6:1
ኩን ፡ ዐርከ ፡ እምትኩን ፡ ጸላዔ ፡ እስመ ፡ ደኃሪቱ ፡ ለስም ፡ እኩይ ፡ ኀሣር ፡ ወጽዕለት ፡ ወከማሁ ፡ ኃጥእኒ ፡ ዘክልኤ ፡ ልሳኑ ።
And instead of a friend become not an enemy; For an evil name will inherit shame and reproach: Even so will the sinner that has a double tongue.
不要從朋友變為仇敵；惡名要承受羞愧與辱罵，口是心非的罪人也是如此。
6:2
ወኢታዕቢ ፡ ርእሰከ ፡ በምክረ ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይምሥጥዋ ፡ ከመ ፡ ላህም ፡ ለነፍስከ ።
Exalt not yourself in the counsel of your soul; That your soul be not torn in pieces as a bull:
不要在你心靈的籌算中高抬自己，免得你的性命像公牛一樣被撕裂。
6:3
ወቈፅለከኒ ፡ ይበልዐከ ፡ ወተሀጕል ፡ ፍሬከ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ይቡስ ፡ የኀድገከ ።
You will eat up your leaves, and destroy your fruits, And leave yourself as a dry tree.
你要喫盡自己的葉子，毀掉自己的果子，使自己成為一棵枯乾的樹。
6:4
ነፍስ ፡ ጸዋግ ፡ ተሀጕሎ ፡ ለዘአጥረያ ፡ ወትሬስዮ ፡ ጥቡዐ ፡ ለጸላዒሁ ።
A wicked soul will destroy him that has gotten it, And will make him a laughing stock to his enemies.
邪惡的心靈必毀滅擁有它的人，使他成為仇敵譏笑的對象。
6:5
ልሳን ፡ ጥዑም ፡ ያበዝኅ ፡ ታአኃሁ ፡ ወአፍ ፡ ጥዑም ፡ ያበዝኅ ፡ ማኅፈሮ ።
Sweet words will multiply a man’s friends; And a fair-speaking tongue will multiply courtesies.
甘甜的言語使人增添朋友，善言的舌頭使人多得親切的問候。
6:6
ብዙኃን ፡ ይከውኑከ ፡ አዕርክተ ፡ ወአሐዱ ፡ እምእልፍ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ዘትትናገር ፡ ምክረከ ።
Let those that are at peace with you be many; But your counselors one of a thousand.
與你和睦相處的人可以眾多，但作你謀士的，千人中也只當有一個。
6:7
ወአመ ፡ ትትዐረክ ፡ ዐርከ ፡ ተዐረክ ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ተጽናስከ ፡ ወኢትትአመኖ ፡ ብዙኀ ።
If you would get you a friend, get him by proving, And be not in haste to trust him.
你若要結交朋友，就要在試煉中結交他，不要急於信任他。
6:8
እስመ ፡ ቦ ፡ ዐርክ ፡ ኀላፊ ፡ ወለኅዳጥ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወኢይትዔገሥ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ምንዳቤከ ።
For there is a friend that is so for his own occasion; And he will not continue in the day of your affliction.
因為有一種朋友只在順境時與你相好，到你患難之日卻不肯與你長久同在。
6:9
ቦ ፡ ዐርክ ፡ ይከውነከ ፡ ጸላዔ ፡ ወይዘረክየከ ፡ ወይከሥት ፡ ለከ ፡ ኅቡዓቲከ ።
And there is a friend that turns to enmity; And he will discover strife to your reproach.
也有一種朋友轉為仇敵，並要揭露爭端來羞辱你。
6:10
ወቦ ፡ ዐርክ ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ማዕድከ ፡ ይትዐረከከ ፡ ወውእቱኒ ፡ ኢይደሉ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወእም ፡ ከመ ፡ ተጸነስከ ፡ የኀድገከ ።
And there is a friend that is a companion at the table; And he will not continue in the day of your affliction.
還有一種朋友只是同席的伴侶，到你患難之日卻不肯與你長久同在。
6:11
ወአመ ፡ ትዴሎ ፡ ይከውን ፡ ከማከ ፡ ወይኴንን ፡ ነባሬከ ።
And in your prosperity he will be as yourself, And will be bold over your servants:
在你興盛時，他像你一樣自得，並向你的僕人放肆。
6:12
ወአመሰ ፡ ተጸነስከ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይከውነከ ፡ ዕድውከ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ኢትርአዮ ፡ ይትኀብዐከ ።
If you shall be brought low, he will be against you, And will hide himself from your face.
你若被貶低，他必與你為敵，並從你面前隱藏自己。
6:13
ተገሐሥከ ፡ እምጸላዕትከ ፡ ወተዐቀቦሙ ፡ ለአዕርክቲከ ።
Separate yourself from your enemies; And beware of your friends.
你要與仇敵分別，對朋友也要謹慎。
6:14
ዐርክ ፡ ምእመን ፡ ከመ ፡ ወልታ ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ ወዘረከበ ፡ ረከበ ፡ መዝገበ ።
A faithful friend is a strong defence; And he that has found him has found a treasure.
忠信的朋友是堅固的庇護，尋得他的人就尋得了寶藏。
6:15
ለዐርክ ፡ ምእመን ፡ አልቦቱ ፡ ተውላጥ ፡ ወለልሳኑሂ ፡ አልቦቱ ፡ መድሎት ።
There is nothing that can be taken in exchange for a faithful friend; And his excellency is beyond price.
忠信的朋友是無可交換的，他的美善無從衡量。
6:16
ዐርክ ፡ ምእመን ፡ ሥራየ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ወእለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይረክብዎ ።
A faithful friend is a medicine of life; And those who fear the Lord will find him.
忠信的朋友是生命的良藥，敬畏主的人必能尋得他。
6:17
ዘይፈርሆ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ያረትዕ ፡ ተአኃሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይከውኖ ፡ ቢጹሂ ።
He that fears the Lord directs his friendship aright; For as he is, so is his neighbor also.
敬畏主的人能正確地引導他的友誼，因為他怎樣為人，他的鄰舍也是如此。
6:18
ወልድየ ፡ እምንእስከ ፡ ኅረያ ፡ ለጥበብ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ትረሥዕ ፡ ትረክባ ።
My son, gather instruction from your youth up: And even to hoar hairs you will find wisdom.
孩子啊，從你年幼時就要採納教誨，直到髮白之日，你必尋得智慧。
6:19
ወፈር ፡ ኀቤሃ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘየሐርስ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዘይዘርዕ ፡ ወጽናሕ ፡ ፍሬሃ ፡ ቡሩክ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኅዳጠ ፡ ትፃሙ ፡ በቅኔሃ ፡ ወፍጡነ ፡ ትበልዕ ፡ ቅምሐ ።
Come to her as one that plows and sows, And wait for her good fruits; For your toil will be little in the tillage of her, And you will eat of her fruits right soon.
你要像耕田撒種的人一樣親近她，等候她美好的果子；因為你在耕耘她時只需稍稍勞苦，便很快能喫到她的出產。
6:20
ፈድፋደ ፡ መብዕስ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ በኀበ ፡ አብዳን ፡ ወበኀበ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ልብ ፡ ኢትጐንዲ ።
How exceeding harsh is she to the unlearned! And he that is without understanding will not abide in her.
她對無學識的人是何等的崎嶇難行，沒有見識的人不能在她裡面持守。
6:21
ከመ ፡ ዕብነ ፡ መከራ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ያነሥእዎ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ትከብድ ፡ ወፍጡነ ፡ ይገድፋ ።
As a mighty stone of trial will she rest upon him; And he will not delay to cast her from him.
她像一塊試煉的重石壓在他身上，他便毫不遲延地將她拋棄。
6:22
ጥበብሰ ፡ በከመ ፡ ስማ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ እለ ፡ የአምርዋ ።
For wisdom is according to her name; and she is not manifest to many.
因為智慧名實相符，她不向許多人顯明。
6:23
ስምዐኒ ፡ ወልድየ ፡ ወተዐገሥ ፡ በምክርየ ፡ ወኢታስትት ፡ ተግሣጽየ ።
Give ear, my son, and accept my judgement, And refuse not my counsel,
孩子啊，要側耳聽，接受我的見解，不要拒絕我的勸告。
6:24
አብእ ፡ እገሪከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አርዑታ ፡ ወዕንቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሣድከ ፡ ጋጋሃ ።
And bring your feet into her fetters, And your neck into her chain.
要把你的腳放入她的腳鐐，把你的頸項放入她的軛環。
6:25
አትሕት ፡ መታክፍቲከ ፡ ወተሰከማ ፡ ወኢትትቈጣዕ ፡ በመዋቅሕቲሃ ።
Put your shoulder under her, and bear her, And be not grieved with her bonds.
要俯下你的肩膀去擔負她，不要因她的束縛而厭煩。
6:26
ወበኵሉ ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ ፈር ፡ ኀቤሃ ፡ ወበኵሉ ፡ ኀይልከ ፡ ዕቀብ ፡ ፍናዊሃ ።
Come to her with all your soul, And keep her ways with your whole power.
要全心親近她，竭盡全力謹守她的道路。
6:27
ትሉ ፡ ዓሠራ ፡ ወኅሥሣ ፡ ወትረክባ ፡ አኀዛ ፡ ወኢትኅድጋ ።
Search, and seek, and she will be made known to you; And when you have got hold of her, let her not go.
你要尋訪查考，她必向你顯明；你既得著她，就不要放手。
6:28
ወበደኃሪትከ ፡ ትረክብ ፡ ዕረፍተ ፡ ወትፍሥሕተ ፡ ይከውነከ ።
For at the last you will find her rest; And she will be turned for you into gladness.
因為你終必尋得她的安息，她也必轉而成為你的喜樂。
6:29
ወመዋቅሕቲሃኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ወልታ ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ ይከውነከ ፡ ወጋጋሃኒ ፡ አልባሰ ፡ ክብር ፡ ይገብአከ ።
And her fetters will be to you for a covering of strength, And her chains for a robe of glory.
她的腳鐐必成為你力量的遮蔽，她的軛環必成為你榮耀的袍子。
6:30
እስመ ፡ ዘለዓለመ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ኀቤሃ ፡ ሀሎ ፡ ወመዓሥርቲሃኒ ፡ ሠርጐ ፡ ያክንት ፡ ይከውነከ ።
For there is a golden ornament upon her, And her bands are a riband of blue.
因為她身上有金的裝飾，她的束縛是紫藍的編帶。
6:31
ወከመ ፡ ልብሰ ፡ ክብር ፡ ትለብሳ ፡ ወአክሊለ ፡ ትፍሥሕት ፡ ታስተቈጽለከ ።
You shall put her on as a robe of glory, And shall array you with her as a crown of rejoicing.
你要把她當作榮耀的袍子穿上，當作歡騰的冠冕戴在頭上。
6:32
ለእመ ፡ ትፈቅድ ፡ ወልድየ ፡ ትጠበብ ፡ ወለእመ ፡ አጥባዕከ ፡ እምነፍስከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትመሀር ።
My son, if you will, you shall be instructed; And if you will yield your soul, you will be prudent.
孩子啊，你若願意，就必受教導；你若肯獻上心志，就必精明。
6:33
ወለእመ ፡ ትፈቱ ፡ ትስማዕ ፡ ተዐገሥ ፡ ወለእመ ፡ አጽማዕከ ፡ እዘኒከ ፡ ትስማዕ ፡ ጥበበ ።
If you love to hear, you will receive; And if you incline your ear, you will be wise.
你若喜愛聆聽，就必有所領受；你若側耳而聽，就必得智慧。
6:34
ኀበ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ አዕሩግ ፡ ቁም ፡ ወዘርኢከ ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ ትልዎ ።
Stand you in the multitude of the elders; And whoso is wise, cleave you to him.
你要站在眾長者之中，誰有智慧，就當親近他。
6:35
ወኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፡ አፍጥን ፡ ለሰሚዕ ፡ ወምሳሌ ፡ ጥበብኒ ፡ ኢይትረሣዕከ ።
Be willing to listen to every godly discourse; And don’t let the proverbs of understanding escape you.
凡屬神的教誨，你都要樂於聆聽，不要讓有見識的箴言從你溜走。
6:36
ወለእመኒ ፡ ርኢከ ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ ጊሥ ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ ወመድረከ ፡ ኆኅቱ ፡ ያንዛሕልል ፡ ሰኰናሁ ።
If you see a man of understanding, get you betimes to him, And let your foot wear out the steps of his doors.
你若見有見識的人，就當清早去就近他，讓你的腳踏破他門前的臺階。
6:37
ሐሊ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአንብብ ፡ መጻሕፍቲሁ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ያጸንዐከ ፡ ልበከ ፡ ወይሁበከ ፡ ታፍቅራ ፡ ለጥበብ ።
Let your mind dwell upon the ordinances of the Lord, And meditate continually in his commandments: He will establish your heart, And your desire of wisdom will be given to you.
你要默想主的律例，常常思想他的誡命；他必堅固你的心，並將你所渴慕的智慧賜給你。
