34:1
ወበሳድስ ፡ ዓመቱ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ሱባዔ ፡ እምዝንቱ ፡ ዘአርብዓ ፡ ወአርባዕቱ ፡ ኢዮቤልዉ ።
在第四十四個禧年這第六個七年的第六年。
And in the sixth year of this week, of this forty-fourth jubilee,
34:2
ወተጋብኡ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ሰብዐቲሆሙ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ አሞሬዎን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትልዎሙ ፡ ተኀቢኦሙ ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ኦም ፡ ወከመ ፡ ይማህርኩ ፡ እንስሳሆሙ ።
亞摩利的七個王聚集起來攻擊他們，要殺他們，藏在樹下，並要擄掠他們的牲畜為掠物。
2 And the seven kings of the Amorites assembled themselves together against them, to slay them, hiding themselves under the trees, and to take their cattle as a prey.
34:3
ወያዕቆብ ፡ ወሌዊ ፡ ወይሁዳ ፡ ወዮሴፍ ፡ ሀለዉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ይስሐቅ ፡ አቡሆሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ የሐዝኖ ፡ መንፈሱ ፡ ወስእኑ ፡ ኀዲጎቶ ፡ ወብንያም ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘይንእስ ፡ ወበእንተዝ ፡ ነበረ ፡ ኀቤሁ ።
雅各和利未、猶大、約瑟都在家中與他們父親以撒同在，因為以撒心裏憂愁，他們不忍離開他；便雅憫是最小的，所以也留在父親身邊。
And Jacob and Levi and Judah and Joseph were in the house with Isaac their father; for his spirit was sorrowful, and they could not leave him: and Benjamin was the youngest, and for this reason remained with his father.
34:4
ወመጽኡ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ታፉ ፡ ወነገሥተ ፡ አሬስ ፡ ወነገሥተ ፡ ሴራጋን ፡ ወነገሥተ ፡ ሴሎ ፡ ወንጉሥ ፡ ጋአዝ ፡ ወንጉሠ ፡ ቤቶሮን ፡ ወንጉሠ ፡ ማአኒሳኪር ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተዝ ፡ ደብር ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኦመ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናአን ።
有他普王、亞利撒王、西拉幹王、示羅王、迦阿斯王、伯和崙王、瑪阿尼撒基王，並一切住在這山中、住在迦南地林間的人都來了。
And there came the king [s ] 3 of Tâphû, 4 and the king [s ] 1 of †’Arêsa,† 2 and the king [s ] 1 of Sêragân, 3 and the king [s ] 1 of Sêlô, 4 and the king [s ] 1 of Gâ’as, 5 and the king of Bêthôrôn, 6 and the king of †Ma’anîsâkîr,† 7 and all those who dwell in these mountains (and) who dwell in the woods in the land of Canaan.
34:5
ወዜነውዎ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብሉ ፡ ከመ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ነገሥቶ ፡ አሞሬዎን ፡ ዐገትዎሙ ፡ ለውሉድከ ፡ ወመራዕዮሙሂ ፡ ተማሠጡ ።
他們告訴雅各說：「看哪，亞摩利的眾王圍困了你的兒子們，又擄掠了他們的牲畜。」
And they announced this to Jacob saying: "Behold, the kings of the Amorites have surrounded thy sons, and plundered their herds. "
34:6
ወተንሥአ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወሠለስቲሆሙ ፡ ውሉዱ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ ደቀ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ወደቁ ፡ ወሖረ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ በስሳ ፡ ምእት ፡ ዕድ ፡ እለ ፡ ይጸውሩ ፡ አስይፍተ ፡ 7 ወቀተሎሙ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ጺኦት ፡ ዘሰቂሞን ፡ ወዴገኑ ፡ እለ ፡ ጐዩ ፡ ወቀተሎሙ ፡ በአፈ ፡ ሰይፍ ።
雅各就和他三個兒子、他父親一切的僕人並他自己的僕人，從家中起來，帶著六百個佩刀的人去攻打他們。他在示劍的曠野殺了他們，又追趕那些逃跑的，用刀殺了。
And he arose from his housel he and his three sons and all the servants of his father, and his own servants, and he went against them with six thousand 8 men, who carried swords.
34:8
ወአስተጋብአ ፡ መራዕዪሁ ።
他收聚了他的牲畜。
And he prevailed over them, and imposed tribute on them that they should pay him tribute, five fruit products of their land, and he built Rôbêl 10 and Tamnâtârês
34:9
ወተመይጠ ፡ በሰላም ።
他平平安安地回來，與他們和好，他們就作了他的僕人。
And he returned in peace, and made peace with them, and they became his servants, until the day that he and his sons went down into 2149 Egypt.
34:10
ወበሳብዕ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ዘዝ ፡ ሱባዔ ፡ ፈነወ ፡ ዮሴፍሃ ።
在這七年的第七年，他打發約瑟去。
12 And in the seventh year of this week he sent Joseph to learn about the welfare A.M. of his brothers from his house to the land of Shechem, and he found them in the land of Dothan.
34:11
ወሐብለይዎ ፡ ወገብሩ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ ምክረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትልዎ ።
他們用詭計待他，定計要殺他。
And they dealt treacherously with him, and formed a plot against him to slay him, but changing their minds, they sold him to Ishmaelite merchants, and they brought him down into Egypt, and they sold him to Potiphar, the eunuch 1 of Pharaoh, the chief of the cooks, 2 priest of the city of ’Êlêw.
34:12
ወውሉደ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ዘብሑ ፡ ደቤላ ፡ ጠሊ ፡ ወጸንቀቁ ፡ ልብሶ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ በደሙ ፡ ወፈነዉ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ አቡሆሙ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐሡሩ ፡ ለወርኅ ፡ ሳብዕ ።
雅各的眾子宰了一隻山羊羔，把約瑟的衣服蘸在血裏，在第七月初十打發人送到他們父親雅各那裏。
And the sons of Jacob slaughtered a kid, and dipped the coat of Joseph in the blood, and sent (it) to Jacob their father on the tenth of the seventh month.
34:13
ወለሐወ ፡ ኵላ ፡ ይእተ ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰርከ ፡ አምጽኡ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ኪያሁ ፡ ወፈፀነ ፡ በላሐ ፡ ሞቱ ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ከመ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ፀዋግ ፡ በልዖ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ወላሐዉ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ በዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወሀለዉ ፡ እንዘ ፡ የሐምሙ ፡ ወይላሕዉ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ኵላ ፡ ይእተ ፡ ዕለተ ።
那整夜他都哀哭，因為他們在傍晚把那衣服帶給他；他因哀悼兒子之死而發熱，說：「有惡獸把約瑟喫了。」那日他全家的人都與他一同哀傷哭泣。
And he mourned all that night, for they had brought it to him in the evening, and he became feverish with mourning for his death, and he said: "An evil beast hath devoured Joseph "; and all the members of his house [mourned with him that day, and they ] 4 were grieving and mourning with him all that day.
34:14
ወተንሥኡ ፡ ውሉዱ ፡ ወወለቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይናዝዝዎ ፡ ወኢተናዘዘ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ወልዱ ።
他的眾子和女兒起來安慰他，他卻不肯為他兒子受安慰。
And his sons and his daughter rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted for his son.
34:15
ወበውእቱ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ሰምዐት ፡ ባላን ፡ ከመ ፡ ተሐጕለ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ ትላሕዎ ፡ ሞተት ፡ ወይእቲ ፡ ሀለወት ፡ ትነብር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቀፍራቴፋ ፡ ወዲናኒ ፡ ወለቱ ፡ ሞተት ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ተሐጕለ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ወበጽሖሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ ላሕ ፡ በወርኅ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ 16 ወቀበርዋ ፡ ለባላን ፡ አንጸረ ፡ መቃብራ ፡ ለራሔል ፡ ወዲናሃኒ ፡ ወለቶ ፡ ቀበሩ ፡ ህየ ።
那日闢拉聽見約瑟喪了命，正哀哭時也死了；她原住在迦弗拉鐵；他女兒底拿也在約瑟喪命之後死了。這三場喪事在一個月之內臨到以色列。他們把闢拉葬在拉結墳墓的對面，他女兒底拿也葬在那裏。
And on that day Bilhah heard that Joseph had perished, and she died mourning him, and she was living in †Qafrâtêf† 5 and Dinah also, his daughter, died after Joseph had perished. And there came these three mournings upon Israel in one month.
34:17
ወሀሎ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይላሑ ፡ ድኅሬሁ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ አሐደ ፡ ወኢነገፈ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እረድ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መቃብር ፡ እንዘ ፡ እላሑ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ወልድየ ።
他為約瑟哀哭一年，不肯停止，因為他說：「我要悲哀著下到陰間，為我兒子哀哭。」
And he mourned for Joseph one year, and did not cease, for he said "Let me go down to the grave mourning for my son. "
34:18
በእንተዝ ፡ ተሠርዐ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሕመሙ ፡ በዐሡር ፡ ወርኅ ፡ በሳብዕ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ዘያበኪ ፡ ዮሴፍሃ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያስተስሪ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ በእጕለ ፡ አጣሊ ።
為此緣故，已為以色列的子孫定規，叫他們在第七月初十刻苦己心，就是那使他哀哭約瑟的惡耗傳到他父親雅各那裏的日子，叫他們在第七月初十每年一次用一隻山羊羔為自己贖罪。
For this reason 7 it is ordained for the children of Israel that they should afflict themselves 8 on the tenth of the seventh month--on the day that the news which made him weep for Joseph came to Jacob his father--that they should make atonement for themselves thereon with a young goat on the tenth of the seventh month, once a year, for their sins; for they had grieved the affection of their father regarding Joseph his son. 19 . And this day hath been ordained that they should grieve thereon for their sins, and for all their transgressions and for all their errors, so that they might cleanse themselves on that day once a year. ወተሠርዐት ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሕዘኑ ፡ ባቲ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አበሳሆሙ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ስሕተቶሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያንጽሑ ፡ ርእሶሙ ፡ በዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ምዕረ ፡ ለዓመት ።
這日已定規，叫他們在這日為自己的罪、為一切的過犯、為一切的錯謬而哀傷，使他們在這日每年一次潔淨自己。
And this day was ordained that they should grieve on it for their sin and for all their transgression and for all their error, that they might cleanse themselves on this day once a year.
34:20
ወእምድኅረ ፡ ተሐጕለ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ነሥኡ ፡ ለርእሶሙ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ አንስቲያ ።
約瑟喪命之後，雅各的眾子各自娶了妻。
And after Joseph perished, the sons of Jacob took unto themselves wives. The name of Reuben's wife is ’Adâ 1 and the name of Simeon's wife is ’Adîbâ’a, a Canaanite; 1 and the name of Levi's wife is Mêlkâ, 2 of the daughters of Aram, of the seed of the sons of Terah; and the name of Judah's wife, Bêtasû’êl, 3 a Canaanite; and the name of Issachar's wife, Hêzaqâ; and the name of Zebulon's wife, †Nî’îmân†; 4 and the name of Dan's wife, ’Êglâ; and the name of Naphtali's wife, Rasû’û, of Mesopotamia; and the name of Gad's wife, Mâka; and the name of Asher's wife, ’Îjônâ; and the name of Joseph's wife, Asenath, 5 the Egyptian; and the name of Benjamin's wife, ’Îjasaka.
34:21
ወተመይጦ ፡ ስምዖን ፡ ነሥአ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ እምነ ፡ መስጴጦምያ ፡ ካልእተ ፡ ከመ ፡ አኀዊሁ ።
西緬後來懊悔，照他弟兄們的樣，從美索不達米亞娶了第二個妻子。
And Simeon repented, and took a second wife from Mesopotamia as his brothers. Footnotes 10. According to xxx. 7 ff. such a marriage (with a Canaanitish woman) was punishable with death. 7. The name goes back to "Bath-shua " (i. e. "daughter of Shua "); cf. Test. Judah viii. 2, etc.; cf. Gen. xxxviii. 2.
