ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ελιους λέγει
以利烏接著說：
And Elious answered and says:
34:2
ἀκούσατέ μου σοφοί ἐπιστάμενοι ἐνωτίζεσθε τὸ καλόν
智慧人哪，你們要聽我；有知識的人哪，要側耳聽美善的事。
Hear me, you wise; you who have knowledge, give ear to what is good.
34:3
ὅτι οὖς λόγους δοκιμάζει καὶ λάρυγξ γεύεται βρῶσιν
因為耳朵試驗言語，喉嚨嘗試食物。
For the ear tests words, and the throat tastes food.
34:4
κρίσιν ἑλώμεθα ἑαυτοῖς γνῶμεν ἀνὰ μέσον ἑαυτῶν ὅ τι καλόν
我們要為自己選擇公斷，在我們彼此中間分辨甚麼是美善的。
Let us choose judgement for ourselves; let us know among ourselves what is good.
34:5
ὅτι εἴρηκεν Ιωβ δίκαιός εἰμι ὁ κύριος ἀπήλλαξέν μου τὸ κρίμα
因為約伯說過：我是義的，主卻奪去了我的公理。
For Job has said, I am righteous; the Lord has taken away my judgement.
34:6
ἐψεύσατο δὲ τῷ κρίματί μου βίαιον τὸ βέλος μου ἄνευ ἀδικίας
他說：在我的案件上主說了謊；我所中的箭甚是猛烈，我卻沒有不義。
And, He has lied in my cause; the arrow in me is violent, though I have done no wrong.
34:7
τίς ἀνὴρ ὥσπερ Ιωβ πίνων μυκτηρισμὸν ὥσπερ ὕδωρ
有誰像約伯那樣，喝譏誚如同喝水呢？
What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water?
34:8
οὐχ ἁμαρτὼν οὐδὲ ἀσεβήσας ἢ ὁδοῦ κοινωνήσας μετὰ ποιούντων τὰ ἄνομα τοῦ πορευθῆναι μετὰ ἀσεβῶν
他既沒有犯罪，也沒有行不敬虔的事，或與行不法的人同路，與不敬虔的人同行。
not having sinned nor acted impiously, nor shared a way with those who do lawless things, to walk with the ungodly.
34:9
μὴ γὰρ εἴπῃς ὅτι οὐκ ἔσται ἐπισκοπὴ ἀνδρός καὶ ἐπισκοπὴ αὐτῷ παρὰ κυρίου
你不可說：人必不受鑒察，也不受主的眷察。
For do not say that there will be no visitation of a man, and no visitation for him from the Lord.
34:10
διό συνετοὶ καρδίας ἀκούσατέ μου μή μοι εἴη ἔναντι κυρίου ἀσεβῆσαι καὶ ἔναντι παντοκράτορος ταράξαι τὸ δίκαιον
所以心中聰明的人哪，你們要聽我：我斷不可在主面前行不敬虔的事，也不可在全能者面前擾亂公義。
Therefore, you who are understanding of heart, hear me: far be it from me to act impiously before the Lord, or to trouble justice before the Almighty.
34:11
ἀλλὰ ἀποδιδοῖ ἀνθρώπῳ καθὰ ποιεῖ ἕκαστος αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τρίβῳ ἀνδρὸς εὑρήσει αὐτόν
他倒要照各人所行的報應人，按人的路途找著他。
But he renders to a man according to what each of them does, and in a man's path he will find him.
34:12
οἴῃ δὲ τὸν κύριον ἄτοπα ποιήσειν ἢ ὁ παντοκράτωρ ταράξει κρίσιν
你以為主會行乖謬的事麼？全能者會擾亂公斷麼？
Do you think the Lord will do absurd things, or the Almighty will trouble judgement?
34:13
ὃς ἐποίησεν τὴν γῆν τίς δέ ἐστιν ὁ ποιῶν τὴν ὑπ’ οὐρανὸν καὶ τὰ ἐνόντα πάντα
是他造了地；還有誰能造天下和其中的一切呢？
He it is who made the earth; and who is it that makes what is under heaven and all that is in it?
34:14
εἰ γὰρ βούλοιτο συνέχειν καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα παρ’ αὐτῷ κατασχεῖν
他若有意收回，把氣息留在自己那裡，
For if he were minded to hold back, and to keep the spirit with himself,
34:15
τελευτήσει πᾶσα σὰρξ ὁμοθυμαδόν πᾶς δὲ βροτὸς εἰς γῆν ἀπελεύσεται ὅθεν καὶ ἐπλάσθη
凡有血肉的就都一同死亡，一切必死的人都要歸回他受造的塵土。
All flesh would die together, and every mortal would go back to the earth from which he was formed.
34:16
εἰ δὲ μὴ νουθετῇ ἄκουε ταῦτα ἐνωτίζου φωνὴν ῥημάτων
你若不受勸戒，就當聽這些話，側耳聽這言語的聲音。
But if you are not admonished, hear these things; give ear to the sound of the words.
34:17
ἰδὲ σὺ τὸν μισοῦντα ἄνομα καὶ τὸν ὀλλύντα τοὺς πονηροὺς ὄντα αἰώνιον δίκαιον
你要看那恨惡不法、除滅惡人的，他是永遠公義的。
Look at him who hates lawless things and destroys the wicked, who is eternally righteous.
34:18
ἀσεβὴς ὁ λέγων βασιλεῖ παρανομεῖς ἀσεβέστατε τοῖς ἄρχουσιν
那對君王說「你違法」的，乃是不敬虔的；對首領說「你極其不敬虔」的也是如此。
Ungodly is the one who says to a king, You break the law, and to rulers, You are most ungodly.
34:19
ὃς οὐκ ἐπῃσχύνθη πρόσωπον ἐντίμου οὐδὲ οἶδεν τιμὴν θέσθαι ἁδροῖς θαυμασθῆναι πρόσωπα αὐτῶν
他不因尊貴人的臉面而羞怯，也不知道特別尊重顯要，或高看他們的面貌。
He who was not ashamed before the face of the honourable, nor knows how to give honour to the great, nor to admire their faces.
34:20
κενὰ δὲ αὐτοῖς ἀποβήσεται τὸ κεκραγέναι καὶ δεῖσθαι ἀνδρός ἐχρήσαντο γὰρ παρανόμως ἐκκλινομένων ἀδυνάτων
他們的哀呼和向人的懇求必成為徒然，因為他們行事違法，使無力的人被排擠。
Their crying out and begging a man shall come to nothing, for they acted lawlessly while the powerless were turned aside.
34:21
αὐτὸς γὰρ ὁρατής ἐστιν ἔργων ἀνθρώπων λέληθεν δὲ αὐτὸν οὐδὲν ὧν πράσσουσιν
因為他鑒察人的行為，人所作的沒有一件能瞞過他。
For he is a beholder of the works of men, and nothing of what they do escapes him.
34:22
οὐδὲ ἔσται τόπος τοῦ κρυβῆναι τοὺς ποιοῦντας τὰ ἄνομα
行不法之事的人也沒有地方可以藏身。
Nor shall there be a place for those who do lawless things to hide.
34:23
ὅτι οὐκ ἐπ’ ἄνδρα θήσει ἔτι ὁ γὰρ κύριος πάντας ἐφορᾷ
因為他不再加重在人身上，主原是鑒察眾人的。
For he will not lay more upon a man, for the Lord surveys all.
34:24
ὁ καταλαμβάνων ἀνεξιχνίαστα ἔνδοξά τε καὶ ἐξαίσια ὧν οὐκ ἔστιν ἀριθμός
他行測不透的事，就是榮耀非凡、不可勝數的事。
He who comprehends things unsearchable, glorious and extraordinary, of which there is no number.
34:25
ὁ γνωρίζων αὐτῶν τὰ ἔργα καὶ στρέψει νύκτα καὶ ταπεινωθήσονται
他知道他們的行為；他一使黑夜轉回，他們就被降卑。
He who knows their works; and he will turn the night, and they shall be brought low.
34:26
ἔσβεσεν δὲ ἀσεβεῖς ὁρατοὶ δὲ ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ
他撲滅了不敬虔的人，他們都顯露在他面前。
And he quenched the ungodly, and they are visible before him.
34:27
ὅτι ἐξέκλιναν ἐκ νόμου θεοῦ δικαιώματα δὲ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐπέγνωσαν
因為他們偏離了神的律法，也不認識他的典章，
Because they turned aside from the law of God, and did not acknowledge his ordinances,
34:28
τοῦ ἐπαγαγεῖν ἐπ’ αὐτὸν κραυγὴν πένητος καὶ κραυγὴν πτωχῶν εἰσακούσεται
以致把困苦人的哀聲招到他面前；貧窮人的哀聲他必垂聽。
so as to bring the cry of the needy before him; and he will hear the cry of the poor.
34:29
καὶ αὐτὸς ἡσυχίαν παρέξει καὶ τίς καταδικάσεται καὶ κρύψει πρόσωπον καὶ τίς ὄψεται αὐτόν καὶ κατὰ ἔθνους καὶ κατὰ ἀνθρώπου ὁμοῦ
他若賜下安靜，誰能定罪呢？他若掩面，誰能看見他呢？無論是對一國，或是對一人，都是一樣。
And if he grants quiet, who shall condemn? And if he hides his face, who shall see him? Both against a nation and against a man alike.
34:30
βασιλεύων ἄνθρωπον ὑποκριτὴν ἀπὸ δυσκολίας λαοῦ
他使假冒為善的人作王，是因百姓的頑梗。
making a hypocrite to reign, because of the perversity of the people.
34:31
ὅτι πρὸς τὸν ἰσχυρὸν ὁ λέγων εἴληφα οὐκ ἐνεχυράσω
因為有人對那大能者說：我已經領受了，必不再取抵押。
For there is one who says to the Mighty One, I have received; I will not take a pledge.
34:32
ἄνευ ἐμαυτοῦ ὄψομαι σὺ δεῖξόν μοι εἰ ἀδικίαν ἠργασάμην οὐ μὴ προσθήσω
我要看見我自己之外的事；你若指示我行了甚麼不義，我必不再行。
I will see apart from myself; you show me if I have done wrong, and I will do so no more.
34:33
μὴ παρὰ σοῦ ἀποτείσει αὐτήν ὅτι ἀπώσῃ ὅτι σὺ ἐκλέξῃ καὶ οὐκ ἐγώ καὶ τί ἔγνως λάλησον
難道他要照你的意思償還麼？因為你拒絕了；因為作揀選的是你，不是我。你知道甚麼，就說出來吧。
Will he repay it at your will, seeing you reject it? For it is you who will choose, and not I. And what do you know? Speak.
34:34
διὸ συνετοὶ καρδίας ἐροῦσιν ταῦτα ἀνὴρ δὲ σοφὸς ἀκήκοέν μου τὸ ῥῆμα
所以心中聰明的人必這樣說，智慧人也必聽了我的話。
Therefore those understanding of heart will say these things, and a wise man has heard my word.
34:35
Ιωβ δὲ οὐκ ἐν συνέσει ἐλάλησεν τὰ δὲ ῥήματα αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐν ἐπιστήμῃ
約伯說話沒有聰明，他的言語也沒有知識。
But Job spoke without understanding, and his words were not with knowledge.
34:36
οὐ μὴν δὲ ἀλλὰ μάθε Ιωβ μὴ δῷς ἔτι ἀνταπόκρισιν ὥσπερ οἱ ἄφρονες
然而約伯阿，你要學習，不要再像愚妄人那樣回嘴，
Nevertheless, learn, Job; give no more retort like the foolish,
34:37
ἵνα μὴ προσθῶμεν ἐφ’ ἁμαρτίαις ἡμῶν ἀνομία δὲ ἐφ’ ἡμῖν λογισθήσεται πολλὰ λαλούντων ῥήματα ἐναντίον τοῦ κυρίου
免得我們的罪上加罪；我們若在主面前多說話，不法就要算在我們身上。
lest we add to our sins; and lawlessness will be reckoned against us if we speak many words before the Lord.
