106:1

ወእምድኅረ፡ መዋዕል፡ ነሥአ፡ ወልድየ፡ ማቱሳላ፡ ለወልዱ፡ ላሜህ፡ ብእሲተ፡ ወፀንሰት፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወወለደት፡ ወልደ።

過了些日子，我兒瑪土撒拉為他兒子拉麥娶妻，她從他懷孕生了一個兒子。

And after some days my son Methuselah took a wife for his son Lamech, and she became pregnant by him and bore a son.

106:2

ወኮነ፡ ሥጋሁ፡ ጸዐዳ፡ ከመ፡ አስሐትያ፡ ወቀይሕ፡ ከመ፡ ጽጌ፡ ረዳ፡ ወጸጕረ፡ ርእሱ፡ ከመ፡ ፀምር፡ ጸዐዳ፡ ወድምድማሁ፡ ወሠናይ፡ አዕይንቲሁ፡ ወሶበ፡ ከሠተ፡ አዕይንቲሁ፡ አብርሃ፡ ኵላ፡ ቤተ፡ ከመ፡ ፀሓይ፡ ወፈድፋደ፡ በርሀ፡ ኵሉ፡ ቤት።

他的身體白如雪，紅如玫瑰花開，他頭上的髮並長鬈髮白如羊毛，眼目俊美；當他睜開眼睛時，便照亮全屋如同太陽，整個屋子極其明亮。

And his body was white as snow and red as the blooming of a rose, and the hair of his head †and his long locks were white as wool, and his eyes beautiful†. And when he opened his eyes, he lighted up the whole house like the sun, and the whole house was very bright.

106:3

ወሶበ፡ ተንሥአ፡ እምእዴሃ፡ ለመወለዲት፡ ከሠተ፡ አፉሁ፡ ወተናገረ፡ ስብሐቲሁ፡ ለእግዚአ፡ ጽድቅ።

他在接生婦手中站起來，開口讚美那公義之主。

And thereupon he arose in the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and †conversed with† the Lord of righteousness.

106:4

ወፈርሀ፡ ላሜህ፡ አቡሁ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወጐየ፡ ወመጽአ፡ ኀበ፡ አቡሁ፡ ማቱሳላ።

他父親拉麥懼怕他，便逃跑，來到他父親瑪土撒拉那裡。

And his father Lamech was afraid of him and fled, and came to his father Methuselah.

106:5

ወይቤሎ፡ አነ፡ ወለድኩ፡ ወልደ፡ ውሉጠ፡ ወኢኮነ፡ ከመ፡ ሰብእ፡ ወይመስል፡ ደቂቀ፡ መላእክተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወፍጥረቱ፡ ካልእት፡ ወኢኮነ፡ ከማነ፡ ወአዕይንቲሁ፡ ከመ፡ እገሪሁ፡ ለፀሓይ፡ ወገጹ፡ ስቡሕ።

對他說：『我生了一個怪異的兒子，與人不同，倒像天上神的眾子；他的性情迥異，與我們不同，他的眼睛如同太陽的光芒，面貌榮耀。

And he said unto him: ‘I have begotten a strange son, diverse from and unlike man, and resembling the sons of the God of heaven; and his nature is different and he is not like us, and his eyes are as the rays of the sun, and his countenance is glorious.

106:6

ወይመስለኒ፡ ከመ፡ ኢኮነ፡ እምኔየ፡ አላ፡ እመላእክት፡ ውእቱ፡ ወእፈርህ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይትገበር፡ መንክር፡ በመዋዕሊሁ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር።

我看他不像是從我所生的，倒像是出於天使；我懼怕在他的日子地上要發生奇事。

And it seems to me that he is not sprung from me but from the angels, and I fear that in his days a wonder may be wrought on the earth.

106:7

ወይእዜኒ፡ ሀሎኩ፡ አቡየ፡ ኣስተበቍዐከ፡ ወእስእል፡ እምኀቤከ፡ ከመ፡ ትሑር፡ ኀበ፡ ሄኖክ፡ አቡነ፡ ወትስማዕ፡ እምኀቤሁ፡ አማነ፡ እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ምስለ፡ መላእክት፡ ምንባሩ።

如今我的父啊，我在此懇求你、向你祈求，求你到我們祖宗以諾那裡去，從他得知真相，因為他的住處在眾天使中間。』

And now, my father, I am here to petition thee and implore thee that thou mayst go to Enoch, our father, and learn from him the truth, for his dwelling-place is amongst the angels.’

106:8

ወሶበ፡ ሰምዐ፡ ማቱሳላ፡ ነገረ፡ ወልዱ፡ መጽአ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ውስተ፡ አጽናፈ፡ ምድር፡ እስመ፡ ሰምዐ፡ ከመ፡ ህየ፡ ሀሎኩ፡ ወጸርሐ፡ ወሰማዕኩ፡ ቃሎ፡ ወመጻእኩ፡ ኀቤሁ፡ ወእቤሎ፡ ናሁ፡ ሀለውኩ፡ ወልድየ፡ እስመ፡ መጻእከ፡ ኀቤየ።

瑪土撒拉聽見他兒子的話，便來到大地盡頭我這裡，因他聽說我在那裡；他呼喊，我聽見他的聲音，就來到他那裡，對他說：『看哪，我兒，我在這裡，你為何來到我這裡？』

And when Methuselah heard the words of his son, he came to me to the ends of the earth; for he had heard that I was there, and he cried aloud, and I heard his voice and I came to him. And I said unto him: ‘Behold, here am I, my son, wherefore hast thou come to me?’

106:9

ወአውሥአኒ፡ ወይቤ፡ በእንተ፡ ነገር፡ ዐቢይ፡ መጻእኩ፡ ኀቤከ፡ ወበእንተ፡ ራእይ፡ ዕጹብ፡ በዘቀረብኩ።

他回答說：『我為一件大可憂慮的事來到你這裡，又為一個令人不安的異象前來。

And he answered and said: ‘Because of a great cause of anxiety have I come to thee, and because of a disturbing vision have I approached.
