78:1
አስማቱ፡ ለፀሓይ፡ ከመ፡ ዝ፡ አሐዱ፡ ኦርያሬስ፡ ወካልኡ፡ ቶማስስ።
太陽的名字如下：第一個是奧爾雅瑞斯，第二個是託馬斯。
And the names of the sun are the following: the first Orjârês, and the second Tômâs.
78:2
ወለወርኅ፡ አርባዕቱ፡ አስማት፡ ቦቱ፡ አሐዱ፡ ስሙ፡ አሶንያ፡ ወካልኡ፡ እብላ፡ ወሣልሱ፡ ብናሴ፡ ወራብዑ፡ ኤራዕ።
月亮有四個名字：第一個名叫阿松雅，第二個是厄伯拉，第三個是貝納塞，第四個是厄拉厄。
And the moon has four names: the first name is Asônjâ, the second Eblâ, the third Benâsê, and the fourth Erâe.
78:3
እሉ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ክልኤቱ፡ ብርሃናት፡ ዐበይት፡ ወክበቦሙ፡ ከመ፡ ክበበ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወአምጣኒሆሙ፡ ለክልኤሆሙ፡ ዕሩያን።
這就是那兩個大光體，它們的圓周如同天的圓周，二者圓周的大小相同。
These are the two great luminaries: their circumference is like the circumference of the heaven, and the size of the circumference of both is alike.
78:4
በክበበ፡ ፀሓይ፡ ሰብዐቱ፡ ክፍለ፡ ብርሃን፡ ዘይትዌሰክ፡ ቦቱ፡ እምወርኅ፡ ወበመስፈርት፡ ትትወደይ፡ እስከ፡ የኀልፍ፡ ሳብዕ፡ ክፍለ፡ ፀሓይ።
太陽圓週中有七分光，比月亮多出來，按定量分配，直到太陽的第七分用盡。
In the circumference of the sun there are seven portions of light which are added to it more than to the moon, and in definite measures it is transferred till the seventh portion of the sun is exhausted.
78:5
ወየዐርቡ፡ ወይበውኡ፡ ውስተ፡ ኀዋኅወ፡ ምዕራብ፡ ወየዐውዱ፡ እንተ፡ መስዕ፡ ወእንተ፡ ኀዋኅወ፡ ምሥራቅ፡ ይወፅኡ፡ ዲበ፡ ገጸ፡ ሰማይ።
它們落下，進入西方的諸門，經北方迴轉，又從東方的諸門在天面上升起。
And they set and enter the portals of the west, and make their revolution by the north, and come forth through the eastern portals on the face of the heaven.
78:6
ወሶበ፡ ይትነሣእ፡ ወርኅ፡ ያስተርኢ፡ በሰማይ፡ ወመንፈቀ፡ ሳብዕ፡ እደ፡ ብርሃን፡ ይከውን፡ ቦቱ፡ ወበዐሡር፡ ወረቡዕ፡ ይፌጽም፡ ኵሎ፡ ብርሃኖ።
當月亮升起時，它在天上顯出十四分之一，到第十四日它便成就其全光。
And when the moon rises one-fourteenth part appears in the heaven: [the light becomes full in her]: on the fourteenth day she accomplishes her light.
78:7
ወሠለስቱ፡ ትኅምስተ፡ ብርሃን፡ ይትወደይ፡ ውስቴታ፡ እስከ፡ ዐሥር፡ ወኀምስ፡ ይትፌጸም፡ ብርሃነ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ለትእምርተ፡ ዓመት፡ ወይከውን፡ ሠለስተ፡ ትኅምስተ፡ ወይከውን፡ ወርኅ፡ በመንፈቀ፡ ሳብዕተ፡ እድ።
它每加十五分之光，直到第十五日，照年歲的記號成就其全光，成為十五分；月亮逐次以十四分之一增長。
And fifteen parts of light are transferred to her till the fifteenth day (when) her light is accomplished, according to the sign of the year, and she becomes fifteen parts, and the moon grows by (the addition of) fourteenth parts.
78:8
ወበሕጸጸ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ በቀዳሚት፡ ዕለት፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ዐሠርተ፡ ወአርባዕተ፡ እደ፡ ብርሃነ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ወበሣኒታ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ዐሠርተ፡ ወሠለስተ፡ እደ፡ ወበሣልስ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ዐሠርተ፡ ወክልኤተ፡ እደ፡ ወበራብዑ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ዐሠርተ፡ ወአሐደ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበኀምስ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ዐሠርተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበሳድስ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ተስዓተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበሳብዕ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ሰመንተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበሳምን፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ሰብዐተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበታስዕ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ስድስተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበዐሥር፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ኀምስተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበዐሥር፡ ወአሚር፡ የሐጽጽ፡ አርባዕተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበዐሥር፡ ወሰኑይ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ሠለስተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበዐሥር፡ ወሠሉስ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ ክልኤተ፡ ክፍለ፡ ወበዐሥር፡ ወረቡዕ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ መንፈቀ፡ ሰብዐቱ፡ እደ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ብርሃኑ፡ በዐሥር፡ ወኀምስ፡ ዕለት፡ ይትዌዳእ፡ ዘተርፈ፡ እምኵሉ።
它虧缺時，第一日它的光減為十四分，第二日減為十三分，第三日減為十二分，第四日減為十一分，第五日減為十分，第六日減為九分，第七日減為八分，第八日減為七分，第九日減為六分，第十日減為五分，第十一日減為四分，第十二日減為三分，第十三日減為兩分，第十四日減為七分之一的一半，到第十五日它一切其餘的光便完全消失。
And in her waning (the moon) decreases on the first day to fourteen parts of her light, on the second to thirteen parts of light, on the third to twelve, on the fourth to eleven, on the fifth to ten, on the sixth to nine, on the seventh to eight, on the eighth to seven, on the ninth to six, on the tenth to five, on the eleventh to four, on the twelfth to three, on the thirteenth to two, on the fourteenth to the half of a seventh, and all her remaining light disappears wholly on the fifteenth.
78:9
ወበአውራኅ፡ እሙራት፡ ይከውን፡ በበ፡ ዕሥራ፡ ወተሱዕ፡ መዋዕል፡ ለወርኅ፡ ወቦ፡ ጊዜ፡ በበ፡ ዕሥራ፡ ወሰሙን።
在某些月份，月有二十九日，有時為二十八日。
And in certain months the month has twenty-nine days and once twenty-eight.
78:10
ወካልኣተ፡ ሥርዐተ፡ አርአየኒ፡ ኡርኤል፡ መልአክ፡ ሶበ፡ ይትወደይ፡ ብርሃን፡ ውስተ፡ ወርኅ፡ ወእምኀበ፡ ይትወደይ፡ እምፀሓይ።
烏利伊勒又將另一條定例指示我，就是光何時、從哪一面藉太陽傳給月亮。
And Uriel showed me another law: when light is transferred to the moon, and on which side it is transferred to her by the sun.
78:11
ኵሎ፡ ዘመነ፡ ዘተሐውር፡ ወርኅ፡ ብርሃነ፡ ዚኣሃ፡ ትወዲ፡ በቅድመ፡ ፀሓይ፡ ወእስከ፡ ዐሥር፡ ወኀምስ፡ መዋዕል፡ ይትፌጸም፡ ብርሃና፡ ውስተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወሶበ፡ ይውዒ፡ ኵሉ፡ ይትፌጸም፡ ብርሃና፡ ውስተ፡ ሰማይ።
在月亮增光的整段時期，當它與太陽相對時，便將光傳給自己，經過十四日，它的光便在天上成就；當它通體被照亮時，它的光便在天上完全成就。
During all the period during which the moon is growing in her light, she is transferring it to herself when opposite to the sun during fourteen days [her light is accomplished in the heaven], and when she is illumined throughout, her light is accomplished full in the heaven.
78:12
ወቀዳሚት፡ ዕለት፡ ሠርቀ፡ ትሰመይ፡ እስመ፡ በይእቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ይትነሣእ፡ ላዕሌሃ፡ ብርሃን።
第一日稱為新月，因為在那日光在它上面升起。
And on the first day she is called the new moon, for on that day the light rises upon her.
78:13
ወይትፌጸም፡ ጥንቁቀ፡ በዕለተ፡ ይወርድ፡ ፀሓይ፡ ውስተ፡ ዓረብ፡ ወእምነ፡ ምሥራቅ፡ የዐርግ፡ በሌሊት፡ ወያበርህ፡ ወርኅ፡ በኵሉ፡ ሌሊት፡ እስከ፡ ይሠርቅ፡ ፀሓይ፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ ወይትረአይ፡ ወርኅ፡ በቅድመ፡ ፀሓይ።
它恰在太陽落入西方之日成為滿月，從東方在夜間升起，整夜照耀，直到太陽迎面升起，月亮便與太陽相對而見。
She becomes full moon exactly on the day when the sun sets in the west, and from the east she rises at night, and the moon shines the whole night through till the sun rises over against her and the moon is seen over against the sun.
78:14
ወእምኀበ፡ ይወፅእ፡ ብርሃኑ፡ ለወርኅ፡ እምህየ፡ ካዕበ፡ የሐጽጽ፡ እስከ፡ ይትዌዳእ፡ ኵሉ፡ ብርሃን፡ ወየኀልፍ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ወርኅ፡ ወይነብር፡ ክበቡ፡ በከ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ብርሃን።
月光從哪一面出來，從那裡又開始虧缺，直到全光消盡，月的日子終了，它的圓周成為空的，毫無光輝。
On the side whence the light of the moon comes forth, there again she wanes till all the light vanishes and all the days of the month are at an end, and her circumference is empty, void of light.
78:15
ወሠለስተ፡ ወርኀ፡ ይገብር፡ ሠላሳ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ለዘመነ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ወሠለስተ፡ ወርኀ፡ ይገብር፡ በበ፡ ዕሥራ፡ ወተሱዕ፡ መዋዕል፡ እለ፡ ቦሙ፡ ይገብር፡ ታሕጻጺተ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ በዘመን፡ ቀዳማዊ፡ ወበኆኅት፡ ቀዳማዊ፡ በመዋዕል፡ ምእት፡ ወሰብዓ፡ ወሰብዐቱ።
它在其時令中，三個月各為三十日，三個月各為二十九日，藉此在頭一段時期、頭一道門中、一百七十七日內成就其虧缺。
And three months she makes of thirty days, and at her time she makes three months of twenty-nine days each, in which she accomplishes her waning in the first period of time, and in the first portal for one hundred and seventy-seven days.
78:16
ወበዘመነ፡ ሙፃኡ፡ ሠለስተ፡ ወርኀ፡ ያስተርኢ፡ በበ፡ ሠላሳ፡ መዋዕል፡ ወሠለስተ፡ ወርኀ፡ ያስተርኢ፡ በበ፡ ዕሥራ፡ ወተሱዕ፡ መዋዕል።
在它出來的時期，三個月各顯現三十日，三個月各顯現二十九日。
And in the time of her going out she appears for three months (of) thirty days each, and for three months she appears (of) twenty-nine each.
78:17
በሌሊት፡ ያስተርኢ፡ በበ፡ ዕሥራ፡ ከመ፡ ብእሲ፡ ወመዓልተ፡ ከመ፡ ሰማይ፡ እስመ፡ ካልእ፡ ምንትኒ፡ አልባቲ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ብርሃነ፡ ዚኣሃ።
在夜間，它每次顯現二十日如同一人，在白晝顯現如同天，因為除它的光以外，再無別的。
At night she appears like a man for twenty days each time, and by day she appears like the heaven, and there is nothing else in her save her light.
