4:1
ወልድየ፡ ኢትክልዖ፡ ለነዳይ፡ ሕይወቶ፡ ወኢትሚጥ፡ አዕይንቲከ፡ እምዘይስእለከ።
我兒，不可奪去窮人的生計，也不可讓困苦人的眼目久候。
My son, deprive not the poor of his living, And make not the needy eyes to wait long.
4:2
ወኢታሕምም፡ ነፍሰ፡ ርኅብተ፡ ወኢታምዕዕ፡ ብእሴ፡ ሕዙነ።
不可使飢餓的人愁苦，不可激怒處於窮乏中的人。
Make not a hungry soul sorrowful; Neither provoke a man in his distress.
4:3
ወኢታደንግፅ፡ ልበ፡ ትኩዘ፡ ወኢትትኀለፎ፡ ለዘይስእለከ።
對於已被激怒的心，不可再添煩擾；對於窮乏求告的人，不可遲延施與。
To a heart that is provoked add not more trouble; And defer not to give to him that is in need.
4:4
ወኢትትቈጣዕ፡ ነባሪከ፡ ዘይትቀነይ፡ ለከ፡ ወኢትሚጥ፡ ገጸከ፡ እምነ፡ ነዳይ።
不可拒絕受苦的懇求者，也不可向窮人轉臉不顧。
Reject not a suppliant in his affliction; And turn not away your face from a poor man.
4:5
ወእምነ፡ ዘይስእለከ፡ ኢትሚጥ፡ ዐይነከ፡ ወኢተሀቦ፡ ምክንያተ፡ በዘይረግመከ።
不可向求告你的人轉眼不看，免得給人留下咒詛你的把柄。
Turn not away your eye from one that asks of you, And give none occasion to a man to curse you:
4:6
እስመ፡ ለእመ፡ ረገመከ፡ በምረተ፡ ነፍሱ፡ ይሰምዖ፡ ፈጣሪሁ፡ ጸሎቶ።
因為他若在心靈愁苦中咒詛你，那造他的必垂聽他的祈求。
For if he curse you in the bitterness of his soul, He that made him will hear his supplication.
4:7
ተፋቀር፡ በኀበ፡ ብዙኃን፡ ወተፀመድ፡ በኀበ፡ መኳንንት፡ ወኢተዕቢ፡ ርእሰከ።
當使會眾喜愛你，在尊大的人面前要俯首謙卑。
Get yourself the love of the congregation; And to a great man bow your head.
4:8
ወለነዳይ፡ አጽምዖ፡ በእዝንከ፡ ወአውሥኦ፡ ሠናየ፡ ቃለ፡ በየውሃት።
當側耳聽窮人的訴說，以溫柔的言語平和地回答他。
Incline your ear to a poor man, And answer him with peaceful words in meekness.
4:9
ወአድኅኖ፡ ለግፉዕ፡ እምእደ፡ ገፋዒሁ፡ ወኢትትሀከይ፡ ኰንኖቶ።
當從欺壓者的手中拯救受冤屈的人；你施行判斷時，不可灰心膽怯。
Deliver him that is wronged from the hand of him that wrongeth him; And be not faint-hearted in giving judgement.
4:10
ኵኖ፡ ለዕጓለ፡ ማውታ፡ ከመ፡ አቡሁ፡ ወቁም፡ ላቲ፡ ለእሙ፡ ከመ፡ ምታ፡ ወትከውን፡ ከመ፡ ውሉደ፡ ልዑል፡ ወያፈቅረከ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ እምነ፡ እምከ።
要作孤兒的父親，作他們母親的丈夫；如此，你就必如至高者的兒子，祂愛你必勝過你的母親。
Be as a father to the fatherless, And instead of a husband to their mother: So will you be as a son of the Most High, And he will love you more than your mother does.
4:11
ጥበብሰ፡ አዕበየቶሙ፡ ለደቂቃ፡ ወትትዌከፎሙ፡ ለእለ፡ የኀሥሥዋ።
智慧高舉她的眾子，扶持尋求她的人。
Wisdom exalts her sons, And takes hold of those who seek her.
4:12
ዘኪያሃ፡ አፍቀረ፡ አፍቀረ፡ ሕይወቶ፡ ወዘይገይስ፡ ኀቤሃ፡ ይጸግብ፡ ትፍሥሕተ።
愛智慧的，就是愛生命；清早殷勤尋求她的，必滿得歡欣。
He that loves her loves life; And those who seek to her early will be filled with gladness.
4:13
ወዘያጸንዓ፡ ይወርስ፡ ክብረ፡ ወኀበ፡ ቦአት፡ ይእቲ፡ ይባርክ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
持守智慧的，必承受榮耀；他所到之處，主必賜福。
He that holds her fast will inherit glory; And where he enters, the Lord will bless.
4:14
እለ፡ ኪያሃ፡ ተፀምዱ፡ ተፀምድዎ፡ ለቅዱስ፡ ወለእለ፡ ያፈቅርዋ፡ ያፈቅሮሙ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
事奉智慧的，乃是服事那聖者；愛智慧的，主也必愛他。
They that do her service will minister to the Holy One; And those who love her the Lord does love.
4:15
ወዘይሰምዓ፡ ላቲ፡ ይኴንን፡ አሕዛበ፡ ወዘያጸምዓ፡ ላቲ፡ ይነብር፡ ተአምኖ።
聽從智慧的，必審判列國；留意她的，必安然居住。
He that gives ear to her will judge the nations; And he that gives heed to her will dwell securely.
4:16
ለእመ፡ ትትአመና፡ ትረክባ፡ ወተዐብየከ፡ በመዋዕሊከ።
人若信靠智慧，必承受她為業；他的世代也必得她為產業。
If he trust her, he will inherit her; And his generations will have her in possession.
4:17
ወትቀድም፡ ትሑር፡ ምስሌሁ፡ እንዘ፡ ታፈርሆ፡ ወትጌርሞ፡ ወታደነግፆ፡ ወትቀሥፎ፡ ወትሜህሮ፡ እስከ፡ ታገርራ፡ ለነፍሱ፡ ወታሜክሮ፡ በተግሣጽ።
因為起初她要在他身上行迂曲之路，使懼怕與驚惶臨到他，用她的管教折磨他，直到她能信託他的魂，憑她的法則試驗他；
For at the first she will walk with him in crooked ways, And will bring fear and dread upon him, And torment him with her discipline, Until she may trust his soul, and try him by her judgements:
4:18
ወእም፡ ዝ፡ ካዕበ፡ ትትቄበሎ፡ ወታስተፌሥሖ፡ ወትከሥት፡ ሎቱ፡ ምክራ።
然後她必轉回，以正直待他，使他歡欣，向他顯明自己隱密的事。
Then will she return again the straight way to him, And will gladden him, and reveal to him her secrets.
4:19
ወእመሰ፡ ስሕተ፡ እምኔሃ፡ ተኀድጎ፡ ወታገብኦ፡ ውስተ፡ ዘያወድቆ።
他若偏行迷路，她必離棄他，把他交在自取敗亡的手中。
If he go astray, she will forsake him, And give him over to his fall.
4:20
ወተዐቀብ፡ ጊዜሁ፡ ወዑቅ፡ ለእመሂ፡ እኩይ፡ ወኢታድሉ፡ በኀፊር፡ በእንተ፡ ነፍስከ።
要看準時機，謹防邪惡；論到你的魂，不可以為羞。
Observe the opportunity, and beware of evil; And be not ashamed concerning your soul.
4:21
እስመ፡ ቦ፡ ዘበኀፍረት፡ ይገብር፡ ኀጢአተ፡ ወቦ፡ ዘበኀፍረት፡ ይገብር፡ ጽድቀ፡ ወይረክብ፡ ሞገሰ።
因為有一種羞愧招致罪愆，也有一種羞愧帶來榮耀與恩典。
For there is a shame that brings sin; And there is a shame that is glory and grace.
4:22
ወኢታድሉ፡ ለገጽ፡ እንዘ፡ ላዕለ፡ ነፍስከ፡ ይበጽሐከ፡ ወኢትኅፈር፡ ከመ፡ ታውድቅ፡ ነፍሰከ።
不可徇情面而違背自己的魂，也不可因敬重人而自取敗亡。
Accept not the person of any against your soul; And reverence no man to your falling.
4:23
ወኢትክልኦ፡ ነቢበ፡ ቃሉ፡ ለዘይትናገር፡ እስመ፡ እምቃሉ፡ ይትዐወቅ፡ ጥበቢሁ፡ ወትምህርቱ፡ እምቃለ፡ ንባቡ።
在需要的時刻，不可緘默不言，也不可為了體面而隱藏你的智慧。
Refrain not speech, when it tendeth to safety; And hide not your wisdom for the sake of fair-seeming.
4:24
ኢትትከሀድ፡ በእንተ፡ ጽድቅ፡ ወተጋነይ፡ በእንተ፡ ዘስሕትከ።
因為智慧藉言語得以彰顯，教誨藉舌頭的話語得以傳揚。
For by speech wisdom will be known; And instruction by the word of the tongue.
4:25
ወኢትኅፈር፡ ነጊረ፡ ጌጋይከ፡ ወኢትትሀየል፡ ውሒዘ፡ ፈለግ።
不可違背真理，要為自己的無知而慚愧。
Speak not against the truth; And be abashed for your ignorance.
4:26
ወኢታትሕት፡ ርእሰከ፡ ለብእሲ፡ አብድ፡ ወኢታድሉ፡ ለገጸ፡ ዐቢይ።
承認自己的罪不可以為恥，也不可強逆江河的急流。
Be not ashamed to make confession of your sins; And force not the current of the river.
4:27
እስከ፡ ትበጽሕ፡ ለሞት፡ ተበዓስ፡ በእንተ፡ ጽድቅ፡ እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላክከ፡ ይትበአስ፡ በእንቲኣከ።
不可俯伏甘讓愚昧人踐踏，也不可徇有權勢者的情面。
Lay not yourself down for a fool to tread upon; And accept not the person of one that is mighty.
4:28
ወኢትኩን፡ ዝሉፈ፡ በአፉከ፡ ወኢትጸመም፡ ተግባረከ።
當為真理爭戰至死，主神必為你爭戰。
Strive for the truth to death, and the Lord God will fight for you.
4:29
ወኢትትዓርወይ፡ ከመ፡ አንበሳ፡ በውስተ፡ ቤትከ፡ ወኢታደንግፅ፡ ነባሬከ፡ ዘበጽድቅ፡ ይትቀነይ፡ ለከ።
不可在言語上輕率魯莽，也不可在行事上懶惰怠慢。
Be not hasty in your tongue, And in your deeds slack and remiss.
4:30
ወኢትሰፋሕ፡ እዴከ፡ ለተለቅሖ፡ ወሶበ፡ ለፈድይ፡ ኢትግባዕ፡ ትኅባዕ፡ የማነከ።
不可在家中如獅子般兇暴，也不可向僕婢逞威作勢。
Be not as a lion in your house, Nor fanciful among your servants.
