12:1
አመ፡ ትገብር፡ ሠናየ፡ አእምር፡ ለዘትገብር፡ በዘትረክብ፡ ዕሴተ፡ ሠናይትከ።
你若行善，就當知道是向誰行的，你的善行才會得人感謝。
If you do good, know to whom you do it; And your good deeds will have thanks.
12:2
ግበር፡ ለጻድቅ፡ ወትረክብ፡ ዕሴተከ፡ ወእመ፡ ኢረከብከ፡ በኀቤሁ፡ ትረክብ፡ በኀበ፡ ፈጣሪሁ።
你向敬虔的人行善，必得回報；縱然不從他得著，也必從至高者得著。
Do good to a godly man, and you will find a recompense; And if not from him, yet from the Most High.
12:3
አልቦቱ፡ ሠናይ፡ በኀበ፡ ዘይገብራ፡ ለእኪት፡ ወበኀበ፡ ዘኢይገብር፡ ምጽዋተ።
恆常行惡的人沒有福分，不肯施捨的人也是如此。
There will no good come to him that continueth to do evil, Nor to him that gives no alms.
12:4
ሀብ፡ ለጻድቅ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይንሣእከ፡ ኃጥእ።
要施與敬虔的人，不要幫助罪人。
Give to the godly man, And help not the sinner.
12:5
አሠኒ፡ ለነዳይ፡ ወኢተሀብ፡ ለእኩይ፡ አፅርዕ፡ እክለከ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይንሣእከ፡ ውእቱ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይማእከ፡ በንዋይከ፡ እስመ፡ ካዕበተ፡ ትረክባ፡ ለእኪት፡ በኀቤሁ፡ ዕሴተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ሠናይትከ፡ እንተ፡ ገበርከ፡ ሎቱ።
要善待卑微的人，不要施與不敬虔的人；要扣住給他的食物，不要給他，免得他藉此轄制你；因為你向他所行的一切善事，必招來加倍的禍患。
Do good to one that is lowly, And give not to an ungodly man: Keep back his bread, and give it not to him, Lest he overmaster you thereby: For you will receive twice as much evil For all the good you will have done to him.
12:6
እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ይጸልኦሙ፡ ለኃጥኣን፡ ወይትቤቀሎሙ፡ ለእኩያን።
因為至高者也憎惡罪人，必向不敬虔的人施行報應。
For the Most High also hates sinners, And will repay vengeance to the ungodly.
12:7
ሀብ፡ ለጻድቅ፡ እምተሀብ፡ ለኃጥእ።
要施與善人，不要幫助罪人。
Give to the good man, And help not the sinner.
12:8
ኢያምሥጥከ፡ ዐርክከ፡ አመ፡ ትፍሥሕትከ፡ ወኢይትኅባእከ፡ ጸላኢከ፡ አመ፡ ምንዳቤከ።
順境時朋友難以分辨，患難時仇敵也無從隱藏。
A man’s friend will not be fully tried in prosperity; And his enemy will not be hidden in adversity.
12:9
ትፍሥሕትከ፡ ያቈስሎሙ፡ ለጸላእትከ፡ ወተጽናስከ፡ ይሰድዶሙ፡ ለአዕርክቲከ።
人在順境時，他的仇敵憂愁；人在患難時，連他的朋友也與他分離。
In a man’s prosperity his enemies are grieved; And in his adversity even his friend will be separated from him.
12:10
ኢትትአመኖ፡ ለጸላኢከ፡ ለዝሉፉ፡ እስመ፡ ከመ፡ ዛሕለ፡ ብርት፡ እከየ፡ ልቡ።
永不要信任你的仇敵，因為他的邪惡如同生鏽的銅。
Never trust your enemy: For like as the brass rusts, so is his wickedness.
12:11
ወእመኒ፡ ተጸነስከ፡ ይፀመደከ፡ እንዘ፡ ኢይንእደከ፡ አጽንዓ፡ ለነፍስከ፡ ወተዐቀቦ፡ ወትከውኖ፡ ከመ፡ መጽሔት፡ ዝሕልተ፡ ወኢይክለከ፡ ለዝሉፉ።
他即便自卑屈身而行，你也要留心防備他；你待他要像擦亮鏡子的人，便曉得他的鏽蝕並未盡除。
Though he humble himself, and go crouching, Yet take good heed, and beware of him, And you will be to him as one that has wiped a mirror, And you will know that he has not utterly rusted it.
12:12
ወኢታቅሞ፡ መንገሌከ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይጕዳዕከ፡ ወኢይቁም፡ ውስተ፡ መካንከ፡ ወኢታንብሮ፡ መንገለ፡ የማንከ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይንሣእከ፡ ሢመተከ፡ ወበደኃሪትከ፡ ሀለወከ፡ ታእምሮ፡ ለቃልየ፡ ወትዜከሮ፡ ለተግሣጽየ።
不要使他站在你身旁，免得他推倒你而取代你的位置；不要使他坐在你的右邊，免得他圖謀你的座位；到末了你才會明白我的話，因我的言語而扎心。
Set him not by you, Lest he overthrow you and stand in your place; Let him not sit on your right hand, Lest he seek to take your seat, And at the last you acknowledge my words, And be pricked with my sayings.
12:13
መኑ፡ ያስተምህሮ፡ ለአርዌ፡ ምድር፡ ወለኵሉ፡ አርዌ፡ እኩይ።
被蛇咬的弄蛇人，誰會憐憫他呢？凡親近野獸的人，又有誰憐憫呢？
Who will pity a charmer that is bitten with a serpent, Or any that come near wild beasts?
12:14
ከማሁ፡ ዘየሐውርኒ፡ ምስለ፡ ብእሲ፡ ኃጥእ፡ ወይዴመር፡ ምስለ፡ ኀጢአቱ።
親近罪人、與他在罪中同流合污的人，也是如此。
Even so who will pity him that goes to a sinner, And is mingled with him in his sins?
12:15
ለእንተ፡ ምዕር፡ ይቀውም፡ ምስሌከ፡ ጸላኢከ፡ ወእስከ፡ ትትመየጥ፡ ኢትሬእዮ፡ እንከ፡ ወኢይትዔገሥ፡ ምስሌከ።
他暫時與你同在，你若退讓，他便不能持守。
For a while he will abide with you, And if you give way, he will not hold out.
12:16
በከናፍሪሁሰ፡ ያስተጥዕም፡ ለከ፡ ቃሎ፡ ጸላኢከ፡ ወበልቡ፡ ይመክር፡ ውስተ፡ ግብ፡ ያውድቀ፡ ወበዐይኑሂ፡ ያነብዕ፡ ለከ፡ ጸላኢከ፡ ወእም፡ ከመ፡ አስሐተከ፡ ኢይጸግብ፡ እምደምከ።
仇敵口中說甜言蜜語，心裡卻謀算要把你推入坑中；仇敵眼中流淚，一旦得了機會，必不滿足，直到飽飲你的血。
And the enemy will speak sweetly with his lips, And in his heart take counsel how to overthrow you into a pit: The enemy will weep with his eyes, And if he find opportunity, he will not be satiated with blood.
12:17
ወእመኒ፡ ተመንደብከ፡ ቅድመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ትረክቦ፡ ቅድመ፡ ገጽከ፡ ወቅድመ፡ ዘይረድአከ፡ ያቴሕት፡ ርእሶ፡ ታሕተ፡ ሰኰናከ።
災禍臨到你時，你必發現他早已在那裡等你，假裝要幫助你，卻絆倒你的腳跟。
If adversity meet you, you will find him there before you; And as though he would help you, he will trip up your heel.
12:18
ወይጠፍሕ፡ በእደዊሁ፡ ወየሐውስ፡ ርእሶ፡ ወእምዝ፡ ይመይጥ፡ ገጾ፡ ወይትቃጸበከ።
他必搖頭、拍手、竊竊私語，並變了臉色。
He will shake his head, and clap his hands, And whisper much, and change his countenance.
