便西拉智訓 第 16 章

16:1
ወኢትፍቅድ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ውሉደ፡ እለ፡ አልቦሙ፡ በቊዐ፡ ወኢትትፌሣሕ፡ በእኩይ፡ ውሉድ።
不要貪求生養許多無用的兒女，也不要因不敬虔的兒子歡喜。
Desire not a multitude of unprofitable children, Neither delight in ungodly sons.
16:2
ወለእመኒ፡ በዝኁ፡ ኢትትፌሣሕ፡ ቦሙ፡ ለእመ፡ አልቦሙ፡ ፍርሀተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕሌሆሙ።
他們即便人數眾多，你也不要因他們歡喜，除非他們存有敬畏主的心。
If they multiply, delight not in them, Except the fear of the Lord be with them.
16:3
ኢትትአመኖሙ፡ በሕይወቶሙ፡ ወኢያስተፌሥሕከ፡ ብዝኆሙ። ይኄይስ፡ አሐዱ፡ እምዐሠርቱ፡ ምእት፡ ወይኄይስ፡ መዋቲ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ውሉድ፡ እምወሊደ፡ እኩይ።
不要倚仗他們的性命，也不要倚賴他們的眾多；因為一個勝過一千個，無兒而死也勝過有不敬虔的兒女。
Trust not you in their life, Neither rely on their condition: For one is better than a thousand; And to die childless than to have ungodly children.
16:4
እስመ፡ በ፩ጠቢብ፡ ትጸንዕ፡ ሀገር፡ ወሕዝቦሙሰ፡ ለኃጥኣን፡ ይጠፍኡ።
因為靠一個有見識的人，城邑便得以興旺；不法之徒的族類，卻必荒涼。
For from one that has understanding will a city be peopled; But a race of wicked men will be made desolate.
16:5
ብዙኀ፡ ዘከመዝ፡ ርእየት፡ ዐይንየ፡ ወዘየዐቢ፡ እምዝ፡ ሰምዐት፡ እዝንየ።
這類的事我親眼見過許多，比這更大的事我也親耳聽過。
Many such things I have seen with my eyes; And my ear has heard mightier things than these.
16:6
ውስተ፡ ማኅበሮሙ፡ ለኃጥኣን፡ ትነድድ፡ እሳት፡ ወላዕለ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ዐላዊያን፡ ትነድድ፡ መዐት።
在罪人的集會中必有火燃起，在悖逆的國中忿怒必被點燃。
In the congregation of sinners will a fire be kindled; And in a disobedient nation wrath is kindled.
16:7
ወቀድምትኒ፡ እለ፡ ይርባሕ፡ ኢያድኀኑ፡ ነፍሶሙ፡ እለ፡ ተአመኑ፡ በኀይሎሙ።
他不曾向古時憑己力背叛的巨人施恩開恩。
He was not pacified toward the giants of old time, Who revolted in their strength.
16:8
ወኢመሐካ፡ ለብሔር፡ ኀበ፡ ነበረ፡ ሎጥ፡ እለ፡ አዕበዩ፡ ርእሶሙ፡ ወአስቆረርዎ፡ ለሎጥ።
他不顧惜羅得所寄居之地的眾人，因他們的驕傲而憎惡他們。
He spared not those with whom Lot sojourned, Whom he abhorred for their pride.
16:9
ወኢተሣሀሎ፡ ለሕዝብ፡ ኃጥእ፡ እለ፡ ተሠርዉ፡ በኃጢአቶሙ፤
他不憐憫那滅亡的民，就是在罪中被剪除的人。
He pitied not the people of perdition, Who were taken away in their sins.
16:10
ስሳ፡ እልፍ፡ አጋር፡ እሙንቱ፡ እለ፡ ተጋብኡ፡ ወአእከዩ፡ ልቦሙ።
照樣，那六十萬步兵，就是心裡剛硬聚集起來的人，也是如此。
And in like manner the six hundred thousand footmen, Who were gathered together in the hardness of their hearts.
16:11
ወእመኒ፡ ቦ፡ አሐዱ፡ ዘአግዘፈ፡ ክሳዶ፡ ወውእቱኒ፡ ነኪር፡ ለእመ፡ ድኅነ፡ እስመ፡ ሣህልኒ፡ ወመቅሰፍትኒ፡ እምኀቤሁ፡ ወይክል፡ ተሣህሎ፡ ወይክል፡ አምጽኦ፡ መቅሠፍት።
即便其中只有一個硬著頸項的人，他若能逃脫刑罰也是怪事；因為憐憫與忿怒都在乎主，他大有能力赦免，也傾倒忿怒。
Even if there be one stiff-necked person, It is marvel if he will be unpunished: For mercy and wrath are with him; He is mighty to forgive, and he pours out wrath.
16:12
በአምጣነ፡ ብዝኀ፡ ምሕረቱ፡ ከማሁ፡ ተግሣጹ፡ ወይፈድዮ፡ ለሰብእ፡ በከመ፡ ምግባሩ።
他的憐憫何等浩大，他的責罰也照樣浩大；他必按各人的行為審判他。
As his mercy is great, so is his correction also: He judges a man according to his works.
16:13
ወኢያመሥጥ፡ ኃጥእ፡ እምነ፡ ጻሕፍ፡ ወኢየሀጕል፡ ጻድቅ፡ ዕሴተ፡ ትዕግሥቱ።
罪人必不能帶著贓物逃脫，敬虔人的忍耐也必不落空。
The sinner will not escape with his plunder; And the perseverance of the godly will not be frustrated.
16:14
ኵሉ፡ ምጽዋተ፡ ሣህለ፡ ያመጽእ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ሰብእ፡ ይረክብ፡ ዘከመ፡ ግዕዙ።
他必為各樣憐憫的善行留有餘地，各人必照自己的行為得著報應。
He will make room for every work of mercy; Each man will find according to his works.
16:17
ኢትበል፡ ኣመሥጥ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይረክበኒ፡ በሰማያት፡ ወበውስተ፡ ብዙኅ፡ አሕዛብ፡ አልቦ፡ ዘያአምረኒ፡ ወምንትኑ፡ ኈልቋ፡ ለነፍስየ፡ በውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዓለም።
不要說：『我可以躲避主，誰會從高處記念我？我在這許多人中必不被認出，在這無量的受造之物中，我的性命算得了什麼？』
Don’t say, I shall be hidden from the Lord; And who will remember me from on high? I will not be known among so many people; For what is my soul in a boundless creation?
16:18
ናሁ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወሰማይኒ፡ ዘመልዕልተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወቀላይኒ፡ ወምድርኒ፡ ኵሉዝ፡ ያድለቀልቅ፡ እመከመ፡ ሐወጾሙ።
看哪，諸天與諸天之上的天、深淵與大地，當他鑒察時，都要震動。
Behold, the heaven, and the heaven of heavens, The deep, and the earth, will be moved when he shall visit.
16:19
ወአድባርኒ፡ ወመሠረተ፡ ምድርኒ፡ እምከመ፡ ነጸሮሙ፡ ይርዕዱ፡ ወያድለቀልቁ።
當他垂顧時，羣山與地的根基一同戰兢搖撼。
The mountains and the foundations of the earth together Are shaken with trembling, when he looks upon them.
16:20
ወበዝኒ፡ ኢይኄልዮ፡ ልብ፡ መኑ፡ ይክል፡ አእምሮ፡ ፍናዊሁ።
然而人心不思想這些事，誰又能領悟他的道路呢？
And no heart will think upon these things: And who shall conceive his ways?
16:21
ወዐውሎሂ፡ ዘኢይሬኢ፡ እጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ ወዘይበዝኅ፡ ግብሩ፡ ኅቡእ፡ ውእቱ።
還有人所不能見的風暴，他大部分的作為都隱藏在幽暗之中。
And there is a tempest which no man will see; Yes, the more part of his works are hid.
16:22
ግብረ፡ ጽድቅ፡ መኑ፡ ይሜህር፡ ወመኑ፡ ይጸንሕ፡ ተስፋሐ፡ ለምሕረቱ።
他公義的作為，誰能述說？誰又能承受？因為這約離我們甚遠。
Who will declare the works of his righteousness? Or who will endure them? For his covenant is afar off.
16:23
ሕጹጸ፡ ልብ፡ ያኄሊ፡ ከመዝ፡ ብእሲ፡ አብድ፡ ወጊጉይ፡ ይኄሊ፡ እበደ።
心智短少的人思想這些事，愚昧迷失的人思想的盡是糊塗。
He that is lacking in understanding thinks upon these things; And an unwise and erring man thinks follies.
16:24
ስምዐኒ፡ ወልድ፡ ወተመሀር፡ ጥበበ፡ ወአፅምእ፡ እምልብከ፡ ለነገር።
孩子啊，要聽我，學習知識，留心我的話放在你心上。
My son, hearken to me, and learn knowledge, And give heed to my words with your heart.
16:25
አርእያ፡ ለጥበብከ፡ ደሊወከ፡ በመዳልው፡ ወጠይቅ፡ ነገራ፡ ለትምህርትከ።
我要按準則指示教誨，精確地宣告知識。
I will show forth instruction by weight, And declare knowledge exactly.
16:26
ግብሩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ተፈጥረ፡ በኵነኔሁ፡ ወፈሊጦሙ፡ ሥርዐቶሙ፡ በበ፡ በሓውርቲሆሙ።
主的作為從起初就照他的判斷而行，從他造作之時，就分定了它們各自的本分。
In the judgement of the Lord are his works from the beginning; And from the making of them he disposed the parts thereof.
16:27
ወሠርዐ፡ ኵሎ፡ ግብሮ፡ በዘይቀውም፡ ዓለም፡ ወአሕዛቢሆሙ፡ በበፍጥረቶሙ፡ ዘኢይጸምእ፡ ወዘኢይርኅብ፡ ወዘኢየኀልቅ፡ ግብሮሙ።
他永遠地裝飾了他的作為，使它們的起頭世代相傳；它們既不飢餓，也不疲乏，從不停止它們的工作。
He garnished his works forever, And the beginnings of them to their generations: They neither hunger, nor are weary, And they cease not from their works.
16:28
ወኢይጠወቅ፡ አሐዱ፡ ምስለ፡ ካልኡ፡ ወለዓለም፡ ኢይትገሐሡ፡ እምነ፡ ቃሉ።
它們彼此不相壓迫，永不違揹他的話語。
No one thrusteth aside his neighbor; And they will never disobey his word.
16:29
ወእምዝ፡ ነጸረ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ወአጽገባ፡ እምነ፡ (ኵሉ)፡ በረከቱ።
此後主又垂顧大地，將他的美物充滿其上。
After this also the Lord looked upon the earth, And filled it with his blessings.
16:30
መንፈሰ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘሕያው፡ መልአ፡ ላዕለ፡ ምድር፡ ወውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ምግባኢሆሙ።
他以各樣活物遮蓋地面，它們也都要歸回於地。
All manner of living things covered the face thereof; And into it is their return.
