Remember that you go to the Lord, and that all things are in His hand, and that you shall stand for the deeds you have done, to be judged for them at the first.

For even so of old, the children of the watchers were wicked and proud, and there was none greater or stronger than they, nor of taller stature, nor of mightier arm; yet they did not set the Lord before them, nor know that He was their Maker who brought them out of nothingness.

And their fathers, while they were angels, praised together with the angels in heaven; but when their lust led them astray, they came down into the judgment of condemnation that is for ever.

And they took wives from among the children of men; for the Lord created for them the flesh of the children of men, to humble them because of the pride of their heart, and to prove them, whether they would keep His commandment and His law.

But they did not keep His commandment, and He brought them down into the judgment of the flame of fire, together with the devil their father; and on their account the days of man were shortened, for the Lord was wroth with the angels who sinned like men.

And they drew the children of men down with them, and brought them down into Sheol in their judgment.

At the first the days of man, when they came together, amounted to many years; but the days of man were shortened, because the angels sinned with the daughters of Cain.

And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not abide with them, for they are flesh and blood.

And because of this our days were shortened; and there are even those among us who die while they are yet infants, because our days were shortened from those of our forefathers because of our transgression and our sin.

But for our fathers their days were long, because they kept His commandment and did not provoke the Lord.

And they reproved their daughters that they might instruct them, and reproved their sons, that they should not transgress the commandment of the Lord.
