39:1
ወባሕቱ፡(ኪንሰ፡)ለዘ፡ አስተሐመመ፡ በልቡ፡(ውእቱ፡)ወዘይኄሊ፡ ሕጎ፡ ለልዑል፡ ጥበብ(ሰ)፡ ተኀሠት፡ በኀበ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ቀደምት፡ ወትሜህር፡ ተነብዮተ፡ ለዕደው።
惟有那專心研究至高者律法的人卻不然；他探尋古人一切的智慧，又專心於眾先知的預言。
Not so he that has applied his soul, And meditateth in the law of the Most High; He will seek out the wisdom of all the ancients, And will be occupied in prophecies.
39:2
እለ፡ አስመዩ፡ በሃይማኖት፡ ወታበውእ፡ ውስተ፡ አምሳለ፡ ነቢያት።
他必保存名人的言論，又深入箴言的奧妙之中。
He will keep the discourse of the men of renown, And will enter in amidst the subtleties of parables.
39:3
ወተኅሥሥ፡ አምሳለ፡ ዘኅቡእ፤[ወትትመየጥ]፡ በፍካሬ፡ አምሳል።
他必探求箴言隱藏的意義，又揣摩比喻中隱晦的話語。
He will seek out the hidden meaning of proverbs, And be conversant in the dark sayings of parables.
39:4
ወትበቊዕ፡ በማእከለ፡ መኳንንት፡ ወታስተርኢ፡ በማእከለ፡ መላእክት፡ ወትበውእ፡ ብሔረ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ነኪር፡ እስመ፡ ወጠንቆሙ፡ ለእጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ በሠናይትኒ፡ ወበእኪትኒ።
他必在尊貴人中間供職，又在官長面前出現；他遍歷異邦之地，因他已試驗了人間的善與惡。
He will serve among great men, And appear before him that rules: He will travel through the land of strange nations; For he has tried good things and evil among men.
39:5
ወሜጠ፡ ልቦ፡ ከመ፡ ይጊሥ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ፈጣሪሁ፤ወ(ከመ፡)፡ ይጼሊ፡ ቅድመ፡ ልዑል፡ ወይከሥት፡ [አፉሁ]፡ ወይስእል፡ ወይትጋነይ፡ እንበይነ፡ ኀጢአቱ።
他必專心清晨尋求那造他的主，又在至高者面前祈求；他必開口禱告，並為自己的罪懇求。
He will apply his heart to resort early to the Lord that made him, And will make supplication before the Most High, And will open his mouth in prayer, And will make supplication for his sins.
39:6
ወእመሰ፡ ፈቀደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘዐቢይ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወመልአ፡ ሎቱ፡ መንፈሰ፡ ጥበብ፡ ላዕሌሁ፡ ወውእቱ፡ ያነቅዕ፡ ቃለ፡ ጥበቢሁ፡ [ለሊሁ]፡ ወበጸሎት፡ ይገኒ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
大主若願意，他必被明達之靈充滿；他必如雨般傾倒智慧的言語，又在禱告中向主稱謝。
If the great Lord will, He shall be filled with the spirit of understanding: He shall pour forth the words of his wisdom, And in prayer give thanks to the Lord.
39:7
ወውእቱ፡ ያረትዕ፡ ሎቱ፡ ምክረ፡ ወጥበበ፡ ወያኄልዮ፡ ዘኅቡእ፡ ያእምር።
主必引導他的計謀與知識，他也必默想主隱藏的奧祕。
He shall direct his counsel and knowledge, And in his secrets shall he meditate.
39:8
ወውእቱ፡ ያርኢ፡ ጥበበ፡ ትምህርቱ፡ ወይትሜካሕ፡ በሕገ፡ ኪዳኑ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
他必闡明所受的教訓，又以主約的律法為誇耀。
He shall show forth the instruction which he has been taught, And shall glory in the law of the covenant of the Lord.
39:9
ወብዙኃን፡ ይዌድስዎ፡ እንበይነ፡ ጥበቢሁ፡ ወኢይደመሰስ፡ ለዓለም፡ ወኢይጠፍእ፡ ዝክሩ፡ ወይቀውም፡ ስሙ፡ ለትውልደ፡ ትውልድ።
許多人必稱讚他的聰明，他的名直到永遠也不被塗抹；他的記念必不止息，他的名必存到萬代。
Many shall commend his understanding; And so long as the world endures, it shall not be blotted out: His memorial shall not depart, And his name shall live from generation to generation.
39:10
ወይትናገሩ፡ አሕዛብ፡ በጥበቢሁ፡ ወይዌድስዎ፡ በማእከለ፡ ማኅበር።
列國必傳揚他的智慧，會眾必述說對他的讚美。
Nations shall declare his wisdom, And the congregation shall tell out his praise.
39:11
ወይኄይስ፡ ቀዊመ፡ ስሙ፡ እምነ፡ ፲፻፡ ወእምድኅረ፡ ሞተኒ፡ ጽኑዕ፡ ግብሩ።
他若存活，所留的名超過千人；他若安息，這名也使他有餘。
If he continue, he shall leave a greater name than a thousand: And if he die, he adds thereto.
39:12
ወዓዲ፡ እኄሊ፡ ወእነግር፤….።
我還要再思想而後述說，因我充滿如月圓一般。
Yet more will I utter, which I have thought upon; And I am filled as the moon at the full.
39:13
ስምዑኒ፡ ውሉደ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ወሥረጹ፡ ወከመ፡ ይጸጊ፡ ጽጌ፡ በውስተ፡ ጠለ፡ ገዳም፡ ጽገዩ።
虔敬的兒女啊，你們要聽我，如同栽在溪水旁的玫瑰一般發芽生長；
Hearken to me, you⌃ holy children, And bud forth as a rose growing by a brook of water:
39:14
ወከመ፡ መዐዛ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ከማሁ፡ ይጥዐም፡ መዐዛክሙ፡ ወአብቊሉ፡ ፍሬክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ጽጌ፡ ረዳ፡ ወአጥዕሙ፡ ወዐዛክሙ፡ ወሰብሑ፡ ማሕሌቶ፡ ወባርክዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ በኵሉ፡ ምግባሩ።
你們要如乳香般發出馨香，要像百合花開放，散發香氣；要歌唱頌讚，為主一切的作為稱頌主。
And give you⌃ a sweet savor as frankencense, And put forth flowers as a lily, Spread abroad a sweet smell, and sing a song of praise; Bless you⌃ the Lord for all his works.
39:15
ወአዕብይዎ፡ ለስሙ፡ ወግነዩ፡ ሎቱ፡ ለስብሐቲሁ፡ በ፲፻ማሕሌት፡ ወበመሰንቆ፡ ወከመዝ፡ በሉ፡ ሶበ፡ ትሴብሕዎ።
要將尊大歸與祂的名，以歌唱和琴瑟頌讚祂，承認祂；你們要在頌讚中這樣說：
Magnify his name, And give utterance to his praise With the songs of your lips, and with harps; And thus shall you⌃ say when you⌃ utter his praise:
39:16
ዐቢይ፡ ግብሩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወፈድፋደ፡ ሠናይ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ሥርዐቱ፡ ዘበዕድሜሁ።
主一切的作為盡都美好，祂一切的吩咐都按時成就。沒有人能說：「這是甚麼？這有何用處？」因為萬事到了時候必被尋出。
All the works of the Lord are exceeding good, And every command shall be accomplished in his season.
39:17
ወአልቦ፡ ከመ፡ ይበሉ፡ ለምንትኑ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ወለምንትኑ፡ ዝክቱ፡ ወኵሉ፡ በጊዜሁ፡ ይትፈቀድ፡ አቀሞ፡ ለማይ፡ ከመ፡ አረፍት፡ በቃሉ፤….።
祂一發話，水便立住如壘；祂口中一出令，水便聚於庫房。
None can say, What is this? wherefore is that? For in his season they shall all be sought out. At his word the waters stood as a heap, And the receptacles of waters at the word of his mouth.
39:19
ወቅድሜሁ፡ ውእቱ፡ ግብረ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘነፍስ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይክል፡ ተኀብኦ፡ እምውድመ፡ አዕይንቲሁ።
凡血肉之軀的作為都在祂面前，沒有甚麼能向祂的眼目隱藏。
The works of all flesh are before him; And it is not possible to be hid from his eyes.
39:20
እምቅድመ፡ ይትፈጠር፡ ዓለም፡ ወእስከ፡ ለዓለም፡ ኵሎ፡ አእመረ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ምንትኒ፡ ነኪር፡ በቅድሜሁ።
祂從亙古直到永遠都鑒察；在祂面前沒有甚麼希奇之事。
He sees from everlasting to everlasting; And there is nothing wonderful before him.
39:21
ወአልቦ፡ ዘይክል፡ ይበል፡ ለምንትኑ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ወለምንትኑ፡ ዝክቱ፡ እስመ፡ ኵሉ፡ መፍቅዶሙ፡ ተፈጥረ።
沒有人能說：「這是甚麼？這有何用處？」因為萬物都是為各自的用途而造的。
None can say, What is this? wherefore is that? For all things are created for their uses.
39:22
ወበረከቱኒ፡ ከመ፡ ማየ፡ ተከዜ፡ መልአት፡ ወከመ፡ ማየ፡ አይኅ፡ [አርወየታ፡]ለምድር።
祂的祝福如江河漫過全地，又如洪水浸透旱地。
His blessing covered the dry land as a river, And saturated it as a flood.
39:23
ወከማሁ፡ መዐቱኒ፡ ከፈለቶሙ፡ ለአሕዛብ።
祂怎樣使眾水變為鹹苦，列國也照樣要承受祂的忿怒。
As he has turned the waters into saltness; So shall the heathen inherit his wrath.
39:24
ርቱዕ፡ ፍናዊሁ፡ ለጻድቅ፡ ወለኃጥእሰ፡ ዕቅፍት፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘሜጦ፡ ለማይ፡ ወረሰዮ፡ ጼወ።
祂的道路對虔敬的人是平直的，對不法的人卻成了絆腳之物。
His ways are plain to the holy; So are they stumbling blocks to the wicked.
39:25
ሠናይት፡ ለሠናያት፡ ተፈጥረት፡ እምትካት፡ ወከማሁ፡ እኪትኒ፡ ለኃጥኣን።
美物從起初就是為善人而造的，照樣，禍患也是為罪人而設的。
Good things are created from the beginning for the good; So are evil things for sinners.
39:26
ቀዳሜ፡ ኵሉ፡ መፍቅዱ፡ ለሰብእ፡ ማይ፡ ወእሳት፡ ወኀጺን፡ ወጼው፡ ወእክል፡ ሥርናይ፡ ወመዓር፡ ወሐሊብ፡ ደመ፡ አስካል፡ ወቅብእ፡ ወልብስ።
人生活最需要的，乃是水、火、鐵、鹽、麥子的細麵、奶、蜜、葡萄汁、油和衣裳。
The chief of all things necessary for the life of man Are water, and fire, and iron, and salt, And flour of wheat, and honey, and milk, The blood of the grape, and oil, and clothing.
39:27
ዝንቱ፡ ኵሉ፡ በረከቶሙ፡ ለጻድቃን፡ ወከማሁ፡ ለኃጥኣን፡ ይትመየጦሙ፡ በእኩይ።
這一切對虔敬的人都化為美善，照樣對罪人卻變為禍患。
All these things are for good to the godly; So to the sinners they shall be turned into evil.
39:28
ወቦ፡ መንፈስ፡ ለተበቅሎ፡ ተፈጥረት፡ ወበመንሱቶሙ፡ ያዐብይዋ፡ ለመቅሠፍቶሙ፡ ወበዕድሜሆሙ፡ ይዘረው፡ ኀይሎሙ፡ ወመቅሠፍተ፡ ፈጣሪሆሙ፡ ይቀርቦሙ።
有些風是為施行報應而造的，主在烈怒中堅立它們作刑罰的鞭子；到了結局的時候，它們傾倒能力，平息那造它們者的忿怒。
There be winds that are created for vengeance, And in their fury lay on their scourges heavily; In the time of consummation they pour out their strength, And shall appease the wrath of him that made them.
39:29
እሳት፡ ወበረድ፡ ወረኃብ፡ ወብድብድ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ለተበቅሎ፡ ተፈጥረ።
火、雹、饑荒、瘟疫，這一切都是為施行報應而造的；
Fire, and hail, and famine, and death, All these are created for vengeance;
39:30
ስነነ፡ አራዊተ፡ ምድር፡ ወዐቃርብት፡ ወአፍዖት፡ ወኲናት፡ ከመ፡ ትሠርዎሙ፡ ለኃጥኣን።
野獸的牙齒、蠍子、毒蛇，以及那刑罰惡人、使之滅亡的刀劍。
Teeth of wild beasts, and scorpions and adders, And a sword punishing the ungodly to destruction.
39:31
ወውእቱሰ፡[ያስተፌሥሕ፡]በሣህሉ፡ ወያስተዴሉ፡ ለዓለም፡ መፍቅደ፡ ወኵሉ፡ እምከመ፡ በጽሐ፡ ዕድሜሁ፡ ወኮነ፡ ጊዜሁ፡ የኀልቅ፡ ሶቤ[ሃ]።
它們在祂的命令下歡然遵行，在地上需用時就預備妥當；到了時候，總不違背祂的話。
They shall rejoice in his commandment, And shall be made ready upon earth, when need is; And in their seasons they shall not transgress his word.
39:32
እንበይነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ እምፍጥረቱ፡ ተሠርዐ፡ ኵሉ፡ ወኀለይክዎ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ወለካእክዎ፡ ውስተ፡ መጽሐፍ።
因此，我從起初就堅定不移，思想這一切，並把它記在書上。
Therefore from the beginning I was resolved, And I thought this, and left it in writing;
39:33
እስመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ግብሩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ሠናይ፡ ወይሁብ፡ ለሰብእ፡ ኵሉ፡ መፍቅዶ፡ በበጊዜሁ።
主一切的作為盡都美善；祂必按時供應一切所需。
All the works of the Lord are good: And he will supply every need in its season.
39:34
ወአልቦ፡ ዘይብሎ፡ ዘንተሰ፡ እኩየ፡ ፈጠርከ፡ ወዝክተሰ፡ አሠነይከ፡ እስመ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ዕለቱ፡[ይንእዶ]።
沒有人能說：「這比那更壞。」因為到了時候，這一切都必顯為美好。
And none can say, This is worse than that: For they shall all be well approved in their season.
39:35
ወይእዜኒ፡ በኵሉ፡ ልብክሙ፡ ወበአፉክሙ፡ ሰብሕዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወባርኩ፡ ለስሙ፡ በኵሉ፡ ጊዜ።
現在你們要全心、全口歌唱頌讚，並稱頌主的名。
And now with all your heart and mouth sing you⌃ praises, And bless the name of the Lord.
