turning aside the judgment of the poor, seizing the justice of the needy of my people, so that the widow becomes their plunder and the orphan their spoil.
And what will they do in the day of visitation? For affliction shall come upon you from afar. To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?
I will send my anger against a lawless nation, and I will charge my own people to take spoils and plunder, and to trample down the cities and make them into dust.
And it shall be that when the Lord has finished doing all things on Mount Sion and in Jerusalem, he will punish the great mind — the ruler of the Assyrians — and the haughtiness of the glory of his eyes.
For he said: By my strength I will act, and by the wisdom of my understanding I will remove the boundaries of nations, and I will plunder their strength, and I will shake inhabited cities.
And I will seize the whole inhabited world with my hand as a nest, and I will take it up as eggs that have been left; and there is no one who shall escape me or contradict me.
Shall the axe be glorified apart from him who chops with it, or the saw be exalted apart from him who draws it? Likewise, if someone lifts a rod or a piece of wood.
The mountains and the hills and the forests shall be quenched, and it shall devour from soul to flesh; and he who flees shall be like one fleeing from a burning flame.
And it shall come to pass in that day that what is left of Israel shall no longer be added to, and those of Jacob who are saved shall no longer trust in those who wronged them, but shall trust in God, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
10:21
καὶἔσταιτὸκαταλειφθὲντοῦΙακωβἐπὶθεὸνἰσχύοντα
雅各所剩下的必歸向大能的神。
And the remnant of Jacob shall turn to God who is mighty.
And though the people of Israel be as the sand of the sea, their remnant shall be saved; for he is completing and cutting short a word in righteousness.
10:23
ὅτιλόγονσυντετμημένονποιήσειὁθεὸςἐντῇοἰκουμένῃὅλῃ
因為神必在全地施行祂那截短了的話。
For God will perform a word cut short in all the inhabited world.
Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Do not fear the Assyrians, O my people who dwell in Sion, though he strike you with a rod; for I am bringing a blow upon you, that you may see the way of Egypt.
And God shall stir up against them a blow like that of Madiam in a place of affliction; and his wrath shall be on the way toward the sea, to the way that leads to Egypt.
And it shall come to pass in that day that the fear of him shall be taken away from you, and his yoke from your shoulder; and the yoke shall be destroyed from your shoulders.
For behold, the Master, the Lord of hosts, throws the glorious into confusion with strength; and the lofty in their arrogance shall be crushed, and the lofty shall be brought low.
