便西拉智訓第 1 章

1:1

ቀዳሚሃ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ጥበብ፡ እምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ይእቲ። ወምስሌሁ፡ ሀለወት፡ ጥበብ፡ ለዓለም።

一切智慧都來自主，並與祂同在，直到永遠。

All wisdom comes from the Lord, And is with him forever.

1:2

ኆፃ፡ ባሕር፡ ወነጠብጣበ፡ ዝናም፡ ወመዋዕለ፡ ዓለም፡ መኑ፡ ኈለቈ።

海中的沙、雨中的點滴、亙古的歲月，誰能數算得清？

The sand of the seas, and the drops of rain, And the days of eternity, who shall count?

1:3

ሉዓሌ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወራሕበ፡ ምድር፡ ወዕመቀ፡ ቀላይ፡ ወለጥበብ፡ መኑ፡ ሰፈሮሙ።

天的高、地的廣、深淵與智慧，誰能探究得透？

The height of the heaven, and the breadth of the earth, And the deep, and wisdom, who shall search them out?

1:4

ቀዳሜ፡ ኵሉ፡ ተፈጥረት፡ ጥበብ።

智慧在萬有之先已被造成，明達的悟性自亙古便已存在。

Wisdom has been created before all things, And the understanding of prudence from everlasting.

1:5

ወኅሊናሃ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ዘእምፍጥረተ፡ ዓለም።

智慧的泉源，是至高之處神的言語；通向智慧的門徑，是永恆的誡命。

The word of God on high is the fountain of wisdom, and her ways are everlasting commandments.

1:6

ሥርዋ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ለመኑ፡ ተከሥተ።

智慧的根，曾向誰顯明？她那精深的謀略，又有誰曾知曉？

To whom has the root of wisdom been revealed? And who has known her shrewd counsels?

1:7

ወመኑ፡ አእመረ፡ ምክራ።

智慧的教訓，曾向誰啟示、向誰彰顯？她豐盛的門徑，又有誰能參透？

To whom has the discipline of wisdom been revealed and made manifest? And who has understood the manifold ways of her approach?

1:8

አሐዱ፡ ውእቱ፡ ጥበብ፡ ወፈድፋደ፡ ግሩም፡ ውእቱ፡ ወይነብር፡ ላዕለ፡ መንበሩ፡ ውእቱ።

惟有一位智者，極其可畏，就是那坐在寶座上的主。

There is one wise, greatly to be feared, The Lord sitting upon his throne:

1:9

ወእግዚአብሔር፡ ለሊሁ፡ ፈጠራ፡ ወርእያ፡ ወሰፈራሂ።

是祂創造了智慧，又觀看她、數算她，將她傾澆在祂一切所造的工上。

He created her, And saw, and counted her, And poured her out upon all his works.

1:10

ወሶጣ፡ ላዕለ፡ ኵሉ፡ ግብሩ፡ ምስለ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘሥጋ፡ በከመ፡ ሀብቱ። ወወሀቦሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ያፈቅርዋ።

祂按著恩賜，將智慧分給凡有血氣的，又厚厚賜給愛祂的人。

She is with all flesh according to his gift; And he gave her freely to those who love him.

1:11

ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ክብር፡ ውእቱ። ወምክህ፡ ወትፍሥሕት፡ ውእቱ፡ ወአክሊለ፡ ሐሤት።

敬畏主乃是榮耀、誇耀、歡欣，並是喜樂的冠冕。

The fear of the Lord is glory, and exultation, And gladness, and a crown of rejoicing.

1:12

ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ትፍሥሕተ፡ ልብ፡ ውእቱ። ወይሁብ፡ ሐሤተ፡ ወያስተፌሥሕ፡ ወያነውኅ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሕይወት።

敬畏主使人心歡暢，賜下歡欣、喜樂與長壽。

The fear of the Lord will delight the heart, And will give gladness, and joy, and length of days.

1:13

ለፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ያሤኒ፡ ደኃሪቱ። ወይትባረክ፡ አመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ሞቱ።

敬畏主的人，結局必享福樂，臨終之日必蒙祝福。

Whoso fears the Lord, it will go well with him at the last, And in the day of his death he will be blessed.

1:14

ቀዳሚሃ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር። ወተፈጥረት፡ ምስለ፡ ምእመናን፡ እምከርሠ፡ እሞሙ።

敬畏主是智慧的開端；智慧在母腹中，便與忠信的人一同被造。

To fear the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; And it was created together with the faithful in the womb.

1:15

ወምስለ፡ ዕጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ ተፈጥረት፡ መሠረተ፡ ዓለም። ወተአምነት፡ ምስለ፡ ዘርዖሙ።

她在世人中間立定永恆的根基，並要在他們的後裔中得人信託。

With men she laid an eternal foundation; And with their seed will she be had in trust.

1:16

ጸጊቦታ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር። ወታረውዮሙ፡ እምነ፡ ቀምሐ።

敬畏主是智慧的豐盈，她以自己的果子使人飽足。

To fear the Lord is the fulness of wisdom; And she satiateth men with her fruits.

1:17

ምሉዕ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ ውስተ፡ አብያቲሃ። ወውስተ፡ አዕጻዳቲሃ፡ ምሉዕ፡ ፍሬ።

她要使人的全家充滿珍寶，使倉廩堆滿她的出產。

She will fill all her house with desirable things, And her garners with her produce.

1:18

አክሊላ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር። ወያመጽኣ፡ ለሰላም፡ ወይፌውሳ፡ ወየሐዩ።

敬畏主是智慧的冠冕，使平安與健全的醫治得以興旺。

The fear of the Lord is the crown of wisdom, Making peace and perfect health to flourish.

1:19

ወርእያ፡ ፈጣሪሃ፡ ወሠፈራ። ወአውሐዘ፡ ነቅዐ፡ አእምሮ፡ ወምክር፡ ወጥበብ። ወአዕበዮሙ፡ ለእለ፡ ያጸንዕዋ፡ ወአክበሮሙ።

祂觀看智慧，數算她，又沛降技能與通達的知識，並高舉持守智慧之人的尊榮。

He both saw and counted her; He rained down skill and knowledge of understanding, And exalted the honor of those who hold her fast.

1:20

ሥርዋ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር። ወአዕፁቂሃኒ፡ ያነውኅ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሕይወት።

敬畏主是智慧的根，她的枝條乃是長壽。

To fear the Lord is the root of wisdom; And her branches are length of days.

1:21

ኢይክል፡ መዓትም፡ ወዐማፂ፡ ጸዲቀ። እስመ፡ በጊዜ፡ ይትመዐዕ፡ ይከውኖ፡ ድቀቱ።

敬畏主必使他的全家充滿世代的福分，使他的庫房盈滿主的珍寶。

She will fill all her house with her increase from generation to generation, and the storerooms with her treasures.

1:22

እስከ፡ ተኀልፍ፡ ጊዜሃ፡ ተዐገሣ፡ ለመዓት፡ ወድኅረ፡ ታስተፌሥሐከ።

不義的怒氣斷不能稱為有理，因為他怒氣的衝動，正是他傾覆的緣由。

Unjust wrath can never be justified; For the sway of his wrath is his downfall.

1:23

እስከ፡ ትረክብ፡ ጊዜሁ፡ ኅባዕ፡ ነገረከ፡ ወይትናገሩ፡ ብዙኃን፡ በጥበብከ።

忍耐的人必暫且容讓，到後來歡欣必為他湧現。

A man that is longsuffering will bear for a season, And afterward gladness will spring up to him;

1:24

ውስተ፡ መዛግብቲሃ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ትምህርተ፡ አምሳል። ያስቈርሮ፡ ኃጥእ፡ ለፈራሄ፡ እግዚአብሔር።

他暫且隱藏自己的言語，眾人的口卻要傳揚他的明達。

He will hide his words for a season, And the lips of many will tell forth his understanding.

1:25

ለእመ፡ ታፈቅራ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ዕቀብ፡ ትእዛዛ። ወእግዚአብሔር፡ ይሁበከሃ።

知識的箴言藏在智慧的庫府中；敬虔在罪人看來卻是可憎的。

A parable of knowledge is in the treasures of wisdom; But godliness is an abomination to a sinner.

1:26

ጥበብኒ፡ ወአእምሮኒ፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ውእቱ። ወፈቃዱኒ፡ ሃይማኖት፡ ወየዋሃት።

你若渴慕智慧，就當遵守誡命，主必將智慧白白賜給你。

If you desire wisdom, keep the commandments, And the Lord will give her to you freely:

1:27

ኢትርሳዕ፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር።

因為敬畏主就是智慧與教誨，祂所喜悅的乃是信實與謙和。

For the fear of the Lord is wisdom and instruction; And in faith and meekness is his good pleasure.

1:28

ወኢትፀመዶ፡ በክልኤ፡ ልብ፡ እንዘ፡ ትናፍቅ።

不可違背敬畏主之道，也不可懷著二心親近祂。

Disobey not the fear of the Lord; And come not to him with a double heart.

1:29

ወኢትደቅ፡ ውስተ፡ አፈ፡ ሰብእ፡ ወዕቀብ፡ ከናፍሪከ።

不可在眾人面前作偽君子，要謹守你嘴脣的言語。

Be not a hypocrite in the mouths of men; And take good heed to your lips.

1:30

ወኢታዕቢ፡ ርእሰከ፡ ከመ፡ ኢትሕሠር፡ ወከመ፡ ኢትደቅ፡ ነፍስከ። ወይከሥተከ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኅቡዓቲከ፡ ወበማዕከለ፡ ብዙኃን። ያወድቀከ፡ እስመ፡ በፍርሀተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኢመጻእከ። ወምሉዕ፡ ጕሕሉት፡ ውስተ፡ ልብከ።

不可自高自大，免得跌倒，使你的魂蒙受羞辱；如此，主必揭露你隱密的事，在會眾中把你擊倒，因為你不存敬畏主的心前來，你的心卻充滿詭詐。

Exalt not yourself, lest you fall, And bring dishonor upon your soul; And so the Lord will reveal your secrets, And will cast you down in the midst of the congregation; Because you came not to the fear of the Lord, And your heart was full of deceit.
