以賽亞書 第 66 章

Thus says the Lord: Heaven is my throne, and the earth is the footstool of my feet. What kind of house will you build for me, or what is the place of my rest?

For my hand has made all these things, and all these are mine, says the Lord. And to whom shall I look, but to the humble and quiet one, who trembles at my words?

But the lawless one who sacrifices a calf to me is like one who kills a dog; and he who offers fine flour, like one who offers swine's blood; he who gives frankincense for a memorial, like a blasphemer. These have chosen their own ways, and their soul has delighted in their abominations.

And I also will choose their mockeries, and will repay their sins to them; because I called them and they did not obey me, I spoke and they did not listen, and they did what was evil before me, and chose the things in which I did not delight.

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word. Say, You are our brothers, to those who hate us and abhor us, that the name of the Lord may be glorified and be seen in their gladness; but those shall be put to shame.

A sound of crying from the city, a sound from the temple, the sound of the Lord rendering recompense to his adversaries.

Before she who was in labor gave birth, before the pain of the birth pangs came, she escaped and bore a male child.

Who has heard such a thing, and who has seen the like? Has the earth travailed in one day? Or has a nation been born all at once? For Sion travailed and bore her children.

But I gave this expectation, and you did not remember me, said the Lord. Behold, have I not made her that bears and her that is barren? said God.

Rejoice, O Jerusalem, and all you who love her, hold festival in her; rejoice greatly with joy, all you who mourn over her,

that you may suck and be filled from the breast of her consolation, that having drunk your fill you may delight in the entering in of her glory.

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I turn toward them like a river of peace, and like a torrent flooding in the glory of nations; their children shall be carried upon shoulders and comforted upon knees.

As if a mother comforts someone, so also I will comfort you, and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

And you shall see, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall spring up like grass; and the hand of the Lord shall be made known to those who revere him, and he shall threaten the disobedient.

For behold, the Lord will come as fire, and his chariots as a whirlwind, to render vengeance in wrath, and rejection in a flame of fire.

For by the fire of the Lord all the earth shall be judged, and by his sword all flesh; many shall be slain by the Lord.

Those who sanctify and purify themselves for the gardens, and eat swine's flesh in the porches, and the abominations—they shall now be consumed together, said the Lord.

And I know their works and their thoughts. I am coming to gather all the nations and the tongues; and they shall come and see my glory.

And I will leave signs upon them, and will send out from among them those who are saved to the nations: to Tharsis and Phoud and Loud and Mosoch and Thobel, and to Greece, and to the far-off islands, who have not heard my name nor seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

And they shall bring your brothers out of all the nations as a gift to the Lord, with horses and chariots, in covered wagons drawn by mules, with canopies, to the holy city Jerusalem, said the Lord, as the sons of Israel would bring their sacrifices to me with psalms into the house of the Lord.

And from among them I will take priests and Levites for myself, said the Lord.

For as the new heaven and the new earth which I make remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your seed and your name stand.

And it shall be that from month to month and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me in Jerusalem, said the Lord.

And they shall go out and see the corpses of the men who transgressed against me; for their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched; and they shall be a spectacle to all flesh.
