17:1
እግዚአብሔር፡ ፈጠሮሙ፡ ለእጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ እምነ፡ ምድር፡ ወካዕበ፡ ያገብኦ፡ ውስቴታ።
主從塵土造了人，又使他歸回塵土。
The Lord created man of the earth, And turned him back to it again.
17:2
ወወሀቦሙ፡ ዓመተ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ኍልቊ፡ ወአኰነኖሙ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘውስቴታ።
他賜給他們有限的日子和定期，又賜給他們權柄管理地上的萬物。
He gave them days by number, and a set time, And gave them authority over the things that are thereon.
17:3
ወአልበሶሙ፡ ኀይለ፡ ዘዘዚአሆሙ፡ ወበአምሳለ፡ ዚአሁ፡ ገብሮሙ።
他照自己的樣式賜他們力量，照自己的形像造了他們。
He endued them with strength proper to them; And made them according to his own image.
17:4
ወገብረ፡ ሎሙ፡ ይፍርህዎሙ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘነፍስ፡ ወይቅንይዎሙ፡ ለአራዊት፡ ወለአዕዋፍ።
他使一切血肉之軀都懼怕人，又使人管轄走獸飛鳥。
He put the fear of man upon all flesh, And gave him to have dominion over beasts and fowls.
17:6
ወወሀቦሙ፡ ቃለ፡ ወልሳነ፡ ወዐይነ፡ ወእዝነ፡ ወልበ፡ በዘ፡ ይኄልዩ።
他賜給他們思慮、舌頭、眼睛、耳朵和心，使他們能領悟。
Counsel, and tongue, and eyes, Ears, and heart, gave he them to understand withal.
17:7
አእምሮ፡ ጥበብ፡ አጽገቦሙ፡ ወአርአዮሙ፡ እኪተኒ፡ ወሠናይተኒ።
他以智慧的知識充滿他們，將善與惡指示他們。
He filled them with the knowledge of wisdom, And showed them good and evil.
17:8
ወወደየ፡ ውስተ፡ ልቦሙ፡ ፍርሀተ፡ ከመ፡ ያርእዮሙ፡ ዕበየ፡ ግብሩ።
他把眼目放在他們心上，向他們顯明他作為的尊大。
He set his eye upon their hearts, To show them the majesty of his works.
17:9
ከመ፡ ይትናገሩ፡ በዕበየ፡ ግብሩ።
他將訓誨加給他們，又使他們承受生命的律法為產業。
He added to them discipline, and gave them the law of life for an inheritance.
17:10
ከመ፡ ይሰብሕዎ፡ ለስሙ፡ ቅዱስ፤
他們要頌讚他至聖的名，好叫他們述說他作為的尊大。
And they will praise the name of his holiness, That they may declare the majesty of his works.
17:11
ወወሀቦሙ፡ ጥበበ፡ ወሕገ፡ ዘያሐይዎሙ፡ አውረሶሙ።
他將知識加給他們，又賜給他們生命的律法為基業。
He added to them knowledge, And gave them a law of life for a heritage.
17:12
ኪዳነ፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ተካየዶሙ፡ ወነገሮሙ፡ ኵነኔሁ።
他與他們立永遠的約，將他的典章指示他們。
He made an everlasting covenant with them, And showed them his judgements.
17:13
ወቃለ፡ ስብሐቲሁ፡ ሰምዐት፡ እዝኖመጁ።
他們親眼看見他榮耀的尊大，親耳聽見他聲音的榮耀。
Their eyes saw the majesty of his glory; And their ear heard the glory of his voice.
17:14
ወአዘዞሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ በእንተ፡ ቢጾሙ።
他對他們說：『要遠避一切不義』，又吩咐他們各人善待自己的鄰舍。
And he said to them, Beware of all unrighteousness; And he gave them commandment, each man concerning his neighbor.
17:15
ወቅድሜሁ፡ ፍናዊሆሙ፡ በኵሉ፡ ጊዜ፡ ወአልቦሙ፡ ኀበ፡ ይትኀብኡ፡ እምነ፡ አዕይንቲሁ።
他們的道路常在他面前，總不能從他眼前隱藏。
Their ways are ever before him; They will not be hid from his eyes.
17:17
ወለኵሎሙ፡ አሕዛበ፡ ሤመ፡ ሎሙ፡ ነገሥተ፡ ወእስራኤል፡ ኮነ፡ ክፍለ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
他為各國立了治理者，惟有以色列是主的分。
For every nation he appointed a ruler; And Israel is the Lord’s portion.
17:19
ወኵሉ፡ ግብሮሙ፡ ከመ፡ ፀሐይ፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ ወአዕይንቲሁ፡ ዘልፈ፡ ይኔጽራ፡ ፍናዊሆሙ።
他們一切的作為都如同日光顯在他面前，他的眼目也不住地察看他們的道路。
All their works are as the sun before him; And his eyes are continually upon their ways.
17:20
ወኢይትኀባእ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ጌጋዮሙ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
他們的不義不能向他隱藏，他們一切的罪都在主面前。
Their iniquities are not hid from him; And all their sins are before the Lord.
17:22
ምጽዋቱ፡ ለሰብእ፡ ከመ፡ ማኅተም፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ዕሴቱ፡ ለሰብእ፡ ከመ፡ ብንተ፡ ዐይን፡ ትትዐቀብ፡ ሎቱ።
在他那裡，人的施捨如同印記，他必保守人的恩惠如同眼中的瞳人。
With him the alms of a man is as a signet; And he will keep the bounty of a man as the apple of the eye.
17:23
ወድኅረ፡ ይትመየጦ፡ ወየዐስዮ፡ ወፍዳ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ፡ ያገብእ፡ ላዕለ፡ ርእሶሙ።
此後他必興起施行報應，將他們的報應歸到他們頭上。
Afterwards he will rise up and recompense them, And render their recompense upon their head.
17:24
ወባሕቱ፡ ወሀቦሙ፡ ፍኖተ፡ በዘ፡ ይኔስሑ፡ ወያስፌሥሖሙ፡ ለእለ፡ ቀብጹ፡ ተስፋሆሙ።
然而對悔改的人，他賜下回轉之路，並安慰那些失去忍耐的人。
Howbeit to those who repent he granteth a return; And he comforteth those who are losing patience.
17:25
ተመየጥ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወ[ኅድጋ፡ ለኀጢአት]፤ተጋነይ፡ ቅድሜሁ፡ ወነስሕ፡ አበሳከ።
你要歸向主，撇棄罪惡；要在他面前祈求，減少你的過犯。
Return to the Lord, and forsake sins: Make your prayer before his face, and lessen the offence.
17:26
ወግባእ፡ ኀበ፡ ልዑል፡ ወተመየጥ፡ እምነ፡ ዐመፃ፡ ወጽላእ፡ ኵሎ፡ ርኩስ፡[ፈድፋደ]።
你要回轉歸向至高者，遠離不義，極其憎惡可憎之事。
Turn again to the Most High, and turn away from iniquity; And greatly hate the abominable thing.
17:27
መኑ፡ ይሴብሖ፡ ለልዑል፡ በመቃብር፡ ከመ፡ ሕያዋን፡ እለ፡ ይትጋነዩ፡ ሎቱ።
在陰間，誰能代替活人向至高者獻上頌讚與感謝呢？
Who will give praise to the Most High in the grave, Instead of them which live and return thanks?
17:28
ወለዘ፡ሞተሰ፡ወኢከመ፡ ምንትሂ፡ ንስሓ፡ ኀለፎ፡ በሕይወትከ፡ እንዘ፡ ትትፌሣሕ፡ ሰብሖ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
死人的感謝已歸於無有，如同已不存在；惟有活著健康的人才能頌讚主。
Thanksgiving perishes from the dead, as from one that is not: He that is in life and health will praise the Lord.
17:29
እስመ፡ ዐቢይ፡ ምሕረቱ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወይሣሀሎሙ፡ ለእለ፡ ይትጋነዩ፡ ሎቱ።
主的憐憫何等浩大，他向歸向他之人的赦免又是何等廣大！
How great is the mercy of the Lord, And his forgiveness to those who turn to him!
17:30
እስመ፡ ኢይክል፡ ኵሎ፡ ከዊነ፡ እጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ እስመ፡ መዋቲ፡ ውእቱ፡ እጓለ፡ እመሕያው።
因為人不能擁有一切，畢竟人子並非不朽。
For all things can’t be in men, Because the son of man is not immortal.
17:31
ምን[ት]፡ ይበርህ፡ እምነ፡ ፀሓይ፡ ወውእቱሂ፡ ይጠፍእ፡ ወእኩየ፡ ይኄሊ፡ ዘሥጋ፡ ወደም።
有什麼比日頭更明亮？這日頭尚且要虧蝕；血肉之軀更要思想邪惡。
What is brighter than the sun? yet this fails: And an evil man will think on flesh and blood.
17:32
ወውእቱሰ፡[ኢ]ያአምር፡ ኀይለ፡ ልዕልና፡ ሰማያት፡ ወእጓለ፡ እመሕያውሰ፡ ኵሉ፡ ሐመድ፡ ወመሬት፡ ውእቱ።
他鑒察天上至高的能力，眾人卻不過是塵土與灰燼。
He looks upon the power of the height of heaven: And all men are earth and ashes.
