41:1
ኦሞት ፡ እፎ ፡ ዝክርከ ፡ መሪር ፡ሶበ ፡ ትመጽእ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ዳኅነ ፡ ይነብር ፡ ወይዴለው ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ወቦ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ወፍቱሕ ፡ ነፍሱ ፡ ለበሊዕ ።
O death, how bitter is the remembrance of you to a man that is at peace in his possessions, To the man that has nothing to distract him, and has prosperity in all things, And that still has strength to receive meat!
死亡哪，對那安享產業、平安無慮、凡事順利、又仍有力量享受飲食的人來說，想到你的時候，是何等的苦澀！
41:2
ኦሞት ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ኵነኔከ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ትመጽእ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ዘልህቀ ፡ ወረሥአ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ወኢምንተኒ ፡ ዘይክል ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘ [የአምን ]።
O death, acceptable is your sentence to a man that is needy, and that fails in strength, That is in extreme old age, and is distracted about all things, And is perverse, and has lost patience!
死亡哪，對那窮乏、力量衰殘、極其衰老、被萬事纏擾、性情乖戾、又已喪盡忍耐的人來說，你的判決是美好的！
41:3
ኢትፍራህ ፡ ኵነኔሁ ፡ ለሞት ፡ ተዘከሮሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ እምቅድሜከ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ እምድኅሬከ ።
Don’t be afraid of the sentence of death; Remember those who have been before you, and that come after: This is the sentence from the Lord over all flesh.
不要懼怕死亡的判決；要記念那在你以前的，和在你以後的。
41:4
እስመ ፡ ኵነኔ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘነፍስ ፡ ወለምንት ፡ እንከ ፡ ትግእዝ ፡ ፈቃዶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እመኒ ፡ ዐሠርተ ፡ ምእተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ሐዩከ ፡ አልብከ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሞት ፡ ዘለፋ ፡ ሕይወትከ ።
And why do you refuse, when it is the good pleasure of the Most High? Whether it be ten, or a hundred, or a thousand years, There is no inquisition of life in the grave.
這是主給凡有血氣者的判決；至高者既已定意，你又何必抗拒呢？無論是十年、百年或千年，在陰間都無人追究壽數的長短。
41:5
ውሉድ ፡ ሕርቱማ [ነ ]፡ ይከውኑ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ ወይትገፈታእ ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ፡ ለረሲዓን ።
The children of sinners are abominable children, And they frequent the dwellings of the ungodly.
罪人的兒女成了可憎的兒女，他們常與惡人的居所為伍。
41:6
ውሉደ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ የሀጕሉ ፡ ርስቶሙ ፡ ወልህቀ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ፍሬሆሙ ፡ ኀሳሮሙ ።
The inheritance of sinners’ children shall perish, And with their posterity shall be a perpetual reproach.
罪人兒女的產業必歸於滅亡，凌辱必永久跟隨他們的後裔。
41:7
ለአብ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ያሐረትሙ ፡ ውሉዱ ፡ እስመ ፡ በእንቲአሁ ፡ የኀስሩ ።
Children will complain of an ungodly father, Because they shall be reproached for his sake.
兒女必埋怨不敬虔的父親，因為他們要為他的緣故受人凌辱。
41:8
አሌ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ለዕደው ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ እለ ፡ ኀደግሙ ፡ ሕጎ ፡ ለልዑል ።
Woe to you, ungodly men, Which have forsaken the law of the Most High God!
你們這些不敬虔的人有禍了！你們竟離棄了至高神的律法。
41:9
ወእመኒ ፡ ተዋለድክሙ ፡ ለመርገም ፡ ትወልዱ ፤….።
If you⌃ be born, you⌃ shall be born to a curse; If you⌃ die, a curse shall be your portion.
你們若生下來，就是生來受咒詛的；你們若死了，咒詛也是你們的分。
41:10
ኵሉ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ፡ ተፈጥረ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ምግባኢሁ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ኃጥኣንሂ ፡ እመርገም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሞት ።
All things that are of the earth shall go back to the earth: So the ungodly shall go from a curse to perdition.
凡出於地的，都要歸回於地；照樣，不敬虔的人也要從咒詛歸於滅亡。
41:11
[ላሑ ]፡ ለሰብእ ፡ በሥጋሁ ፡ ወስሞሙኒ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ይደመሰስ ።
The mourning of men is about their bodies: But the name of sinners being evil shall be blotted out.
人的哀悼是關乎他們的身體；但罪人的名既屬邪惡，就必被塗抹。
41:12
ኀሊ ፡ ስመ ፡ ትግበር ፡ ለከ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይተርፈከ ፡ እምነ ፡ እልፍ ፡ መዛግብተ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ዐበይት ።
Have regard to your name; For it continueth with you longer than a thousand great treasures of gold.
要顧惜你的名聲，因為它存留與你的日子，比千萬金的大財寶更長久。
41:13
ሠናይ ፡ ሐይው ፡ በኈልቈ ፡ መዋዕሊከ ፡ በትፍሥሕት ፡ ይኄይስ ፡ ስም ፡ ሠናይ ፡ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ይቀውም ፡ ለከ ።
A good life has its number of days; And a good name continueth forever.
美好生活的日子是有限的，但美名卻存到永遠。
41:14
ጥበብሰ ፡ በሰላም ፡ ትትመሐፀን ፡ ውሉዳ ፡ ጥበብሰ ፡ ክቡት ፡ ወመዝገብ ፡ ዘኢያስተረኢ ፡ ምንት ፡ ረባሖሙ ፡ ለክልኤሆሙ ።
My children, keep instruction in peace: But wisdom that is hid, and a treasure that is not seen, What profit is in them both?
我的兒女啊，要平心持守教訓；但隱藏的智慧和不顯露的財寶，又有甚麼益處呢？
41:15
ይኄይስ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘየኀብስ ፡ እበዲሁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘይከብት ፡ ጥበቢሁ ።
Better is a man that hides his foolishness Than a man that hides his wisdom.
隱藏自己愚昧的人，勝過隱藏自己智慧的人。
41:16
ኅፈሩ ፡ እንከ ፡ ቃልየ ፡(ወጥበብየ )፤ኵሉ ፡ ዘየኀፍር ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ይትዐቀብ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘእሙን ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ይትሜከር ።
Wherefore show reverence to my word: For it is not good to retain every kind of shame; And not all things are approved by all in good faith.
所以，你們要敬重我的話；因為保守一切的羞愧未必都是好事，凡事也未必都被人以信實認可。
41:17
ኀፍረት ፡ ለአብ ፡ ወለእም ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ በዝሙት ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ለመልአክ ፡ ወለአበይት ፡ ሐሰት ።
Be ashamed of whoredom before father and mother: And of a lie before a prince and a mighty man;
在父母面前，要以淫亂為羞愧；在官長和掌權者面前，要以謊言為羞愧；
41:18
ኀፍረት ፡ ለመኰንን ፡ ወለመስፍን ፡ ወልጦ ፡ ቃል ፡ ኅፍረት ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ወለማኅበር ፡ ስሒት ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ተዓምዖ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ዐርክከ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ መዕመርከ ።
Of an offence before a judge and ruler; Of iniquity before the congregation and the people; Of unjust dealing before a partner and friend;
在審判官和首領面前，要以過犯為羞愧；在會眾和百姓面前，要以罪孽為羞愧；
41:19
ኀፍረት ፡ ለኀዳሪ ፡ ሰሪቀ ፡ ማኅደር ፤….፤ኀፍረት ፡ ተቃርቦ ፡ ለበሊዐ ፡ እክለ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ሰሪቅ ፡ እምንዋየ ፡ ማሕፀንትከ ፡ ወእምተግባረ ፡ ቢጸከ ።
And of theft in regard of the place where you sojourn, And in regard of the truth of God and his covenant; And of leaning with your elbow at meat; And of scurrility in the matter of giving and taking;
在同伴和朋友面前，要以不義為羞愧；在你寄居之地，要以偷竊為羞愧；
41:20
ኀፍረት ፡ ተጸምሞቱ ፡ ለዘ ፡ ይበጽሐከ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ አስተአድሞ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ባዕድ ።
And of silence before those who salute you; And of looking upon a woman that is a harlot;
要以違背神的真理和約為羞愧；在筵席上以肘倚桌為羞愧；
41:21
ኀፍረት ፡ ተዐውሮቱ ፡ ለቢጽከ ፡ በምንዳቤሁ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ተሰቊቆ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ተናግሮ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ወኢትትጓሕለው ፡ ላቲ ።
And of turning away your face from a kinsman; Of taking away a portion or a gift; And of gazing upon a woman that has a husband;
要以拒受或拒給為羞愧；對向你問安的人沉默不語，也當為羞愧；
41:22
ወኢትኂጣ ፡ ለወለታ ፡ ወኢትቅረብ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ምስካባ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ዘርክዮቱ ፡ ለዐርክከ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ጸገወከ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ አውፅኦ ፡ ነገር ፡ ዘሰማዕከ ፡ ኀፍረት ፡ ከሢተ ፡ ምክረ ፡ ዐርክከ ።
Of being over busy with his maid; and come not near her bed; Of upbraiding speeches before friends; And after you have given, upbraid not;
注視妓女是當羞愧的，轉臉不顧親屬也是當羞愧的；
41:23
ወዘንተ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ተዐቀብከ ፡ አማን ፡ ኀፋረ ፡ ትከውን ፡ ወትረክብ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ሞገሰ ።
Of repeating and speaking what you have heard; And of revealing of secrets.
奪取人的份額或禮物是當羞愧的，注目於有夫之婦也是當羞愧的；
