9:1
ኢታቅንኣ ፡ ለብእሲተ ፡ ሕፅንከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትትመሀር ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ትምህርተ ፡ እኩየ ።
Be not jealous over the wife of your bosom, And teach her not an evil lesson against yourself.
不要嫉妒你懷中的妻子，免得你教給她惡毒的伎倆來害自己。
9:2
ኢትመጥዋ ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ነፍሰከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትትከየድ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኀይልከ ።
Give not your soul to a woman, That she should set her foot upon your strength.
不要把心交給女人，讓她踐踏你的力量。
9:3
ኢትሰሐጥ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትደቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መሥገርታ ።
Go not to meet a woman that playeth the harlot, Lest haply you fall into her snares.
不要去迎接行淫的女子，免得你落入她的網羅。
9:4
ወኢትዛዋዕ ፡ ምስለ ፡ መሰንቃዊት ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢታሥግርከ ፡ በማሕሌታ ።
Use not the company of a woman that is a singer, Lest haply you be caught by her attempts.
不要常與歌女為伴，免得你被她的伎倆所擒。
9:5
ኢትሰሐጣ ፡ ለድንግል ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢያስሕትከ ፡ ፈቃዳ ።
Gaze not on a maid, lest haply you be trapped in her penalties.
不要注視處女，免得你因她而受罰絆倒。
9:6
ኢትመጥዋ ፡ ለዘማ ፡ ነፍሰከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትህጐል ፡ ርስተከ ።
Give not your soul to harlots, That you lose not your inheritance.
不要把心交給娼妓，免得你喪失你的產業。
9:7
ወኢትኅሥሥ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍናዊሃ ፡ ለሀገር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢያስሕትከ ፡ ጽጐጕሃ ።
Look not round about you in the streets of the city, Neither wander you in the solitary places thereof.
不要在城中街道四處張望，也不要在偏僻之處遊蕩。
9:8
ሚጥ ፡ ዐይነከ ፡ እምነ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ሠናይት ፡ ወኢያፍቱከ ፡ ሥና ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ እለ ፡ ስሕቱ ፡ በሥነ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ወእንበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይነድድ ፡ ፍቅር ፡ ከመ ፡ እሳት ።
Turn away your eye from a comely woman, And gaze not on another’s beauty: By the beauty of a woman many have been led astray; And herewith love is kindled as a fire.
要轉眼不看美貌的女子，不要凝視別人的美色；許多人因女子的美貌而迷失，這樣的情慾如火般被點燃。
9:9
ኢትንበር ፡ ምስለ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወኢትሠገር ፡ ምስሌሃ ፡ በስታይ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትግምድ ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ መንገሌሃ ፡ ወኢታድኅፅ ፡ መንፈስከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሞት ።
Sit not at all with a woman that has a husband; And revel not with her at the wine; Lest haply your soul turn away to her, And with your spirit you slide into destruction.
絕不要與有夫之婦同坐，也不要與她飲酒作樂，免得你的心偏向她，使你的靈墮入滅亡。
9:10
ወኢትኅድግ ፡ ዐርክከ ፡ ዘትካት ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢይከውነከ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ዐርከ ፡ ግብት ፡ ዐርከ ፡ ሐዲስ ፡ ወይን ፡ ሐዲስ ፡ ወእመሰ ፡ ከረመ ፡ ትሰትዮ ፡ በትፍሥሕት ።
Forsake not an old friend; For the new is not comparable to him: As new wine, so is a new friend; If it become old, you will drink it with gladness.
不要捨棄舊友，因為新朋友比不上他；新朋友如同新酒，待它陳久了，你才能歡然暢飲。
9:11
ኢያቅንእከ ፡ ብዕሎሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢተአምር ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ይትገፈትኡ ።
Envy not the glory of a sinner; For you know not what will be his overthrow.
不要嫉妒罪人的榮耀，因為你不知道他的傾覆將要如何臨到。
9:12
ወኢያፍቱከ ፡ ተድላሆሙ ፡ ለረሲዓን ፡ ተዘከር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይጸድቁ ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ይመውቱ ።
Delight not in the delights of the ungodly: Remember they will not go unpunished to the grave.
不要喜悅不敬虔之人的喜悅，要記得他們直到陰間也難逃刑罰。
9:13
ረሐቅ ፡ ነዋኀ ፡ መካነ ፡ እምነ ፡ መኳንንት ፡ ዘነፍሰ ፡ ይኴንኑ ፡ ወኢይርከብከ ፡ ትሕዝብተ ፡ ሞት ፡ እመኒ ፡ ቀረብካሆሙ ፡ ኢትነስሕ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትግድፍ ፡ ሕይወትከ ፡ ወአእምር ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ መሥገርት ፡ ተኀልፍ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዘማእከለ ፡ ቀልቀል ፡ ታንሶሱ ።
Keep you far from the man that has power to kill, And you will have no suspicion of the fear of death: And if you come to him, commit no fault, Lest he take away your life: Know surely that you go about in the midst of snares, And walk upon the battlements of a city.
要遠離有權殺人的人，你就不必懼怕死亡的恐怖；你若就近他，就不可有過失，免得他奪去你的性命；要曉得你是行在網羅之中，行走在城牆的雉堞之上。
9:14
በአምጣነ ፡ ትክል ፡ አሠኒ ፡ ለቢጽከ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ ጠቢባን ፡ ተማከር ።
As well as you can, guess at your neighbors; And take counsel with the wise.
要盡你所能揣度你的鄰舍，並與智慧人商議。
9:15
ወምስለ ፡ ማእምራን ፡ ይኩን ፡ ትካዝከ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ነገርከ ፡ በሕገ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይኩንከ ።
Let your converse be with men of understanding; And let all your discourse be in the law of the Most High.
要與有見識的人交談，你一切的言談都要在至高者的律法中。
9:16
ወዕደው ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ የሀልዉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምሳሕከ ፡ ወበፍርሀተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይኩን ፡ ምሳሕከ ።
Let just men be the companions of your board; And let your glorying be in the fear of the Lord.
要讓義人作你同席的伴侶，你的誇耀要在於敬畏主。
9:17
ወበውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ ኬንያሁ ፡ ይትለማዕ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ወለመልአከ ፡ አሕዛብኒ ፡ ይንእድዎ ፡ በጥበበ ፡ ቃሉ ።
For the hand of the artificers a work will be commended: And he that rules the people will be counted wise for his speech.
工匠的手藝因工作而受稱讚，治理百姓的人因言語而顯為智慧。
9:18
ግሩም ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ነባቢ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ሀገሩ ፡ ወይጸልእዎ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቃሉ ።
A man full of tongue is dangerous in his city; And he that is headlong in his speech will be hated.
多言的人在城中令人懼怕，言語輕率的人必被人厭惡。
