μετὰ τοῦτο ἤνοιξεν Ιωβ τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ
此後，約伯開口，
After this Job opened his mouth
3:2
καὶ κατηράσατο τὴν ἡμέραν αὐτοῦ λέγων
咒詛自己的日子，說：
and cursed his day, saying:
3:3
ἀπόλοιτο ἡ ἡμέρα ἐν ᾗ ἐγεννήθην καὶ ἡ νύξ ἐν ᾗ εἶπαν ἰδοὺ ἄρσεν
願我生的那日滅沒，願人說「看哪，是個男的」的那夜也滅沒。
"Let the day perish on which I was born, and the night in which they said, 'Behold, a male child.'
3:4
ἡ ἡμέρα ἐκείνη εἴη σκότος καὶ μὴ ἀναζητήσαι αὐτὴν ὁ κύριος ἄνωθεν μηδὲ ἔλθοι εἰς αὐτὴν φέγγος
願那日變為黑暗，願主不從上面尋找它，也不要有光輝臨到它。
Let that day be darkness, and let the Lord from above not seek it out, nor let brightness come upon it.
3:5
ἐκλάβοι δὲ αὐτὴν σκότος καὶ σκιὰ θανάτου ἐπέλθοι ἐπ’ αὐτὴν γνόφος
願黑暗和死蔭奪取它，願幽暗臨到它。
Let darkness and the shadow of death seize it; let gloom come upon it.
3:6
καταραθείη ἡ ἡμέρα καὶ ἡ νὺξ ἐκείνη ἀπενέγκαιτο αὐτὴν σκότος μὴ εἴη εἰς ἡμέρας ἐνιαυτοῦ μηδὲ ἀριθμηθείη εἰς ἡμέρας μηνῶν
願那日受咒詛；至於那夜，願黑暗把它奪去；願它不列在一年的日子裡，也不算在月份的日數中。
Let that day be cursed, and let darkness carry off that night; let it not be among the days of the year, nor be numbered among the days of the months.
3:7
ἀλλὰ ἡ νὺξ ἐκείνη εἴη ὀδύνη καὶ μὴ ἔλθοι ἐπ’ αὐτὴν εὐφροσύνη μηδὲ χαρμονή
願那夜成為痛苦，願喜樂和歡騰都不臨到它。
But let that night be pain, and let no gladness nor joy come upon it.
3:8
ἀλλὰ καταράσαιτο αὐτὴν ὁ καταρώμενος τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην ὁ μέλλων τὸ μέγα κῆτος χειρώσασθαι
願那咒詛日子的咒詛它，就是那將要制伏大海獸的。
But let him curse it who curses that day, he who is about to subdue the great sea-monster.
3:9
σκοτωθείη τὰ ἄστρα τῆς νυκτὸς ἐκείνης ὑπομείναι καὶ εἰς φωτισμὸν μὴ ἔλθοι καὶ μὴ ἴδοι ἑωσφόρον ἀνατέλλοντα
願那夜的星宿變為黑暗；願它苦等而不得光明，也看不見晨星上升。
Let the stars of that night be darkened; let it wait and not come to light, and let it not see the morning star rising.
3:10
ὅτι οὐ συνέκλεισεν πύλας γαστρὸς μητρός μου ἀπήλλαξεν γὰρ ἂν πόνον ἀπὸ ὀφθαλμῶν μου
因為它沒有關閉我母腹的門；若關閉了，就必使勞苦離開我的眼目。
Because it did not shut the gates of my mother's womb; for it would have removed trouble from my eyes.
3:11
διὰ τί γὰρ ἐν κοιλίᾳ οὐκ ἐτελεύτησα ἐκ γαστρὸς δὲ ἐξῆλθον καὶ οὐκ εὐθὺς ἀπωλόμην
我為甚麼不在腹中就死去？為甚麼出了母胎卻沒有立刻滅亡？
For why did I not die in the belly, but came forth from the womb and did not perish at once?
3:12
ἵνα τί δὲ συνήντησάν μοι γόνατα ἵνα τί δὲ μαστοὺς ἐθήλασα
為甚麼有膝接住我？為甚麼有乳給我吃？
And why did knees receive me? And why did I suck the breasts?
3:13
νῦν ἂν κοιμηθεὶς ἡσύχασα ὑπνώσας δὲ ἀνεπαυσάμην
不然，我現在早已躺臥安靜，早已睡著安息了，
For now I would have lain down and been quiet; having slept, I would have been at rest,
3:14
μετὰ βασιλέων βουλευτῶν γῆς οἳ ἠγαυριῶντο ἐπὶ ξίφεσιν
與地上作謀士的君王同在，就是那些以刀劍誇耀的；
with kings, counselors of the earth, who exulted in their swords,
3:15
ἢ μετὰ ἀρχόντων ὧν πολὺς ὁ χρυσός οἳ ἔπλησαν τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν ἀργυρίου
或與那些多有黃金的首領同在，就是那些使自己房屋充滿銀子的；
or with rulers whose gold was much, who filled their houses with silver;
3:16
ἢ ὥσπερ ἔκτρωμα ἐκπορευόμενον ἐκ μήτρας μητρὸς ἢ ὥσπερ νήπιοι οἳ οὐκ εἶδον φῶς
或像從母胎墜下的胎兒，或像未曾見過光的嬰孩。
or like an untimely birth coming out of a mother's womb, or like infants who never saw light.
3:17
ἐκεῖ ἀσεβεῖς ἐξέκαυσαν θυμὸν ὀργῆς ἐκεῖ ἀνεπαύσαντο κατάκοποι τῷ σώματι
在那裡，不敬虔的人燒盡了烈怒；在那裡，身體困乏的人得了安息。
There the ungodly burned out the fury of wrath; there those worn out in body found rest.
3:18
ὁμοθυμαδὸν δὲ οἱ αἰώνιοι οὐκ ἤκουσαν φωνὴν φορολόγου
那些長眠的人一同不再聽見收稅人的聲音。
And together those of old did not hear the voice of the tax collector.
3:19
μικρὸς καὶ μέγας ἐκεῖ ἐστιν καὶ θεράπων οὐ δεδοικὼς τὸν κύριον αὐτοῦ
小的和大的都在那裡，僕人也不再懼怕他的主人。
Small and great are there, and the servant who no longer fears his master.
3:20
ἵνα τί γὰρ δέδοται τοῖς ἐν πικρίᾳ φῶς ζωὴ δὲ ταῖς ἐν ὀδύναις ψυχαῖς
為甚麼有光賜給在苦痛中的人？為甚麼有生命賜給在疼痛中的魂？
For why is light given to those in bitterness, and life to the souls that are in pains,
3:21
οἳ ὁμείρονται τοῦ θανάτου καὶ οὐ τυγχάνουσιν ἀνορύσσοντες ὥσπερ θησαυρούς
他們切望死亡卻得不著，像挖掘寶藏一樣尋找它。
who long for death and do not obtain it, digging for it as for treasures?
3:22
περιχαρεῖς δὲ ἐγένοντο ἐὰν κατατύχωσιν
他們若找著了，就極其歡喜。
And they become overjoyed if they light upon it.
3:23
θάνατος ἀνδρὶ ἀνάπαυμα συνέκλεισεν γὰρ ὁ θεὸς κατ’ αὐτοῦ
死亡對人是安息，因為神把他四面關閉了。
Death is rest for a man, for God has shut him in.
3:24
πρὸ γὰρ τῶν σίτων μου στεναγμός μοι ἥκει δακρύω δὲ ἐγὼ συνεχόμενος φόβῳ
我的歎息在我的飲食以先來到；我被懼怕困住，就流淚。
For my groaning comes before my food, and I weep, gripped by fear.
3:25
φόβος γάρ ὃν ἐφρόντισα ἦλθέν μοι καὶ ὃν ἐδεδοίκειν συνήντησέν μοι
我所憂慮的懼怕臨到我，我所畏懼的迎面而來。
For the fear that I pondered has come upon me, and what I dreaded has met me.
3:26
οὔτε εἰρήνευσα οὔτε ἡσύχασα οὔτε ἀνεπαυσάμην ἦλθεν δέ μοι ὀργή
我不得平安，不得安靜，也不得安息，忿怒卻臨到了我。
I have had neither peace nor quiet nor rest, but wrath has come upon me."
