ሠያጢ ፡ ወሰካሪ ፡ ኢይብዕል ፡ ዘያሰትት ፡ ኅዳጠ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ የሀጕል ።
A workman that is a drunkard will not become rich: He that despises small things will fall by little and little.
酗酒的工人必不致富，輕看小事的人必漸漸敗落。
19:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ስታይ ፡ ወአንስት ፡ ያስሕቶ ፡ ለጠቢብ ፡ ወዘይተልዋ ፡ ለዘማ ፡ ጊጉይ ፡ ውእቱ ።
Wine and women will make men of understanding to fall away: And he that cleaves to harlots will be the more reckless.
酒與女人使有見識的人背道，貪戀娼妓的人必越發放肆。
19:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለዝ ፡ ደኃሪቱ ፡ ዕፄ ፡ ወሙስና ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ዝልፍት ፡ ኢትዜውር ።
Moths and worms will have him to heritage; And a reckless soul will be taken away.
腐爛與蛆蟲必承受他為業，放肆的心靈也必被剪除。
19:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘፍጡነ ፡ የአምን ፡ ቀሊል ፡ ልቡ ፡ ወዘይግበር ፡ ኀጢአተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ነፍሱ ፡ ይኤብስ ።
He that is hasty to trust is light-minded; And he that sins will offend against his own soul.
輕易信人的，心思輕浮；得罪自己心靈的，必陷於過犯。
19:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘያስተፌግዕ ፡ ልቦ ፡ ይትነከር ፡ ወዘይጸልእ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ነቢበ ፡ ያሐጽጻ ፡ ለኃጢአቱ ።
He that makes merry in his heart will be condemned:
心中放縱作樂的人必被定罪。
19:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢታውጽእ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዘሰማዕከ ፡ ወኢትድግም ፡ ወለዝላፉ ፡ ኢይብእሰከ ።
Never repeat what is told you, And you will fare never the worse.
絕不要重述聽來的話，你必不致受虧損。
19:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በኀበ ፡ ዐርክ ፡ ወጸላኢ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘትትናገር ፡ ወኢታይድዕ ፡ አበሳከ ፡ ዘሰማዕከ ።
Whether it be of friend or foe, tell it not; And unless it is a sin to you, reveal it not.
無論對朋友或仇敵，都不要傳述；除非說出來是有罪的，否則不要揭露。
19:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ ኢየኀብእ ፡ ለከ ፡ ወያጸንሐከ ።
For he has heard you, and observed you, And when the time comes he will hate you.
因為他聽見了你的話，便會防備你，到時候就會恨你。
19:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ትመውት ፡ ኢታውጽእ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ዘሰማዕከ ፡ ወተአመን ፡ እንከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሕሡም ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘይረክበከ ።
Hast you heard a word? let it die with you: Be of good courage, it will not burst you.
你聽見了一句話嗎？就讓它與你一同消逝吧；放心，它不會使你脹裂。
19:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
የዐነብዝ ፡ አብድ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይነግር ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዘሰምዐ ፡ ወይትዌፃኅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማሕምም ፡ እንተ ፡ ትወልድ ፡ ሕፃነ ።
A fool will travail in pain with a word, As a woman in labor with a child.
愚人聽見一句話，便如臨產的婦人因孩子陣痛一般難受。
19:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወከመ ፡ ይጔጕእ ፡ ዘተነድፈ ፡ ይምላኅ ፡ ሐጸ ፡ እምላዕሌሁ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይጔጕእ ፡ አብድ ፡ ያውጽእ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዘሰምዐ ።
As an arrow that sticks in the flesh of the thigh, So is a word in a fool’s belly.
如同箭插在大腿的肉中，一句話卡在愚人的腹中也是如此。
19:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ገሥጾ ፡ ለዐርክከ ፡ ዮጊ ፡ ኢገብረ ፡ ወእመኒ ፡ ገብረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይደግም ።
Reprove a friend; it may be he did it not: And if he did something, that he may do it no more.
要責備朋友，或許他並未行過；他若行過了，免得他再犯。
19:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ገሥጾ ፡ ለዐርክክ ፡ ዮጊ ፡ ኢነበበ ፡ ወእመኒ ፡ ነበበ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይድግም ።
Reprove your neighbor; it may be he said it not: And if he has said it, that he may not say it again.
要責備鄰舍，或許他並未說過；他若說過了，免得他再說。
19:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ገሥፆ ፡ ለዐርክክ ፡ ዮጊ ፡ በጽልእ ፡ አስተዋደይዎ ፡ ወኢትትአመን ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዘነገሩከ ።
Reprove a friend; for many times there is slander: And trust not every word.
要責備朋友，因為毀謗常有；不可輕信每句話。
19:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመቦ ፡ ዘይስሕት ፡ እንዘ ፡ ኢይፈቅድ ፡ እምልቡ ፡ ወመኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘኢይስሕት ፡ በአፉሁ ።
There is one that slips, and not from the heart: And who is he that has not sinned with his tongue?
有人失足，並非出於本心；誰沒有用舌頭犯過罪呢？
19:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ገሥጾ ፡ ለዐርክከ ፡ እንበለ ፡ ይትነዋኅ ፡ መዐት ፡ አኅልፋ ፡ ለመዐት ፡ እኪት ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ሕገ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Reprove your neighbor before you threaten him; And give place to the law of the Most High.
威嚇鄰舍之前，要先責備他；並要遵從至高者的律法。
19:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ ፈሪሀ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ ትገብሮ ፡ ለሕጉ ።
All wisdom is the fear of the Lord; And in all wisdom is the doing of the law.
一切智慧就是敬畏主，凡智慧之中都有律法的遵行。
19:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወአልቦ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ ዘእኩየ ፡ ይሜህር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ ምክረ ፡(ረሲአን ፡ወ )ኃጥኣን ።
And the knowledge of wickedness is not wisdom; And the prudence of sinners is not counsel.
通曉邪惡的知識並非智慧，罪人的精明也非真謀略。
19:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ቦ ፡ እከይ ፡ እንተ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ትረኵስ ፡ ወሀለወ ፡ አብድ ፡ ሕጹጽ ፡ ልብ ።
There is a wickedness, and the same is abomination; And there is a fool lacking in wisdom.
有一種狡詐，乃是可憎的；也有一種愚人，是缺乏智慧的。
19:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወይኄይስ ፡ ባሕቱ ፡ አብድ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይፈርሆ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እምትጥበብ ፡ ወትክሐድ ፡ ሕጎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
Better is one that has small understanding, and fears, Than one that has much prudence, and transgresses the law.
見識不多卻心存敬畏的人，勝過精明過人卻違背律法的人。
19:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ሀለወ ፡ ዘይጠበብ ፡ ወይጠናቀቅ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይዔምፅ ፡ ወሀለወ ፡ ዘይመይጣ ፡ ለምክር ፡ ወያስተርኢ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያድሉ ፡ ለቢጹ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ያስተራትዕ ፡ ፍትሕ ፡ ለማኅፈሩ ።
There is an exquisite subtlety, and the same is unjust; And there is one that perverteth favor to gain a judgement.
有一種精巧的狡詐，乃是不義的；也有人扭曲恩惠，為要得著有利的判決。
19:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወቦ ፡ ዘያደሉ ፡ ለእኩይ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ኢይንእድ ፡ ወልቡሰ ፡ ምሉእ ፡ ጕሕሉት ።
There is one that does wickedly, that hangs down his head with mourning; But inwardly he is full of deceit,
有人行惡卻愁眉苦臉、屈身佯裝哀傷，內裡卻充滿詭詐。
19:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወቦ ፡ ዘያደሉ ፡ ለገጽ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ወእንተ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኢያሐዘብካ ፡ ይመጽአከ ።
Bowing down his face, and making as if he were deaf of one ear: Where he is not known, he will be beforehand with you.
他低垂著臉，假裝充耳不聞；在無人認識他的地方，他必先下手害你。
19:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእመኒ ፡ ደክመ ፡ ኀይሉ ፡ ወስእነ ፡ አሕሥሞ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ እንተ ፡ አመሰ ፡ ያስሕተከ ፡ ግብር ፡ ያሐመምከ ።
And if for lack of power he be hindered from sinning, If he find opportunity, he will do mischief.
他若因力量不足而被攔阻不能犯罪，一旦得了機會，必行惡事。
19:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ እምራእዩ ፡ ይትዐወቅ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወእምገጹ ፡ ይትዐወቅ ፡ ጠቢብ ።
A man will be known by his look, And one that has understanding will be known by his face, when you meet him.
人可從外貌被認出，有見識的人也可從相遇時的臉色被認出。
19:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእምልበሰቱ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ ወእምሑረቱ ፡ ወእምሠሐቁ ፡ ይትዐወቅ ፡ ግዕዙ ።
A man’s attire, and grinning laughter, And gait, show what he is.
人的衣著、開懷的笑、行走的步態，都顯露他是怎樣的人。
