21:1
ወልድየ ፡ ለእመቦ ፡ ዘአበስከ ፡(ወተስሕትከ ፡)፡ ኢትድግም ፡ ዑቅ ፡ እንከ ፡ ወተጋነይ ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ዘቅድም ፡ ጌጋይከ ።
My son, have you sinned? add no more thereto; And make supplication for your former sins.
孩子啊,你犯了罪嗎?不要再犯,並要為你從前的罪祈求。
21:2
ወከመ ፡ ዘይጐይይ ፡ እምአርዌ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ጕየይ ፡ እምኀጢአት ፡ ወእመሰ ፡ አድምዐተከ ፡ ኢታወጽአከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ስነነ ፡ ዐንበሳ ፡ ስነኒሃ ፡ ወታኀልቅ ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።
Flee from sin as from the face of a serpent; For if you draw near it will bite you: The teeth thereof are the teeth of a lion, Slaying the souls of men.
要逃避罪惡,如同逃避蛇面;你若就近它,它必咬你;它的牙如獅子的牙,能殺滅人的性命。
21:3
ከመ ፡ መላጼ ፡ በሊኅ ፡ ዘክልኤ ፡ አፉሁ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ኀጢአት ፡ ወኀበኒ ፡ አቊሰለት ፡ አልባቲ ፡ ፈውስ ፡ ቊስላ ።
All iniquity is as a two-edged sword; Its stroke has no healing.
一切不法之事都像兩刃的刀,它所造成的傷無從醫治。
21:4
ትዝኅርት ፡(ወምክሕ ፡)፡ ወትዕቢት ፡ ያማስኖ ፡ ለባዕል ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይማስን ፡ ቤቶሙ ፡ ለዕቡያን ።
Terror and violence will lay waste riches; So the house of a haughty man will be laid waste.
恐嚇與暴行必使財富化為烏有,照樣,狂傲人的家也必荒涼。
21:5
ሶበ ፡ ይስእል ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ያበቁ ፡ እስከ ፡ እዘኒሁ ፡ ወገዓሩኒ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ ይበጽሕ ።
Supplication from a poor man’s mouth reaches to the ears of God, And his judgement comes speedily.
窮人口中的祈求達到主的耳中,他所受的伸冤也必迅速臨到。
21:6
ዘይጸልእ ፡ ተግሣጸ ፡ ተለዎሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ወዘሰ ፡ ይፈርህ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምከመ ፡ ገሠጽዎ ፡ ይመይጥ ፡ ልቦ ።
One that hates reproof is in the path of the sinner; And he that fears the Lord will turn again in his heart.
厭惡責備的人行在罪人的路上,敬畏主的人卻必心裡回轉。
21:7
ይትዐወቅ ፡ እምርሑቅ ፡ ዘይክል ፡ ነቢበ ፡ ወለጠቢብሰ ፡ ይትዐወቆ ፡ ዘተስሕቶ ።
He that is mighty in tongue is known afar off: But the man of understanding knows when he slips.
口才便給的人遠近皆知,有見識的人卻知道何時當謹慎自己的失足。
21:8
ዘየሐንጽ ፡ ቤቶ ፡ በንዋየ ፡ ልቃሕ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንድቀ ፡ ክረምት ፡ ሕንጻሁ ።
He that builds his house with other men’s money Is like one that gathers himself stones against winter.
用別人錢財建造房屋的人,如同積聚石頭預備自己的墳墓。
21:9
ከመ ፡ ከምረ ፡ ሐሠር ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ማኅበሮሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ወደኃሪቶሙ ፡ ለነደ ፡ እሳት ፡ ይከውኑ ።
The congregation of wicked men is as tow wrapped together; And the end of them is a flame of fire.
不法之徒的聚集如同纏在一起的麻屑,他們的結局乃是火焰。
21:10
መብእስ ፡ እበኒሃ ፡ ለፍኖተ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ ወጸድፍ ፡ ሙፃእታ ።
The way of sinners is made smooth with stones; And at the last end thereof is the pit of Hades.
罪人的道路用石頭鋪得平坦,其盡頭卻是陰間的深坑。
21:11
ዘአጽንዐ ፡ ልቦ ፡ የዐቅብ ፡ ሕገ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወደኃሪሃ ፡ ለፍርሀተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጥበበ ።
He that keeps the law becomes master of the intent thereof; And the end of the fear of the Lord is wisdom.
遵守律法的人能掌握律法的本意,敬畏主的盡頭就是智慧。
21:12
ወኢይጠብብ ፡ ዘኢተመ [የነ ]፤ሀለወ ፡ ዘይትሜ [የን ]፤ወይትዌሰኮ ፡ ኀሳሩ ።
He that is not clever will not be instructed; And there is a cleverness which makes bitterness to abound.
不精明的人不能受教,但也有一種精明使苦毒增多。
21:13
ኅሊናሁ ፡ ለጠቢብ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማየ ፡ አይኅ ፡ ወምክሩኒ ፡ ይነቅዕ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማየ ፡ ሕይወት ።
The knowledge of a wise man will be made to abound as a flood; And his counsel as a fountain of life.
智慧人的知識必如洪水漲溢,他的謀略如同生命的泉源。
21:14
ልቡ ፡ ለአብድ ፡ ከመ ፡ ጻሕብ ፡ ስቁር ፡ ወኢይክል ፡ ዐቂበ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ዘሰምዐ ።
The inward parts of a fool are like a broken vessel; And he will hold no knowledge.
愚人的內裡如同破裂的器皿,必不能存留任何知識。
21:15
ነገረ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ ለባዊ ፡ ይንእዶ ፡ ወይዌስክ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ በዲቤሁ ፡ ወእኩይሰ ፡ ልብ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ሰምዖ ፡ ይቀይእ ፡ ወያገብኦ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ ዘባኑ ።
If a man of knowledge hear a wise word, He will commend it, and add to it: The dissolute man hears it, and it displeases him, And he puts it away behind his back.
有見識的人聽見智慧之言,便稱讚它,並有所增益;放縱的人聽了卻不喜悅,便把它丟在背後。
21:16
ነገሩ ፡ ለአብድ ፡ ከመ ፡ ጾር ፡(ክቡድ ፡)፡ በውስተ ፡ ፍኖት ፡(ርሑቅ )፤ወሠናይ ፡ ሞገሶን ፡ ለከናፍረ ፡ ጠቢብ ።
The discourse of a fool is like a burden in the way; But grace will be found on the lips of the wise.
愚人的言談如同路上的重擔,智慧人的嘴脣卻顯出恩惠。
21:17
ቃለ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ይሰማዕ ፡ በውስተ ፡ እንግልጋ ፡ ወነገሩሂ ፡ ይበውእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልብ ።
The mouth of the prudent man will be sought for in the congregation; And they will ponder his words in their heart.
明智人的口在會眾中為人所求,眾人也必把他的話放在心裡思想。
21:18
ከመ ፡ ቤተ ፡ መዝብር ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ በኀበ ፡ አብዳን ፡ ወምክሩሰ ፡ ለአብድ ፡ ዘኢይትፈቀድ ፡ ነገረ ።
As a house that is destroyed, so is wisdom to a fool; And the knowledge of an unwise man is as talk without sense.
如同毀壞的房屋,智慧對愚人也是如此;無知者的知識不過是無意義的言語。
21:19
ከመ ፡ እግር ፡ ሙቁሕ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ት [ም ]ህርቶሙ ፡ ለአብዳን ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዘእሱር ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ዘየማን ፡(ከማሁ ፡ ፅቡስ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ለአብድ ። )
Instruction is as fetters on the feet of an unwise man, And as manacles on the right hand.
訓誨對無知的人如同腳上的鐐銬,又如右手上的手銬。
21:20
ሶበ ፡ ይሥሕቅ ፡ አብድ ፡ ያዐቢ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ወጠቢብሰ ፡ እምዕጹብ ፡ ያክሞስስ ፡ ከናፍሪሁ ።
A fool lifts up his voice with laughter; But a clever man will scarce smile quietly.
愚人縱聲大笑,精明的人卻只是悄然微笑。
21:21
ከመ ፡ ሰርጎ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ለባዊ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ድጕልማ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ የማን ።
Instruction is to a prudent man as an ornament of gold, And as a bracelet upon his right arm.
訓誨對明智人如同金的裝飾,又如右臂上的鐲子。
21:22
እግሩ ፡ ለአብድ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ ትገብእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤት ፡ ወብእሲሰ ፡ ዘበኵሉ ፡ ተጐድአ ፡ የኀፍር ፡ ገጾ ።
The foot of a fool is soon in another man’s house; But a man of experience will be ashamed of entering.
愚人的腳貿然踏入別人的家,閱歷豐富的人卻以此為羞。
21:23
ወአብድሰ ፡ እምኆኅት ፡ ይሔውጽ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ወብእሲሰ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ አፍአ ፡ ይቀውም ።
A foolish man peepeth in from the door of another man’s house; But a man that is instructed will stand without.
愚妄人從門口窺探別人的家,受過教導的人卻站在門外。
21:24
እበዲሁ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ እምአፍአ ፡ ትስማዕ ፡ ወበኀበ ፡ ጠቢብሰ ፡ ዕጹብ ፡ አስተሐቅሮ ።
It is a lack of instruction in a man to listen at the door; But the prudent man will be grieved with the disgrace.
在門口偷聽是人缺乏教養的表現,明智人卻以這羞辱為苦。
21:25
ወበኀበ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ዕጹብ ፡ ዝነገር ፡ ቃሎሙ ፡ ለጠቢባን ፡ ድሉት ፡ በመዳልው ።
The lips of strangers will be grieved at these things; But the words of prudent men will be weighed in the balance.
外人的嘴脣只談論這些事,明智人的言語卻要放在天平上稱量。
21:26
ወለአብዳንሰ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፉሆሙ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ወምክሮሙ ፡ ለጠቢባን ፡ ቃለ ፡ አፉሆሙ ።
The heart of fools is in their mouth; But the mouth of wise men is their heart.
愚人的心在他口中,智慧人的口卻在他心中。
21:27
ሶበ ፡ ይረግሞ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ለጋኔን ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ እንቲአሁ ፡ ይረግም ።
When the ungodly curses Satan, He curses his own soul.
不敬虔的人咒詛撒但時,其實是在咒詛自己的心靈。
21:28
ወዘየሐሚ ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ ነፍሶ ፡ ይጌምን ፡ ወያጸልእ ፡ ርእሶ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ኀደረ ።
A whisperer defiles his own soul, And will be hated wherever he sojourneth.
搬弄是非的人玷污自己的心靈,無論寄居何處都被人憎恨。
