32:1
ወእምድኅረ፡ እሉ፡ አፈው፡ ለመስዕ፡ እንዘ፡ እኔጽር፡ መልዕልተ፡ አድባር፡ ርኢኩ፡ ሰብዓተ፡ አድባረ፡ ምሉኣነ፡ ሰንበልት፡ ቅድው፡ ወዕፀወ፡ መዐዛ፡ ወቀናንሞስ፡ ወፕፕሬ።
在這些香氣之後，我向北望那些山的頂上，看見七座山，滿了上好的甘松、芬芳的樹木、肉桂與胡椒。
And after these fragrant odours, as I looked towards the north over the mountains I saw seven mountains full of choice nard and fragrant trees and cinnamon and pepper. || To the north-east I beheld seven mountains full of choice nard and mastic and cinnamon and pepper |}
32:2
ወእምህየ፡ ሖርኩ፡ መልዕልተ፡ ርእሶሙ፡ ለእልክቱ፡ አድባር፡ እንዘ፡ ርሑቅ፡ ውእቱ፡ ለጽባሕ፡ ወኀለፍኩ፡ ዲበ፡ ባሕረ፡ ኤርትራ፡ ወእምኔሁ፡ ርሑቀ፡ ኮንኩ፡ ወኀለፍኩ፡ መልዕልቶ፡ ለመልአክ፡ ዙጥኤል።
我從那裡越過那些山的頂峯，遠往大地的東方，越過厄立特里亞海，遠離了它，又越過那名叫祖提伊勒的天使之上。
And thence I went over the summits of all these mountains, far towards the east of the earth, and passed above the Erythraean sea and went far from it, and passed over the angel Zotîêl. {| class="wikitable" |- ! Ethiopic !! Greek |- |
32:3
ወመጻእኩ፡ ውስተ፡ ገነተ፡ ጽድቅ፡ ወርኢኩ፡ ከሃ፡ ከሃቲሆሙ፡ ለእልክቱ፡ ዕፀው፡ ዕፀወ፡ ብዙኃነ፡ ወዐቢያነ፡ ይበቍሉ፡ በህየ፡ ወእንዘ፡ ጼናሆሙ፡ ሠናይ፡ ዐቢያን፡ ወሥኖሙ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ወስቡሓን፡ ወዕፀ፡ ጥበብ፡ ዘእምኔሁ፡ በሊዖሙ፡ የአምርዋ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ዐባይ።
我來到義人的園子，在那些樹之外看見許多又大又美的樹木生長在那裡，香氣芬芳、高大華美、極其榮耀，又有智慧之樹，凡喫它的便得大智慧。
And I came to the Garden of Righteousness, and saw beyond those trees many large trees growing there and of goodly fragrance, large, very beautiful and glorious, and the tree of wisdom whereof they eat and know great wisdom. || And I came to the Garden of Righteousness, and from afar off trees more numerous than these trees and great—two trees there, very great, beautiful, and glorious, and magnificent, and the tree of knowledge, whose holy fruit they eat and know great wisdom. |}
32:4
ወይመስል፡ ሐመረ፡ ጽራዕ፡ ወፍሬሁኒ፡ ከመ፡ አስካለ፡ ወይን፡ ጥቀ፡ ሠናይ፡ ወጼናሁ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ዕፅ፡ የሐውር፡ ወይበጽሕ፡ ነዋኅ።
那樹的高度如同杉樹，葉子如同角豆樹的葉，果子如同葡萄串，極其佳美；那樹的香氣傳得遠遠的。
That tree is in height like the fir, and its leaves are like (those of) the Carob tree: and its fruit is like the clusters of the vine, very beautiful: and the fragrance of the tree penetrates afar.
32:5
ወእቤ፡ ዝ፡ ዕፅ፡ ሠናይ፡ ወከመ፡ ሠናይ፡ ወፍሡሕ፡ ርእየቱ።
我便說：「這樹何等佳美，它的樣子何等令人喜悅！」
Then I said: ‘How beautiful is the tree, and how attractive is its look!’
32:6
ወአውሥአኒ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ሩፋኤል፡ መልአክ፡ ዘምስሌየ፡ ሀሎ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ ዝ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዕፀ፡ ጥበብ፡ ዘእምኔሁ፡ በልዑ፡ አቡከ፡ አረጋዊ፡ ወእምከ፡ ዕቤራይት፡ እለ፡ ቀደሙከ፡ ወአእመርዋ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ወተፈትሐ፡ አዕይንቲሆሙ፡ ወአእመሩ፡ ከመ፡ ዕራቃኒሆሙ፡ ሀለዉ፡ ወተሰዱ፡ እምገነት።
與我同在的聖天使拉斐爾回答我，對我說：「這就是智慧之樹，你那年邁的父和你年老的母，就是在你以先的，曾喫了它，得了智慧，眼睛就明亮了，知道自己赤身露體，便被趕出園子。」
Then Raphael the holy angel, who was with me, answered me and said: ‘This is the tree of wisdom, of which thy father old (in years) and thy aged mother, who were before thee, have eaten, and they learnt wisdom and their eyes were opened, and they knew that they were naked and they were driven out of the garden.’
