16:1
ወኢትፍቅድ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እለ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ በቊዐ ፡ ወኢትትፌሣሕ ፡ በእኩይ ፡ ውሉድ ።
Desire not a multitude of unprofitable children, Neither delight in ungodly sons.
不要貪求生養許多無用的兒女，也不要因不敬虔的兒子歡喜。
16:2
ወለእመኒ ፡ በዝኁ ፡ ኢትትፌሣሕ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ለእመ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ ፍርሀተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
If they multiply, delight not in them, Except the fear of the Lord be with them.
他們即便人數眾多，你也不要因他們歡喜，除非他們存有敬畏主的心。
16:3
ኢትትአመኖሙ ፡ በሕይወቶሙ ፡ ወኢያስተፌሥሕከ ፡ ብዝኆሙ ። ይኄይስ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምዐሠርቱ ፡ ምእት ፡ ወይኄይስ ፡ መዋቲ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ እምወሊደ ፡ እኩይ ።
Trust not you in their life, Neither rely on their condition: For one is better than a thousand; And to die childless than to have ungodly children.
不要倚仗他們的性命，也不要倚賴他們的眾多；因為一個勝過一千個，無兒而死也勝過有不敬虔的兒女。
16:4
እስመ ፡ በ፩ጠቢብ ፡ ትጸንዕ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወሕዝቦሙሰ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ይጠፍኡ ።
For from one that has understanding will a city be peopled; But a race of wicked men will be made desolate.
因為靠一個有見識的人，城邑便得以興旺；不法之徒的族類，卻必荒涼。
16:5
ብዙኀ ፡ ዘከመዝ ፡ ርእየት ፡ ዐይንየ ፡ ወዘየዐቢ ፡ እምዝ ፡ ሰምዐት ፡ እዝንየ ።
Many such things I have seen with my eyes; And my ear has heard mightier things than these.
這類的事我親眼見過許多，比這更大的事我也親耳聽過。
16:6
ውስተ ፡ ማኅበሮሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ትነድድ ፡ እሳት ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዐላዊያን ፡ ትነድድ ፡ መዐት ።
In the congregation of sinners will a fire be kindled; And in a disobedient nation wrath is kindled.
在罪人的集會中必有火燃起，在悖逆的國中忿怒必被點燃。
16:7
ወቀድምትኒ ፡ እለ ፡ ይርባሕ ፡ ኢያድኀኑ ፡ ነፍሶሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ተአመኑ ፡ በኀይሎሙ ።
He was not pacified toward the giants of old time, Who revolted in their strength.
他不曾向古時憑己力背叛的巨人施恩開恩。
16:8
ወኢመሐካ ፡ ለብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ነበረ ፡ ሎጥ ፡ እለ ፡ አዕበዩ ፡ ርእሶሙ ፡ ወአስቆረርዎ ፡ ለሎጥ ።
He spared not those with whom Lot sojourned, Whom he abhorred for their pride.
他不顧惜羅得所寄居之地的眾人，因他們的驕傲而憎惡他們。
16:9
ወኢተሣሀሎ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ እለ ፡ ተሠርዉ ፡ በኃጢአቶሙ ፤
He pitied not the people of perdition, Who were taken away in their sins.
他不憐憫那滅亡的民，就是在罪中被剪除的人。
16:10
ስሳ ፡ እልፍ ፡ አጋር ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ እለ ፡ ተጋብኡ ፡ ወአእከዩ ፡ ልቦሙ ።
And in like manner the six hundred thousand footmen, Who were gathered together in the hardness of their hearts.
照樣，那六十萬步兵，就是心裡剛硬聚集起來的人，也是如此。
16:11
ወእመኒ ፡ ቦ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ዘአግዘፈ ፡ ክሳዶ ፡ ወውእቱኒ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ለእመ ፡ ድኅነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሣህልኒ ፡ ወመቅሰፍትኒ ፡ እምኀቤሁ ፡ ወይክል ፡ ተሣህሎ ፡ ወይክል ፡ አምጽኦ ፡ መቅሠፍት ።
Even if there be one stiff-necked person, It is marvel if he will be unpunished: For mercy and wrath are with him; He is mighty to forgive, and he pours out wrath.
即便其中只有一個硬著頸項的人，他若能逃脫刑罰也是怪事；因為憐憫與忿怒都在乎主，他大有能力赦免，也傾倒忿怒。
16:12
በአምጣነ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ ምሕረቱ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ተግሣጹ ፡ ወይፈድዮ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ በከመ ፡ ምግባሩ ።
As his mercy is great, so is his correction also: He judges a man according to his works.
他的憐憫何等浩大，他的責罰也照樣浩大；他必按各人的行為審判他。
16:13
ወኢያመሥጥ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ እምነ ፡ ጻሕፍ ፡ ወኢየሀጕል ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ ዕሴተ ፡ ትዕግሥቱ ።
The sinner will not escape with his plunder; And the perseverance of the godly will not be frustrated.
罪人必不能帶著贓物逃脫，敬虔人的忍耐也必不落空。
16:14
ኵሉ ፡ ምጽዋተ ፡ ሣህለ ፡ ያመጽእ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ይረክብ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ግዕዙ ።
He will make room for every work of mercy; Each man will find according to his works.
他必為各樣憐憫的善行留有餘地，各人必照自己的行為得著報應。
16:17
ኢትበል ፡ ኣመሥጥ ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይረክበኒ ፡ በሰማያት ፡ ወበውስተ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘያአምረኒ ፡ ወምንትኑ ፡ ኈልቋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዓለም ።
Don’t say, I shall be hidden from the Lord; And who will remember me from on high? I will not be known among so many people; For what is my soul in a boundless creation?
不要說：『我可以躲避主，誰會從高處記念我？我在這許多人中必不被認出，在這無量的受造之物中，我的性命算得了什麼？』
16:18
ናሁ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወሰማይኒ ፡ ዘመልዕልተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወቀላይኒ ፡ ወምድርኒ ፡ ኵሉዝ ፡ ያድለቀልቅ ፡ እመከመ ፡ ሐወጾሙ ።
Behold, the heaven, and the heaven of heavens, The deep, and the earth, will be moved when he shall visit.
看哪，諸天與諸天之上的天、深淵與大地，當他鑒察時，都要震動。
16:19
ወአድባርኒ ፡ ወመሠረተ ፡ ምድርኒ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ነጸሮሙ ፡ ይርዕዱ ፡ ወያድለቀልቁ ።
The mountains and the foundations of the earth together Are shaken with trembling, when he looks upon them.
當他垂顧時，羣山與地的根基一同戰兢搖撼。
16:20
ወበዝኒ ፡ ኢይኄልዮ ፡ ልብ ፡ መኑ ፡ ይክል ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ፍናዊሁ ።
And no heart will think upon these things: And who shall conceive his ways?
然而人心不思想這些事，誰又能領悟他的道路呢？
16:21
ወዐውሎሂ ፡ ዘኢይሬኢ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ወዘይበዝኅ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ኅቡእ ፡ ውእቱ ።
And there is a tempest which no man will see; Yes, the more part of his works are hid.
還有人所不能見的風暴，他大部分的作為都隱藏在幽暗之中。
16:22
ግብረ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ መኑ ፡ ይሜህር ፡ ወመኑ ፡ ይጸንሕ ፡ ተስፋሐ ፡ ለምሕረቱ ።
Who will declare the works of his righteousness? Or who will endure them? For his covenant is afar off.
他公義的作為，誰能述說？誰又能承受？因為這約離我們甚遠。
16:23
ሕጹጸ ፡ ልብ ፡ ያኄሊ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ አብድ ፡ ወጊጉይ ፡ ይኄሊ ፡ እበደ ።
He that is lacking in understanding thinks upon these things; And an unwise and erring man thinks follies.
心智短少的人思想這些事，愚昧迷失的人思想的盡是糊塗。
16:24
ስምዐኒ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ወተመሀር ፡ ጥበበ ፡ ወአፅምእ ፡ እምልብከ ፡ ለነገር ።
My son, hearken to me, and learn knowledge, And give heed to my words with your heart.
孩子啊，要聽我，學習知識，留心我的話放在你心上。
16:25
አርእያ ፡ ለጥበብከ ፡ ደሊወከ ፡ በመዳልው ፡ ወጠይቅ ፡ ነገራ ፡ ለትምህርትከ ።
I will show forth instruction by weight, And declare knowledge exactly.
我要按準則指示教誨，精確地宣告知識。
16:26
ግብሩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተፈጥረ ፡ በኵነኔሁ ፡ ወፈሊጦሙ ፡ ሥርዐቶሙ ፡ በበ ፡ በሓውርቲሆሙ ።
In the judgement of the Lord are his works from the beginning; And from the making of them he disposed the parts thereof.
主的作為從起初就照他的判斷而行，從他造作之時，就分定了它們各自的本分。
16:27
ወሠርዐ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ግብሮ ፡ በዘይቀውም ፡ ዓለም ፡ ወአሕዛቢሆሙ ፡ በበፍጥረቶሙ ፡ ዘኢይጸምእ ፡ ወዘኢይርኅብ ፡ ወዘኢየኀልቅ ፡ ግብሮሙ ።
He garnished his works forever, And the beginnings of them to their generations: They neither hunger, nor are weary, And they cease not from their works.
他永遠地裝飾了他的作為，使它們的起頭世代相傳；它們既不飢餓，也不疲乏，從不停止它們的工作。
16:28
ወኢይጠወቅ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ካልኡ ፡ ወለዓለም ፡ ኢይትገሐሡ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቃሉ ።
No one thrusteth aside his neighbor; And they will never disobey his word.
它們彼此不相壓迫，永不違揹他的話語。
16:29
ወእምዝ ፡ ነጸረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወአጽገባ ፡ እምነ ፡ (ኵሉ )፡ በረከቱ ።
After this also the Lord looked upon the earth, And filled it with his blessings.
此後主又垂顧大地，將他的美物充滿其上。
16:30
መንፈሰ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘሕያው ፡ መልአ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ምግባኢሆሙ ።
All manner of living things covered the face thereof; And into it is their return.
他以各樣活物遮蓋地面，它們也都要歸回於地。
