34:1

ለሠናይ፡ ልብ፡ ወለጥዑም፡ እክል፡ ኢይሜንንዎ። ትጋሁ፡ ለብዕል፡ ያቋቊዕ፡ አዕፅምተ፡ ወነፍስተ፡ ወኀልዮ፡ ንዋይ፡ ያሰርር፡ ንዋመ።

虛妄虛假的指望是給無知人的；夢境使愚昧人飄飄然如同生了翅膀。

Vain and false hopes are for a man void of understanding; And dreams give wings to fools.

34:2

ወኀልዎ፡ ዘይትሐዘብ፡ ያኀልቅ፡ ንዋመ፡ በድቃስ፡ ክቡድ፡ ሕማም፡ ያተግህ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ንዋም።

如同抓影子、追風一般，留心於夢境的人也是如此。

As one that catches at a shadow, and follows after the wind, So is he that sets his mind on dreams.

34:3

የዐውድ፡ ባዕል፡ ከመ፡ ይዝግብ፡ ንዋየ፡ ወእንተ፡ ጊዜ፡ ያዐርፍኒ፡ ይፈግዕ፡ በጽጋብ።

夢境的異象，不過是這個對那個的映照，如同面對面的影像。

The vision of dreams is as this thing against that, The likeness of a face near a face.

34:4

ይሰርሕ፡ ነዳይ፡ በኀጢአ፡ ንዋይ፡ ወሶበ፡ እምአዕረፈኒ፡ ይገብእ፡ ውስተ፡ [ስኢ]ል።

從不潔之物，怎能得潔淨呢？從虛謊之中，怎能有真實呢？

Of an unclean thing what shall be cleansed? And of that which is false what shall be true?

34:5

ኢይጸድቅ፡ ዘያፈቅር፡ ንዋየ፡ ወዘያፈቅራ፡ ለኀጢአት፡ ይተልዋ።

占卜、預兆和夢境都是虛空的；人心如同臨產婦人一般在那裡幻想。

Divinations, and soothsayings, and dreams, are vain: And the heart fancies, as a woman’s in travail.

34:6

ብዙኃን፡ እለ፡ ወድቁ፡ እንበይነ፡ ንዋይ፡ ወርእይዎ፡ ለሞቶሙ፡ ቅድመ፡ ገጾሙ።

除非是至高者在眷顧時差來的，否則不要把你的心放在這些事上。

If they be not sent from the Most High in your visitation, Give not your heart to them.

34:7

ዕፀ፡ እቅፍት፡ ይእቲ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ የኀሥሥዋ፡ ወኵሉ፡ አብድ፡ ይትዐቀፍ፡ ቦቱ።

因為夢境曾使許多人走迷了路；那些指望它們的，都跌倒失敗了。

For dreams have led many astray: And they have failed by putting their hope in them.

34:8

ብፁዕ፡ ባዕል፡ ዘንጹሕ፡ እምኀጢአት፡ ወዘኢያትለወ፡ ልቦ፡ ድኅረ፡ ንዋይ።

律法的成全，不藉虛謊；智慧對信實的口，乃是完全。

Without lying shall the law be accomplished; And wisdom is perfection to a faithful mouth.

34:9

መኑ፡ እንጋ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወናስተበፅዖ፡ ዘገብረ፡ ሠናየ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝቡ።

曾經歷歷練的人，知道許多事；閱歷豐富的人，必講論明達。

A well-instructed man knows many things; And he that has much experience will declare understanding.
