And the Spirit of God shall rest upon him: a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and strength, a spirit of knowledge and godliness.
But he shall judge the case of the lowly, and shall reprove the lowly of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the word of his mouth, and with the breath through his lips he shall destroy the ungodly.
And the wolf shall feed together with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the bull and the lion shall feed together, and a little child shall lead them.
And they shall not do harm, nor shall they be able to destroy anyone on my holy mountain; for the whole world has been filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as abundant water covers the seas.
And it shall come to pass in that day that the root of Jesse — even he who rises to rule the nations — in him the nations shall hope; and his resting place shall be honor.
And it shall be in that day that the Lord will again show his hand, to be zealous for the remnant that is left of the people — whatever is left from the Assyrians and from Egypt and Babylonia and Ethiopia, and from the Ailamites, and from the rising of the sun, and out of Arabia.
And he shall raise a sign for the nations, and shall gather the lost of Israel, and shall gather the scattered of Iouda from the four corners of the earth.
And the jealousy of Ephraim shall be taken away, and the enemies of Iouda shall perish; Ephraim shall not envy Iouda, and Ioudas shall not afflict Ephraim.
And they shall fly in the ships of foreigners; together they shall plunder the sea, and those from the rising of the sun, and Idumea; and upon Moab they shall first lay their hands, and the sons of Ammon shall be the first to obey.
And the Lord shall lay waste the sea of Egypt, and shall lay his hand on the river with a violent wind, and shall strike it into seven valleys, so that one may pass through it in sandals.
