26:1
ለብእሲት ፡ ኄርት ፡ ያበጽዕ ፡ ምታ ፡ ወይትመክዐብ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሕይወቱ ።
Happy is the husband of a good wife; And the number of his days will be twofold.
有賢妻的丈夫是有福的，他的年日必加倍。
26:2
ብእሲት ፡ ዕብራዊት ፡ ታስተፌሥሖ ፡ ለምታ ፡ ወይፌጽም ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ በሰላም ።
A brave woman rejoices her husband; And he will fulfil his years in peace.
賢德的妻子使丈夫歡喜，他必在平安中度盡年歲。
26:3
ብእሱት ፡ ኄርት ፡ ሠናይ ፡ መክፈል [ት ]፡ ወ [ት ]በጽሖ ፡ ለፈራሄ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ መክፈልቱ ።
A good wife is a good portion: She will be given in the portion of such as fear the Lord.
賢妻是美好的分，必賜給敬畏主的人為分。
26:4
ለባዕልኒ ፡ ወለነዳይኒ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ይሠኒ ፡ ወለዝሉፉ ፡ ብሩሀ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ገጽከ ።
Whether a man be rich or poor, A good heart makes at all times a cheerful countenance.
人無論貧富，存美善之心便能時常面帶喜色。
26:5
እምእሉ ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ ደንገጸኒ ፡ ልብየ ፡ ወራብዕሰ ፡ አፍርሀኒ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ ማዕሌተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወእንግልጋ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወስምዐ ፡ ሐሰት ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ዘያበጽሕ ፡ ለሞት ።
Of three things my heart was afraid; And concerning the fourth kind I made supplication: The slander of a city, and the assembly of a multitude, and a false accusation: All these are more grievous than death.
有三樣事使我心懼怕，第四樣使我懇切祈求：城中的毀謗、羣眾的聚集、虛假的指控；這一切都比死更難當。
26:6
ቊስል ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ለልብ ፡ ወላሕ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ለነፍስ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ እንተ ፡ ታስተቃንእ ፡ ከመ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ ልሳን ፡ ትዔሪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ እኩይ ።
A grief of heart and sorrow is a woman that is jealous of another woman, And the scourge of a tongue communicating to all.
嫉妒別的女子的妻子，是心頭之痛與憂傷，又是向眾人傳布的舌頭之災。
26:7
ከመ ፡ አርዑተ ፡ ብዕራ ፡ ዘያንቀለቅል ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ እኪት ፡ ወዘይነብር ፡ ምስሌሃ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘይፀብጥ ፡ ዐቅረበ ።
A wicked woman is as a yoke of oxen shaken to and fro: He that takes hold of her is as one that graspeth a scorpion.
惡毒的妻子如同搖晃不定的牛軛，駕馭她的如同抓住蠍子的人。
26:8
ዐቢይ ፡ መንሱት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ሰካሪት ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢትክል ፡ ኀፍረታ ፡ ከዲነ ።
A drunken woman causes great wrath; And she will not cover her own shame.
醉酒的婦人惹起極大的忿怒，必不遮掩自己的羞恥。
26:9
ዝሙታ ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ይትዐወቅ ፡ እምአዕይንቲሃ ፡ ወይትአመር ፡ በቀራንብቲሃ ።
The whoredom of a woman is in the lifting up of her eyes; And it will be known by her eyelids.
婦人的淫蕩可從她高舉的眼目看出，也可從她的眼瞼辨明。
26:10
ወለወለትከኒ ፡ አጽንዓ ፡ ዐቂቦታ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሥኅተት ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢታማስን ፡ ርእሳ ።
Keep strict watch on a headstrong daughter, Lest she find liberty for herself, and use it.
對任性的女兒要嚴加看守，免得她一得放縱，便為自己濫用。
26:11
ወተዐቀብ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዐይነ ፡[መ ]ታሂ ፤ከመ ፡ ኢትግባእ ፡ ትነስሕ ፡ ለእመቦ ፡ ዘብእሰከ ።
Look well after an impudent eye; And marvel not if it trespass against you.
要慎防無恥的眼目，若她得罪你，也不要驚奇。
26:12
ከመ ፡ ይልሕስ ፡ ጽሙእ ፡ ወይሰቲ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ማይ ፡ ዘቀርበ ፡ ወያጸልል ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዕፀው ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዘያወጽእ ፡ አሕጻሁ ፡ እምጕንጳሁ ።
She will open her mouth, as a thirsty traveller, And drink of every water that is near: At every post will she sit down, And open her quiver against any arrow.
她必像口渴的旅人張口，喝盡近旁的各樣水；她在各橛子前坐下，向各樣箭打開箭袋。
26:13
ሞገሳ ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ያስተፌሥሖ ፡ ለምታ ፡ ወጥበቢሃ ፡ ያጠልሎ ፡ ለአዕፅምቲሁ ።
The grace of a wife will delight her husband; And her knowledge will fatten his bones.
妻子的恩惠使丈夫歡愉，她的學識使他骨頭強健。
26:14
ፍቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ብእሲት ፡ የዋህ ፡ ወአልባቲ ፡ መድሎተ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ጠባብ ።
A silent woman is a gift of the Lord; And there is nothing so much worth as a well-instructed soul.
沉靜的婦人是主所賜的，受過良好教養的心靈是無可比擬的。
26:15
ሠናይት ፡ በዲበ ፡ በረከት ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ኀፋሪት ፡ ወአልባቲ ፡ ተውላጠ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ መስተዓግሥት ።
A shamefast woman is grace upon grace; And there is no price worthy of a continent soul.
知羞的婦人是恩上加恩，自守的心靈是無價可衡量的。
26:16
ከመ ፡ ፀሓይ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ሰማዩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ላሕየ ፡ ሥና ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ኄርት ፡ በውስተ ፡ ትርሲተ ፡ ቤታ ።
As the sun when it arises in the highest places of the Lord, So is the beauty of a good wife in the ordering of a man’s house.
如同日頭升在主的高處，賢妻的美麗也照樣顯在她整齊的家中。
26:17
ከመ ፡ ማኅቶተ ፡ ቅድሳት ፡ እንተ ፡ ታበርህ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ተቅዋማ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ላሕየ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለጠቢብ ፡ በሥነ ፡ ግዕዙ ።
As the lamp that shineth upon the holy candlestick, So is the beauty of the face in ripe age.
如同明燈照在聖潔的燈臺上，盛年之時面容的美麗也是如此。
26:18
ከመ ፡ አዕማደ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ እለ ፡ ይቀውሙ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምክያደ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ከማሁ ፡ በአተ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ ለኄር ፡ ዘይቀውም ፡ በሠናይ ።
As the golden pillars are upon a base of silver, So are beautiful feet with the breasts of one that is stedfast.
如同金柱立在銀座之上，端莊之人的美足也是如此。
26:28
በእሉ ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ ተከዘኒ ፡ ልብየ ፡ ወራብዖሙሰ ፡ መዐተ ፡ አምጽአ ፡ ላዕሌየ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ መስተቃትል ፡(ወተባዕ ፡)ሶበ ፡ የኀጥእ ፡ ወይጼነስ ፡ ዕደው ፡ ጠቢባን ፡ ለእመ ፡ ስሕቱ ፡ ወዘየኀድጋ ፡ ለጽድቅ ፡ ወይገብእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኀጢአት ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ያወድቆ ፡ በኵናት ።
For two things my heart is grieved; And for the third anger comes upon me: A man of war that suffers for poverty; And men of understanding that are counted as refuse: One that turns back from righteousness to sin; The Lord will prepare him for the sword.
有兩樣事使我心憂愁，第三樣使我忿怒臨身：勇士因貧窮而落魄；有見識的人被當作糞土；又有人從義轉向罪——主必預備他歸於刀劍之下。
26:29
እምዕጹብ ፡ ይድኅን ፡ ሠያጢ ፡ እምኀጢአት ፡ ወኢይጸድቅ ፡ መያሲ ፡ እምዐምፆት ።
A merchant shall hardly keep himself from wrong doing; And a huckster will not be acquitted of sin.
商人難免犯錯誤，販子也難脫離罪。
