5-7:7
Ἀπολογεῖται περὶ τοῦ θεοῦ, διὰ τί τοὺς πειρατὰς ἀφῆκεν πειράζειν ἡμᾶς· καὶ φησίν, ὅτι οὐκ ἠδύνατο δίκαιος εἶναι ἄνθρωπος, μὴ ὄντος αὐτῷ ἀνταγωνιστοῦ
He makes a defence concerning God, as to why He permitted the tempters to tempt us; and he says that a man could not be righteous if he had no adversary to contend against.
他為神作了一番申辯,論到神為何容許那些試探者試探我們;他說,人若沒有一個可與之較量的對敵,便不能成為義的。
