38:1
ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ κατέβη Ιουδας ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀφίκετο ἕως πρὸς ἄνθρωπόν τινα Οδολλαμίτην ᾧ ὄνομα Ιρας
那時候，猶大離開他的弟兄下去，到了一個亞杜蘭人那裡，那人名叫伊拉。
And it happened at that time that Judas went down from his brothers and came as far as a certain man, an Odollamite, whose name was Iras.
38:2
καὶ εἶδεν ἐκεῖ Ιουδας θυγατέρα ἀνθρώπου Χαναναίου ᾗ ὄνομα Σαυα καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς αὐτήν
猶大在那裡看見一個迦南人的女兒，名叫書亞；他就娶了她，與她同房。
And Judas saw there a daughter of a Chananite man, whose name was Saua; and he took her and went in to her.
38:3
καὶ συλλαβοῦσα ἔτεκεν υἱὸν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ηρ
她就懷孕生了一個兒子，給他起名叫珥。
And she conceived and bore a son, and called his name Er.
38:4
καὶ συλλαβοῦσα ἔτι ἔτεκεν υἱὸν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Αυναν
她又懷孕生了一個兒子，給他起名叫俄南。
And she conceived again and bore a son, and called his name Aunan.
38:5
καὶ προσθεῖσα ἔτι ἔτεκεν υἱὸν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σηλωμ αὐτὴ δὲ ἦν ἐν Χασβι ἡνίκα ἔτεκεν αὐτούς
她再次又生了一個兒子，給他起名叫示羅；她生他們的時候，是在基悉。
And she bore yet again a son, and called his name Selom; and she was in Chasbi when she bore them.
38:6
καὶ ἔλαβεν Ιουδας γυναῖκα Ηρ τῷ πρωτοτόκῳ αὐτοῦ ᾗ ὄνομα Θαμαρ
猶大為他的長子珥娶妻，名叫他瑪。
And Judas took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Thamar.
38:7
ἐγένετο δὲ Ηρ πρωτότοκος Ιουδα πονηρὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός
猶大的長子珥在主面前是惡的，神就把他殺了。
And Er, Judas' firstborn, was wicked before the Lord, and God killed him.
38:8
εἶπεν δὲ Ιουδας τῷ Αυναν εἴσελθε πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου καὶ γάμβρευσαι αὐτὴν καὶ ἀνάστησον σπέρμα τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου
猶大對俄南說：你去與你哥哥的妻子同房，向她盡小叔的本分，為你哥哥立後。
And Judas said to Aunan, Go in to your brother's wife and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up seed for your brother.
38:9
γνοὺς δὲ Αυναν ὅτι οὐκ αὐτῷ ἔσται τὸ σπέρμα ἐγίνετο ὅταν εἰσήρχετο πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐξέχεεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ μὴ δοῦναι σπέρμα τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ
俄南知道那後裔不歸自己，所以每逢他進到他哥哥妻子那裡的時候，就把精液泄在地上，免得給他哥哥留後。
But Aunan, knowing that the seed would not be his, it came about that whenever he went in to his brother's wife, he poured it out upon the ground, so as not to give seed to his brother.
38:10
πονηρὸν δὲ ἐφάνη ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ ὅτι ἐποίησεν τοῦτο καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν καὶ τοῦτον
他所作的這事，在神面前顯為惡，神就把他也治死了。
And it appeared evil before God that he did this, and he put this one also to death.
38:11
εἶπεν δὲ Ιουδας Θαμαρ τῇ νύμφῃ αὐτοῦ κάθου χήρα ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρός σου ἕως μέγας γένηται Σηλωμ ὁ υἱός μου εἶπεν γάρ μήποτε ἀποθάνῃ καὶ οὗτος ὥσπερ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπελθοῦσα δὲ Θαμαρ ἐκάθητο ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς
猶大對他的兒婦他瑪說：你且住在你父親家裡守寡，等我兒子示羅長大；因為他說，恐怕這一個也像他的哥哥們一樣死了。他瑪就去，住在她父親家裡。
And Judas said to Thamar his daughter-in-law, Remain a widow in your father's house until Selom my son becomes great; for he said, Lest this one also die like his brothers. And Thamar departed and dwelt in her father's house.
38:12
ἐπληθύνθησαν δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαυα ἡ γυνὴ Ιουδα καὶ παρακληθεὶς Ιουδας ἀνέβη ἐπὶ τοὺς κείροντας τὰ πρόβατα αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς καὶ Ιρας ὁ ποιμὴν αὐτοῦ ὁ Οδολλαμίτης εἰς Θαμνα
過了許多日子，猶大的妻子書亞死了。猶大得了安慰，就和他的牧人亞杜蘭人伊拉上亭拿去，到剪他羊毛的人那裡。
And the days were multiplied, and Saua the wife of Judas died. And Judas, having been comforted, went up to those shearing his sheep, he and Iras his shepherd the Odollamite, to Thamna.
38:13
καὶ ἀπηγγέλη Θαμαρ τῇ νύμφῃ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες ἰδοὺ ὁ πενθερός σου ἀναβαίνει εἰς Θαμνα κεῖραι τὰ πρόβατα αὐτοῦ
有人告訴他的兒婦他瑪說：看哪，你公公上亭拿去剪他的羊毛。
And it was reported to Thamar his daughter-in-law, saying, Behold, your father-in-law is going up to Thamna to shear his sheep.
38:14
καὶ περιελομένη τὰ ἱμάτια τῆς χηρεύσεως ἀφ’ ἑαυτῆς περιεβάλετο θέριστρον καὶ ἐκαλλωπίσατο καὶ ἐκάθισεν πρὸς ταῖς πύλαις Αιναν ἥ ἐστιν ἐν παρόδῳ Θαμνα εἶδεν γὰρ ὅτι μέγας γέγονεν Σηλωμ αὐτὸς δὲ οὐκ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα
她就脫下守寡的衣裳，披上薄紗，妝飾自己，坐在亭拿路旁艾南的城門口；因為她見示羅已經長大，父親卻沒有把她給他為妻。
And she took off from herself the garments of her widowhood, and put on a light summer veil and adorned herself, and sat at the gates of Ainan, which is on the way to Thamna; for she saw that Selom had become great, but he had not given her to him as a wife.
38:15
καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὴν Ιουδας ἔδοξεν αὐτὴν πόρνην εἶναι κατεκαλύψατο γὰρ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῆς καὶ οὐκ ἐπέγνω αὐτήν
猶大看見她，以為她是妓女，因為她蒙著臉，他就不認得她。
And Judas, seeing her, thought her to be a prostitute, for she had covered her face, and he did not recognize her.
38:16
ἐξέκλινεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὴν τὴν ὁδὸν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ ἔασόν με εἰσελθεῖν πρὸς σέ οὐ γὰρ ἔγνω ὅτι ἡ νύμφη αὐτοῦ ἐστιν ἡ δὲ εἶπεν τί μοι δώσεις ἐὰν εἰσέλθῃς πρός με
他就在路上轉到她那裡去，對她說：容我與你同房；他原不知道她是自己的兒婦。她說：你要與我同房，把甚麼給我呢？
And he turned aside to her by the way and said to her, Let me come in to you; for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. And she said, What will you give me if you come in to me?
38:17
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ἐγώ σοι ἀποστελῶ ἔριφον αἰγῶν ἐκ τῶν προβάτων ἡ δὲ εἶπεν ἐὰν δῷς ἀρραβῶνα ἕως τοῦ ἀποστεῖλαί σε
他說：我從羊群裡取一隻山羊羔打發人送來給你。她說：若你給我一個質押，等你打發人送來。
And he said, I will send you a kid of the goats from the flock. And she said, If you will give a pledge until you send it.
38:18
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν τίνα τὸν ἀρραβῶνά σοι δώσω ἡ δὲ εἶπεν τὸν δακτύλιόν σου καὶ τὸν ὁρμίσκον καὶ τὴν ῥάβδον τὴν ἐν τῇ χειρί σου καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῇ καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς αὐτήν καὶ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔλαβεν ἐξ αὐτοῦ
他說：我給你甚麼作質押呢？她說：你的印戒、你的項鍊，和你手裡的杖。他就給了她，與她同房，她就從他懷了孕。
And he said, What pledge shall I give you? And she said, Your ring and your necklace and the staff that is in your hand. And he gave them to her and went in to her, and she conceived by him.
38:19
καὶ ἀναστᾶσα ἀπῆλθεν καὶ περιείλατο τὸ θέριστρον ἀφ’ ἑαυτῆς καὶ ἐνεδύσατο τὰ ἱμάτια τῆς χηρεύσεως αὐτῆς
她就起來走了，脫下薄紗，仍穿上她守寡的衣裳。
And rising up she went away, and took off the summer veil from herself, and put on the garments of her widowhood.
38:20
ἀπέστειλεν δὲ Ιουδας τὸν ἔριφον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἐν χειρὶ τοῦ ποιμένος αὐτοῦ τοῦ Οδολλαμίτου κομίσασθαι τὸν ἀρραβῶνα παρὰ τῆς γυναικός καὶ οὐχ εὗρεν αὐτήν
猶大託他的牧人亞杜蘭人的手，把山羊羔送去，要從那女人手裡取回質押，卻找不著她。
And Judas sent the kid from the goats by the hand of his shepherd the Odollamite, to receive back the pledge from the woman; and he did not find her.
38:21
ἐπηρώτησεν δὲ τοὺς ἄνδρας τοὺς ἐκ τοῦ τόπου ποῦ ἐστιν ἡ πόρνη ἡ γενομένη ἐν Αιναν ἐπὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ καὶ εἶπαν οὐκ ἦν ἐνταῦθα πόρνη
他就問那地方的人說：那在路旁艾南的妓女在哪裡？他們說：這裡並沒有妓女。
And he asked the men of that place, Where is the prostitute who was in Ainan by the road? And they said, There was no prostitute here.
38:22
καὶ ἀπεστράφη πρὸς Ιουδαν καὶ εἶπεν οὐχ εὗρον καὶ οἱ ἄνθρωποι οἱ ἐκ τοῦ τόπου λέγουσιν μὴ εἶναι ὧδε πόρνην
他回到猶大那裡，說：我沒有找著她；並且那地方的人說：這裡沒有妓女。
And he returned to Judas and said, I did not find her; and the men of that place say there is no prostitute here.
38:23
εἶπεν δὲ Ιουδας ἐχέτω αὐτά ἀλλὰ μήποτε καταγελασθῶμεν ἐγὼ μὲν ἀπέσταλκα τὸν ἔριφον τοῦτον σὺ δὲ οὐχ εὕρηκας
猶大說：讓她拿去吧，免得我們被人恥笑。我把這山羊羔送去了，你卻沒有找著她。
And Judas said, Let her keep them, only lest we be laughed at: I indeed sent this kid, but you did not find her.
38:24
ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ τρίμηνον ἀπηγγέλη τῷ Ιουδα λέγοντες ἐκπεπόρνευκεν Θαμαρ ἡ νύμφη σου καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔχει ἐκ πορνείας εἶπεν δὲ Ιουδας ἐξαγάγετε αὐτήν καὶ κατακαυθήτω
約過了三個月，有人告訴猶大說：你的兒婦他瑪行了淫；並且看哪，她因行淫懷了孕。猶大說：把她拉出來，燒了吧。
And it happened after three months that it was reported to Judas, saying, Thamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot, and behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judas said, Bring her out, and let her be burned.
38:25
αὐτὴ δὲ ἀγομένη ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς τὸν πενθερὸν αὐτῆς λέγουσα ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τίνος ταῦτά ἐστιν ἐγὼ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔχω καὶ εἶπεν ἐπίγνωθι τίνος ὁ δακτύλιος καὶ ὁ ὁρμίσκος καὶ ἡ ῥάβδος αὕτη
她被拉出來的時候，就打發人去見她公公，說：這些東西是誰的，我就是從誰懷的孕。她又說：請你認一認，這印戒、項鍊和杖都是誰的。
But as she was being led out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, By the man whose these things are, I am with child. And she said, Recognize whose is the ring and the necklace and this staff.
38:26
ἐπέγνω δὲ Ιουδας καὶ εἶπεν δεδικαίωται Θαμαρ ἢ ἐγώ οὗ εἵνεκεν οὐκ ἔδωκα αὐτὴν Σηλωμ τῷ υἱῷ μου καὶ οὐ προσέθετο ἔτι τοῦ γνῶναι αὐτήν
猶大認出來了，就說：她比我更有義，因為我沒有把她給我的兒子示羅。從此猶大不再與她同房。
And Judas recognized them and said, Thamar has been justified rather than I, because I did not give her to Selom my son. And he did not continue to know her again.
38:27
ἐγένετο δὲ ἡνίκα ἔτικτεν καὶ τῇδε ἦν δίδυμα ἐν τῇ γαστρὶ αὐτῆς
到她生產的時候，她腹中也有一對雙生。
And it happened, when she was giving birth, that in her case also there were twins in her womb.
38:28
ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ τίκτειν αὐτὴν ὁ εἷς προεξήνεγκεν τὴν χεῖρα λαβοῦσα δὲ ἡ μαῖα ἔδησεν ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ κόκκινον λέγουσα οὗτος ἐξελεύσεται πρότερος
正生產的時候，一個孩子先伸出手來；接生婆就拿硃紅線拴在他手上，說：這一個要先出來。
And it happened, while she was giving birth, that the one put forth his hand; and the midwife took and bound scarlet upon his hand, saying, This one shall come out first.
38:29
ὡς δὲ ἐπισυνήγαγεν τὴν χεῖρα καὶ εὐθὺς ἐξῆλθεν ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ἡ δὲ εἶπεν τί διεκόπη διὰ σὲ φραγμός καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Φαρες
他把手收回去的時候，他兄弟隨即出來了。她說：這破口為何因你而裂開呢？於是給他起名叫法勒斯。
But as he drew his hand back in, immediately his brother came out; and she said, Why has a breach been broken through because of you? And she called his name Phares.
38:30
καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ἐξῆλθεν ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ἐφ’ ᾧ ἦν ἐπὶ τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸ κόκκινον καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ζαρα
後來，他手上有硃紅線的兄弟也出來了；於是給他起名叫謝拉。
And after this his brother came out, upon whose hand was the scarlet; and she called his name Zara.
