2:1
ወልድየ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሖርከ ፡ ትትቀነይ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አስተዳሉ ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ ለሕማም ።
My son, if you come to serve the Lord, Prepare your soul for temptation.
我兒，你若前來事奉主，就當預備你的魂迎接試煉。
2:2
ወአርትዕ ፡ ልበከ ፡ ወተዐገሥ ፡ ወኢትትወላወል ፡ ወለእመ ፡ ተመንደብከ ፡ ኢትናፍቅ ።
Set your heart aright, and constantly endure, And make not haste in time of calamity.
要端正你的心，堅忍不拔，在患難臨到之時不可慌張。
2:3
ዳእሙ ፡ ትልዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢትኅድጎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትብዛኅ ፡ ሕይወትከ ፡ በደኃሪትከ ።
Cleave to him, and depart not, That you may be increased at your latter end.
要緊緊依附祂，總不離開，使你在結局時得以興盛。
2:4
ወተወከፍ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እንተ ፡ በጽሐከ ፡ ወተዐገሥ ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ተጽናስከ ።
Accept whatever is brought upon you, And be longsuffering when you passest into humiliation.
凡臨到你身上的，都要領受；你陷入卑微之時，也要忍耐。
2:5
እስመ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ያሜክርዎ ፡ ለወርቅ ፡ ወለብእሲኒ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ በሕማመ ፡ ተጽናስ ፡ ያሜክርዎ ።
For gold is tried in the fire, And acceptable men in the furnace of humiliation.
因為金子在火中受煉，蒙悅納的人在卑微的爐中受試。
2:6
ተአመኖ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይረድአከ ፡ ወአርትዕ ፡ ፍናዊከ ፡ ወተወከል ፡ ቦቱ ።
Put your trust in him, and he will help you: Order your ways aright, and set your hope on him.
要信靠祂，祂必扶助你；要修直你的道路，把指望寄託在祂身上。
2:7
እለ ፡ ትፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ጽንሕዋ ፡ ለምሕረቱ ፡ ወኢትትገሐሡ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትደቁ ።
You⌃ that fear the Lord, wait for his mercy; And turn not aside, lest you⌃ fall.
你們敬畏主的人，當等候祂的憐憫，不可偏離，免得跌倒。
2:8
እለ ፡ ትፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተአመንዎ ፡ ወኢትሀጐሉ ፡ ዕሴተክሙ ።
You⌃ that fear the Lord, put your trust in him; And your reward will not fail.
你們敬畏主的人，當信靠祂，你們的賞賜必不落空。
2:9
እለ ፡ ትፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተሰፈውዋ ፡ ለሠናይቱ ፡ ወለትፍሥሕተ ፡ ምሕረቱ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
You⌃ that fear the Lord, hope for good things, And for eternal gladness and mercy.
你們敬畏主的人，當盼望美福、永遠的歡欣與憐憫。
2:10
ርእዩ ፡ ቀደምተ ፡ ዓለም ፡ ወአእምሩ ፡ መኑ ፡ ዘተአመነ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተኀፍረ ፡ ወመኑ ፡ ዘተዐገሠ ፡ በፈሪሆቱ ፡ ወገደፎ ፡ ወመኑ ፡ ጸውዖ ፡ ወተጸመሞ ።
Look at the generations of old, and see: Who did ever put his trust in the Lord, and was ashamed? Or who did abide in his fear, and was forsaken? Or who did call upon him, and he despised him?
你們當細想古時的世代：有誰信靠主而蒙羞？有誰持守敬畏祂的心而被撇棄？有誰呼求祂而被祂藐視？
2:11
እስመ ፡ መሓሪ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወመስተሣህል ፡ የኀድግ ፡ ኀጢአተ ፡ ወያድኅን ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ምንዳቤ ።
For the Lord is full of compassion and mercy; And he forgives sins, and saves in time of affliction.
因為主滿有憐恤與慈悲，赦免罪過，在患難之時施行拯救。
2:12
አሌ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ለልብ ፡ ዘይናፍቅ ፡ ወለዕደው ፡ ፀዋጋን ፡ ወለኃጥእ ፡ ዘክልኤ ፡ ግዕዙ ፡ ወምክዕቢተ ፡ የሐውር ።
Woe to fearful hearts, and to faint hands, And to the sinner that goes two ways!
那膽怯的心、發軟的手，以及腳踏兩路的罪人，有禍了！
2:13
አሌሎ ፡ ለልብ ፡ ዘይናፍቅ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢተአመነ ፡ ወእንበይነዝ ፡ ኢያመሥጥ ።
Woe to the faint heart! for it believes not; Therefore will it not be defended.
那發軟的心有禍了！因為它不信，所以必不蒙護庇。
2:14
አሌ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ሀጕሉ ፡ ዕሴቶሙ ፡ ወምንተ ፡ ይሬስዩ ፡ አመ ፡ ይትመየጦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Woe to you that have lost your patience! And what will you⌃ do when the Lord shall visit you?
你們這失去忍耐的人，有禍了！主鑒察你們的時候，你們將要怎麼辦呢？
2:15
እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢይረስዑ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ወእለ ፡ ያፈቅርዎ ፡ የዐቅቡ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ወፍናዊሁ ።
They that fear the Lord will not disobey his words; And those who love him will keep his ways.
敬畏主的人，必不違背祂的話；愛祂的人，必謹守祂的道。
2:16
እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ የኀሥሡ ፡ ፈቃዶ ፡ ወእለ ፡ ያፈቅርዎ ፡ ይትሬወዩ ፡ ሕጎ ።
They that fear the Lord will seek his good pleasure; And those who love him will be filled with the law.
敬畏主的人，必尋求祂所喜悅的；愛祂的人，必飽得祂的律法。
2:17
እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ያስተዳልዉ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ወየሐምምዋ ፡ ለነፍሶሙ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ።
They that fear the Lord will prepare their hearts, And will humble their souls in his sight,
敬畏主的人，必預備自己的心，在祂面前謙卑己魂。
2:18
ንደቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምንደቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ ዕጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እስመ ፡ በከመ ፡ ዕበዩ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ምሕረቱ ።
saying, We will fall into the hands of the Lord, And not into the hands of men: For as his majesty is, So also is his mercy.
他們說：「我們情願落在主的手中，不願落在人的手中；因為祂的憐憫，正如祂的威嚴一般廣大。」
