταῖς ἀνταγωνίζῃ; ποῦ δὲ ἦς, ὅτε ἐγὼ τὴν γῆν εἰργαζόμν; τίς ἠς τότε; ἤδη, φησίν, ἐπεπτώκεις. καὶ γὰρ ἐν τῇ ἀρχῇ τῆς κοσμοποιίας σκότος ἠν, φησίν, ἐπάνω τῆς ἀβύσσου. σκότος τοῦςο, τοῦτο, οὐ κτισθὲν σκότος, ἀλλὰ προαιρετικῶς ἀρξάμενον εἶναι σκότος τῇ τοῦ φωτὸς στερήσει
你與我相爭麼？你與我作對麼？你與我的勇士角力麼？但我創造大地的時候，你在哪裡呢？那時你算甚麼呢？他說：那時你早已墜落了。因為在創世之初，有黑暗在深淵之上。這黑暗不是受造的黑暗，乃是出於牠自己的選擇、因著缺乏光而開始成為的黑暗。
Do you contend with me? And do you set yourself against me? And do you wrestle against my athletes? But where were you when I was fashioning the earth? Who were you then? Already, he says, you had fallen. For indeed at the beginning of the creation of the world there was darkness, he says, upon the abyss. This darkness was not a created darkness, but a darkness that by deliberate choice had begun to be, through the privation of light.
