וַ֠תֹּ֠אמֶר אֶמְצָא־חֵ֨ן בְּעֵינֶ֤יךָ אֲדֹנִי֙ כִּ֣י נִֽחַמְתָּ֔נִי וְכִ֥י דִבַּ֖רְתָּ עַל־לֵ֣ב שִׁפְחָתֶ֑ךָ וְאָֽנֹכִי֙ לֹ֣א אֶהְיֶ֔ה כְּאַחַ֖ת שִׁפְחֹתֶֽיךָ׃
路得說：「我主啊，願在你眼前蒙恩。我雖然不及你的一個使女，你還用慈愛的話安慰我的心。」
Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not as one of your servants.”
אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁמַ֗רְתָּ לְעַבְדְּךָ֙ דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֔י אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ ל֑וֹ וַתְּדַבֵּ֥ר בְּפִ֛יךָ וּבְיָדְךָ֥ מִלֵּ֖אתָ כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
「耶和華－以色列的上帝啊，天上地下沒有神可比你的！你向那盡心行在你面前的僕人守約施慈愛；
and he said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keeps covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;
וַֽ֠יַּעֲנ֠וּ בְּהַלֵּ֨ל וּבְהוֹדֹ֤ת לַֽיהֹוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּֽי־לְעוֹלָ֥ם חַסְדּ֖וֹ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְכׇל־הָעָ֡ם הֵרִ֩יעוּ֩ תְרוּעָ֨ה גְדוֹלָ֤ה בְהַלֵּל֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה עַ֖ל הוּסַ֥ד בֵּית־יְהֹוָֽה׃
他們彼此唱和，讚美稱謝耶和華說： 他本為善， 他向以色列人永發慈愛。 他們讚美耶和華的時候，眾民大聲呼喊，因耶和華殿的根基已經立定。
They sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to Yahweh, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Israel.” All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Yahweh, because the foundation of Yahweh’s house had been laid.
חַֽסְדֵ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ כִּ֣י לֹא־תָ֔מְנוּ כִּ֥י לֹא־כָל֖וּ רַחֲמָֽיו׃ {ס}
我們不致消滅， 是出於耶和華諸般的慈愛； 是因他的憐憫不致斷絕。
It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail.
כִּ֣י אִם־הוֹגָ֔ה וְרִחַ֖ם כְּרֹ֥ב חֲסָדָֽיו׃ {ס}
主雖使人憂愁， 還要照他諸般的慈愛發憐憫。
For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
וָֽאֶתְפַּֽלְלָ֛ה לַיהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהַ֖י וָאֶתְוַדֶּ֑ה וָאֹֽמְרָ֗ה אָנָּ֤א אֲדֹנָי֙ הָאֵ֤ל הַגָּדוֹל֙ וְהַנּוֹרָ֔א שֹׁמֵ֤ר הַבְּרִית֙ וְֽהַחֶ֔סֶד לְאֹהֲבָ֖יו וּלְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י מִצְוֺתָֽיו׃
我向耶和華－我的上帝祈禱、認罪，說：「主啊，大而可畏的上帝，向愛主、守主誡命的人守約施慈愛。
I prayed to Yahweh my God, and made confession, and said, “Oh, Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,
וְקִרְע֤וּ לְבַבְכֶם֙ וְאַל־בִּגְדֵיכֶ֔ם וְשׁ֖וּבוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם כִּֽי־חַנּ֤וּן וְרַחוּם֙ ה֔וּא אֶ֤רֶךְ אַפַּ֙יִם֙ וְרַב־חֶ֔סֶד וְנִחָ֖ם עַל־הָרָעָֽה׃
你們要撕裂心腸， 不撕裂衣服。 歸向耶和華－你們的上帝； 因為他有恩典，有憐憫， 不輕易發怒， 有豐盛的慈愛， 並且後悔不降所說的災。
Tear your heart and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.
וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֨ל אֶל־יְהֹוָ֜ה וַיֹּאמַ֗ר אָנָּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ הֲלוֹא־זֶ֣ה דְבָרִ֗י עַד־הֱיוֹתִי֙ עַל־אַדְמָתִ֔י עַל־כֵּ֥ן קִדַּ֖מְתִּי לִבְרֹ֣חַ תַּרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה כִּ֣י יָדַ֗עְתִּי כִּ֤י אַתָּה֙ אֵֽל־חַנּ֣וּן וְרַח֔וּם אֶ֤רֶךְ אַפַּ֙יִם֙ וְרַב־חֶ֔סֶד וְנִחָ֖ם עַל־הָרָעָֽה׃
就禱告耶和華說：「耶和華啊，我在本國的時候豈不是這樣說嗎？我知道你是有恩典、有憐憫的上帝，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且後悔不降所說的災，所以我急速逃往他施去。
He prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Please, Yahweh, wasn’t this what I said when I was still in my own country? Therefore I hurried to flee to Tarshish, for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and you relent of doing harm.
תִּתֵּ֤ן אֱמֶת֙ לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב חֶ֖סֶד לְאַבְרָהָ֑ם אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתָּ לַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ מִ֥ימֵי קֶֽדֶם׃
你必按古時起誓應許我們列祖的話， 向雅各發誠實， 向亞伯拉罕施慈愛。
You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת לֵאמֹ֑ר מִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֱמֶת֙ שְׁפֹ֔טוּ וְחֶ֣סֶד וְרַֽחֲמִ֔ים עֲשׂ֖וּ אִ֥ישׁ אֶת־אָחִֽיו׃
「萬軍之耶和華曾對你們的列祖如此說：『要按至理判斷，各人以慈愛憐憫弟兄。
“Thus has Yahweh of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother.
ἡ δὲ εἶπεν εὕροιμι χάριν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς σου κύριε ὅτι παρεκάλεσάς με καὶ ὅτι ἐλάλησας ἐπὶ καρδίαν τῆς δούλης σου καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι ὡς μία τῶν παιδισκῶν σου
路得說：「我主啊，願在你眼前蒙恩。我雖然不及你的一個使女，你還用慈愛的話安慰我的心。」

καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν ἐν αἴνῳ καὶ ἀνθομολογήσει τῷ κυρίῳ ὅτι ἀγαθόν ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἐσήμαινον φωνὴν μεγάλην αἰνεῖν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ θεμελιώσει οἴκου κυρίου

καὶ διαρρήξατε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν καὶ μὴ τὰ ἱμάτια ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπιστράφητε πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν ὅτι ἐλεήμων καὶ οἰκτίρμων ἐστίν μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος καὶ μετανοῶν ἐπὶ ταῖς κακίαις

καὶ προσεύξατο πρὸς κύριον καὶ εἶπεν ὦ κύριε οὐχ οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι μου ἔτι ὄντος μου ἐν τῇ γῇ μου διὰ τοῦτο προέφθασα τοῦ φυγεῖν εἰς Θαρσις διότι ἔγνων ὅτι σὺ ἐλεήμων καὶ οἰκτίρμων μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος καὶ μετανοῶν ἐπὶ ταῖς κακίαις
就禱告耶和華說：「耶和華啊，我在本國的時候豈不是這樣說嗎？我知道你是有恩典、有憐憫的上帝，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且後悔不降所說的災，所以我急速逃往他施去。
He prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Please, Yahweh, wasn’t this what I said when I was still in my own country? Therefore I hurried to flee to Tarshish, for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and you relent of doing harm.
δώσεις ἀλήθειαν τῷ Ιακωβ ἔλεον τῷ Αβρααμ καθότι ὤμοσας τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς ἔμπροσθεν

δίκαιος εἶ κύριε καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ὁδοί σου ἐλεημοσύναι καὶ ἀλήθεια καὶ κρίσιν ἀληθινὴν καὶ δικαίαν σὺ κρίνεις εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα δίκαιος εἶ κύριε καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου δίκαια καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ὁδοί σου ἐλεημοσύνη καὶ ἀλήθεια σὺ κρίνεις τὸν αἰῶνα
「主啊，你是公義的，你一切的作為、你一切的道路都是慈愛與真實；你的審判公正真實，直到永遠。
“O Lord, you are righteous, and all your works and all your ways are mercy and truth, and you judge true and righteous judgement forever.
εἰ ἔστιν ἐπὶ γλώσσης αὐτῆς ἔλεος καὶ πραΰτης οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτῆς καθ’ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων
她舌頭上若有慈愛與溫柔，她的丈夫就不同於一般世人了。
If there is on her tongue mercy and meekness, Her husband is not like the sons of men.
ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ὅτι χρηστός ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ὅτι χρηστός ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ
你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存。
O all ye beasts and cattle, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
εὐλογεῖτε πάντες οἱ σεβόμενοι τὸν θεὸν τῶν θεῶν ὑμνεῖτε καὶ ἐξομολογεῖσθε ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τῶν αἰώνων εὐλογεῖτε πάντες οἱ σεβόμενοι τὸν κύριον τὸν θεὸν τῶν θεῶν ὑμνεῖτε καὶ ἐξομολογεῖσθε ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ
一切敬畏萬神之神的人哪，你們都要稱頌他，歌頌、稱謝他，因他的慈愛永遠長存，直到永永遠遠。」
O ye children of men, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
καὶ ἐπιστραφέντες ὕμνουν καὶ εὐλόγουν εἰς οὐρανὸν ὅτι καλόν ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ
他們回去時歌唱，向天頌讚，因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存。
And they returned home, and sang a song of thanksgiving, and gave praise to heaven; because his mercy is good, because his mercy endures forever.
πασῶν δὲ τῶν μητέρων ἐγένετο ἡ τῶν ἑπτὰ παίδων μήτηρ φιλοτεκνοτέρα ἥτις ἑπτὰ κυοφορίαις τὴν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐπιφυτευομένη φιλοστοργίαν
在眾母親中，這七個孩子的母親最是疼愛子女；她在七次懷胎中對他們深植了慈愛，
And of all mothers the mother of the seven was the fondest of children, who in seven childbirths had deeply engendered love toward them;
οὐ μὴν δὲ ἀλλὰ καὶ διὰ τὴν καλοκἀγαθίαν τῶν υἱῶν καὶ τὴν πρὸς τὸν νόμον αὐτῶν εὐπείθειαν μείζω τὴν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἔσχεν φιλοστοργίαν
不僅如此，更因兒子們高尚的德行與他們對律法的順從，她對他們的慈愛反倒越發增加。
Not but that, on account of the excellent disposition to the law, her maternal affection toward them was increased.
ὦ φύσις ἱερὰ καὶ φίλτρα γονέων καὶ γένεσι φιλόστοργε καὶ τροφεία καὶ μητέρων ἀδάμαστα πάθη
哦，這聖潔的天性、父母的慈愛、生育之愛、養育之情，以及母親那不可制伏的情懷啊！
O holy nature and parental feeling, and reward of bringing up children, and unconquerable maternal affection!
ἀλλὰ τὰ σπλάγχνα αὐτῆς ὁ εὐσεβὴς λογισμὸς ἐν αὐτοῖς τοῖς πάθεσιν ἀνδρειώσας ἐπέτεινεν τὴν πρόσκαιρον φιλοτεκνίαν παριδεῖν
然而敬虔的理性在這一切苦難中堅固了她的勇氣，使她甘心暫時撇下對子女的慈愛。
But religious reasoning, having strengthened her courage in the midst of sufferings, enabled her to forego, for the time, parental love.
τί θέλετε; ἐν ῥάβδῳ ἔλθω πρὸς ὑμᾶς, ἢ ἐν ἀγάπῃ πνεύματί τε πραΰτητος;
你們願意怎麼樣呢？是願意我帶着刑杖到你們那裏去呢？還是要我存慈愛溫柔的心呢？
What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
ἡ ἀγάπη μακροθυμεῖ, χρηστεύεται ἡ ἀγάπη, οὐ ζηλοῖ, ἡ ἀγάπη οὐ περπερεύεται, οὐ φυσιοῦται,
愛是恆久忍耐，又有恩慈；愛是不嫉妒；愛是不自誇，不張狂，
Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,
ὅτε δὲ ἡ χρηστότης καὶ ἡ φιλανθρωπία ἐπεφάνη τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν θεοῦ,
但到了上帝－我們救主的恩慈和他向人所施的慈愛顯明的時候，
But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,
Ἴδετε ποταπὴν ἀγάπην δέδωκεν ἡμῖν ὁ πατὴρ ἵνα τέκνα θεοῦ κληθῶμεν· καὶ ἐσμέν. διὰ τοῦτο ὁ κόσμος οὐ γινώσκει ἡμᾶς ὅτι οὐκ ἔγνω αὐτόν.
你看父賜給我們是何等的慈愛，使我們得稱為上帝的兒女；我們也真是他的兒女。世人所以不認識我們，是因未曾認識他。
See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
ἔλεος ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ ἀγάπη πληθυνθείη.
願憐恤、平安、慈愛多多地加給你們。
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
δίκαιος εἶ κύριε καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ὁδοί σου ἐλεημοσύναι καὶ ἀλήθεια καὶ κρίσιν ἀληθινὴν καὶ δικαίαν σὺ κρίνεις εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα δίκαιος εἶ κύριε καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου δίκαια καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ὁδοί σου ἐλεημοσύνη καὶ ἀλήθεια σὺ κρίνεις τὸν αἰῶνα
「主啊，你是公義的，你一切的作為、你一切的道路都是慈愛與真實；你的審判公正真實，直到永遠。
“O Lord, you are righteous, and all your works and all your ways are mercy and truth, and you judge true and righteous judgement forever.
ሐይውኒ፡ ወመዊትኒ።
智慧、訓誨與律法的知識都在於神，慈愛與善人的道路也都在於他。
Wisdom and discipline and the knowledge of the law are with God; love and the ways of the good are with him.
εἰ ἔστιν ἐπὶ γλώσσης αὐτῆς ἔλεος καὶ πραΰτης οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτῆς καθ’ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων
她舌頭上若有慈愛與溫柔，她的丈夫就不同於一般世人了。

ወበእማንቱ፡ መዋዕል፡ ኮነ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኀቤየ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ ኖኅ፡ ናሁ፡ ክፍልከ፡ ዐርገ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ክፍል፡ ዘአልቦቱ፡ ኂስ፡ ክፍለ፡ ፍቅር፡ ወርትዕ።
當那些日子，神的話臨到我，對我說：「挪亞啊，看哪，你的份已上達於我，是無可指摘的份，是慈愛與正直的份。
And in those days the word of God came unto me, and He said unto me: ‘Noah, thy lot has come up before Me, a lot without blame, a lot of love and uprightness.
፡ ወአኅለቀ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይኤዝዞ ፡ ወይባርኮ ፡ 26 ወሰከቡ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐራት ፡ አሐቲ ፡ ወኖመ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕፅነ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ አበ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ወሰዐሞ ፡ ስብዐ ፡ ወተፈሥሐ ፡ ምሕረቱ ፡ ወልቡ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ 27 ወባረኮ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ወይቤ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ልዑል ፡ አምላከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ወፈጣሬ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘአውፅአኒ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኡር ፡ ዘከለዳዊያን ፡ ከመ ፡ የሀበኒ ፡ ዛተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እረሳ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወከመ ፡ አቅም ፡ ዘርአ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትባረክ ፡ ለዓለም ።
他吩咐並祝福雅各的話說完了。他們二人同睡在一張牀上，雅各就睡在他祖父亞伯拉罕的懷中；亞伯拉罕與他親嘴七次，他的慈愛和心都因雅各而歡喜。他全心給雅各祝福，說：「至高的神，萬有的神和萬有的創造者，就是領我出迦勒底吾珥的那位，要把這地賜給我永遠承受，又堅立聖潔的後裔，使其永遠蒙福。」
And he ceased commanding 4 him and blessing him. 26: And the two lay together on one bed, and Jacob slept in the bosom of Abraham, his father's father and he kissed him seven times, and his affection and his heart rejoiced over him.
ወባረኮ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ወልድየ ፡ ዘበኵሉ ፡ ልብየ ፡ ወዘበምሕረትየ ፡ በእለ ፡ እትፌሣሕ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ወይኩን ፡ ሣህልከ ፡ ወምሕረትከ ፡ ነዋኀ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ዘርኡ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ 29 ወኢትኅድጎ ፡ ወኢትትሀየዮ ፡ እምይእዜ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
「我給我兒雅各祝福，就是我盡心、盡我所喜悅之慈愛所愛的；願你的恩慈和憐憫永遠加在他和他後裔身上，一生不離。你不要離棄他、輕忽他，從今時直到永遠。」
And he blessed Jacob and said: "My son, over whom with all my heart and my affection I rejoice, may Thy grace and Thy mercy And be not dismayed, O son of Abraham: May the Most High God preserve thee from destruction, 23. Fear not, my son Jacob, And be not dismayed, O son of Abraham: [paragraph continues ] 24. This house have I built for myself that I might put my name upon it in the earth: [it is given to thee and to thy seed for ever ], 2 and it will be named the house of Abraham; it is given to thee and to thy seed for ever; for thou wilt build my house 3 and establish my name before God for ever: thy seed and thy name will stand throughout all generations of the earth. ወያነቅህ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ኃጢኣኒሆሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ምሕረተ ፡ ወሣህለ ፡ ወለገጸ ፡ መኑሂ ፡ ኢያደልው ፡ ኢለልሂቅ ፡ ወኢለወሬዛ ፡ ወኢለመኑሂ ፡ እስመ ፡ እኩያን ፡ ወኀያላን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይእከዩ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወይገብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ሀከከ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ አበሳ ፡ ወይትከዐው ፡ ደም ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘያስተጋብእ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይቀብር ።

祂對那驕傲的人，在他迷失之後憑悔改歸回祂時，也如此說：因著你的驚惶和懼怕，我赦免你的罪；因為我是主，是你的主宰，必追討父親的罪孽，自父及子，直到三四代，但向那愛我、守我誡命的人，我施慈愛，直到千代。

And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to Jehovah, saying, For He is good, for His lovingkindness toward Israel endures for ever. And all the people shouted with a great shout, praising Jehovah, because the foundation of the house of Jehovah was laid.
~282~ למחרת בא בעל הספינה וראה אותה עצובת רוח, אמר לה: מה לך? אמרה לו: לא היה לך אלא שתניח פריצים אלו להתעולל בי? מיד הלך בעל הספינה אצל המלך ואמר לו: אדוני המלך, לא היה לך אלא אלו הפריצים ששלחת לספינתי לשחק באשתי כל הלילה? מיד קרא להם המלך ואמר להם: כלום אמת הדבר ששמעתי שעשיתם עם אשתו של זה כל הלילה? אמרו לו: חלילה לנו מעשות כדבר הזה, תבא אשתו של זה ותעיד בנו ואם אמת אומרת כן הרוג אותנו. מיד הביאו האשה לפני המלך ואמר לה המלך: בתי, אל תכחדי אל תראי להגיד לי כל הדבר. מיד הפילה עצמה על פניה ארצה ואמרה לו: אדוני המלך, תן לי רשות ואדברה לפניך דבר אחד. ויאמר לה המלך: דברי. אמרה לו: בבקשה ממך אדוני המלך שאל אותם מאין הם. מיד סיפרו לו כל המאורעות. מיד עמדה האשה וחבקם ונשקם ואמרה: חי נפשך אדוני המלך, בניי הם. וצועקת ובוכה, וסיפרה לו כל המעשה. כששמע המלך את דבריה, מיד הכיר שהם בניו והיא אשתו. ואמר המלך לבעל הספינה: הגד לי האמת איך באה האשה הזאת לידך, ואם לא תאמר לי האמת אחתוך את ראשך. אמר לו: אדוני המלך, אני שבתיה על שפת הים שהיתה מכבסת בגדים. וחי נפשך אדוני המלך, לא נגעתי בה ולא נזקקתי עמה לעולם, ועתה עשה ממני כל מה שתרצה. מיד אמר לו המלך: לך לשלום אל ארצך. ויאמר המלך, ברוך משלם שכר טוב ליראיו, וברוך המחזיר אבידה לבעליה. ועמד המלך עם אשתו ובניו בעושר גדול. ואמרו רבותינו ז״ל: ומה זה שלא שמר כי אם מצוה אחת שציוה לו אביו שילם לו הקדוש ברוך הוא כך - כל שכן השומר מצוות הרבה. שהקדוש ברוך הוא משלם שכר טוב לאלפים, שנאמר: ועושה חסד לאלפים וכו׳. לכך נאמר: לא תשא את שם ה׳ אלוקיך לשוא.

And the king stood with his wife and sons in great wealth. Quae ait : Inveni gratiam apud oculos tuos, domine mi, qui consolatus es me, et locutus es ad cor ancillae tuae, quae non sum similis unius puellarum tuarum.
路得說：「我主啊，願在你眼前蒙恩。我雖然不及你的一個使女，你還用慈愛的話安慰我的心。」
Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not as one of your servants.”
Et concinebant in hymnis, et confessione Domino : Quoniam bonus, quoniam in aeternum misericordia ejus super Israël. Omnis quoque populus vociferabatur clamore magno in laudando Dominum, eo quod fundatum esset templum Domini.

They sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to Yahweh, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Israel.” All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Yahweh, because the foundation of Yahweh’s house had been laid.
Misericordiae Domini, quia non sumus consumpti ; quia non defecerunt miserationes ejus.
我們不致消滅， 是出於耶和華諸般的慈愛； 是因他的憐憫不致斷絕。
It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail.
Quia si abjecit, et miserebitur, secundum multitudinem misericordiarum suarum.
主雖使人憂愁， 還要照他諸般的慈愛發憐憫。
For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
Et scindite corda vestra, et non vestimenta vestra ; et convertimini ad Dominum Deum vestrum, quia benignus et misericors est, patiens et multae misericordiae, et praestabilis super malitia.
你們要撕裂心腸， 不撕裂衣服。 歸向耶和華－你們的上帝； 因為他有恩典，有憐憫， 不輕易發怒， 有豐盛的慈愛， 並且後悔不降所說的災。
Tear your heart and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.
