3:1
ሊተ፡ ለአቡክሙ፡ ስምዑኒ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ወከመዝ፡ ግበሩ፡ ከመ፡ ትሕየዉ።
我的兒女啊，你們當聽我這作父親的，照著去行，使你們得以蒙拯救。
Hear me your father, O my children, And do thereafter, that you⌃ may be saved.
3:2
እስመ፡ አክበረ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አበ፡ ላዕለ፡ ውሉድ፡ ወአዕበየ፡ ኵነኔሃ፡ ለእም፡ ላዕለ፡ ደቂቃ።
因為主使父親在兒女面前得尊榮，又堅立母親管教眾子的權柄。
For the Lord has given the father glory as touching the children, And has confirmed the judgement of the mother as touching the sons.
3:3
ዘያከብር፡ አባሁ፡ ይትኀደግ፡ ሎቱ፡ ኀጢአቱ።
孝敬父親的，必為自己的罪贖愆。
He that honors his father will make atonement for sins:
3:4
ወከመ፡ ዘይዘግብ፡ መዝገበ፡ ዘያከብራ፡ ለእሙ።
尊榮母親的，就如積蓄財寶的人。
And he that gives glory to his mother is as one that lays up treasure.
3:5
ዘያከብር፡ አባሁ፡ ይትፌሣሕ፡ በውሉዱ፡ ወበዕለተ፡ ጸሎቱ፡ ይሰምዖ፡ ፈጣሪሁ።
孝敬父親的，必因兒女而歡喜；他祈禱的日子，必蒙垂聽。
Whoso honors his father will have joy of his children; And in the day of his prayer he will be heard.
3:6
ዘያከብር፡ አባሁ፡ ይነውኅ፡ መዋዕሊሁ።
尊榮父親的，必得長壽；聽從主的，必使母親得安慰。
He that gives glory to his father will have length of days; And he that hearkens to the Lord will bring rest to his mother,
3:7
ወዘይሰምዖ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ የአርፋ፡ ለእሙ።
他必服事生養他的，如同服事主人一般。
And will do service under his parents, as to masters.
3:8
ወከመ፡ አግብርቲሁ፡ ይትቀነይ፡ ለዘወለዶ።
當在言行上尊敬你的父親，好使他的祝福臨到你身上。
In deed and word honor your father, That a blessing may come upon you from him.
3:9
በቃልከኒ፡ ወበምግባሪከኒ፡ አክብሮ፡ ለአቡከ፡ ከመ፡ ትብጻሕከ፡ በረከቱ።
因為父親的祝福堅立兒女的家室，母親的咒詛卻拔出根基。
For the blessing of the father establishes the houses of children; But the curse of the mother roots out the foundations.
3:10
መድኅረ፡ አብ፡ ያጸንዕ፡ አብያተ፡ ውሉድ፡ ወመርገም፡ እም፡ ይሤሩ፡ መሠረተ።
不可因父親受羞辱而自以為榮，因為父親的羞辱於你並非榮耀。
Glorify not yourself in the dishonor of your father; For your father’s dishonor is no glory to you.
3:11
ኢትትመካሕ፡ በአስተሐቅሮቱ፡ ለአቡከ፡ እስመ፡ ኢይከውነከ፡ ምክሖ፡ አስተሐቅሮ፡ አቡከ፡ እስመ፡ በክብረ፡ አቡሁ፡ ይከብር፡ ሰብእ፡ ወኀሣሩ፡ ለሰብእ፡ አስተሐቅሮታ፡ ለእሙ።
人的榮耀來自父親的尊榮，母親的羞辱乃是兒女的恥辱。
For the glory of a man is from the honor of his father; And a mother in dishonor is a reproach to her children.
3:12
ወልድየ፡ ፁር፡ ርስዓኒሁ፡ ለአቡከ፡ ወኢታሕዝኖ፡ በሕይወቱ።
我兒，當在你父親年老時扶助他，他在世的日子，不可使他憂傷。
My son, help your father in his old age; And grieve him not as long as he lives.
3:13
ወእመኒ፡ ልህቀ፡ ወኀጥአ፡ ልቦ፡ ኦሆ፡ በሎ፡ ለግዕዙ፡ ወአክብሮ፡ በአምጣነ፡ ትክል፡ ወኢታስተአክዮ፡ በርስዓኑ፡ ለአቡከ፡ እስመ፡ ምጽዋቱ፡ ለአቡከ፡ ዕሤተ፡ ኢትትረሣዕ፡ ለከ።
他若失去了悟性，你要寬容他；當你正值壯年力盛之時，不可輕看他。
And if he fails in understanding, have patience with him; And dishonor him not while you are in your full strength.
3:14
ወህየንተ፡ ኀጢአት፡ ትትሐነጽ፡ ለከ፡ ጽድቅ።
因為你對父親所行的善行必不被忘記，反要代替你的罪，建立你的福分。
For the relieving of your father will not be forgotten: And instead of sins it will be added to build you up.
3:15
ወበዕለተ፡ ምንዳቤከ፡ ይዜከራ፡ ለከ፡ ከመ፡ ይመስዎ፡ ፀሓይ፡ ለበረድ፡ ከማሁ፡ ያትመሰዋ፡ ኃጣውኢከ።
在你患難的日子，這善行必記念你；你的罪必如冰上遇晴日，盡都消融。
In the day of your affliction it will remember you; As fair weather upon ice, So will your sins also melt away.
3:16
ጽሩፍ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘይገድፎ፡ ለአቡሁ፡ ወርጉም፡ ውእቱ፡ በኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘያምዕዓ፡ ለእሙ።
離棄父親的，如同褻瀆者；激怒母親的，必被主咒詛。
He that forsakes his father is as a blasphemer; And he that provoketh his mother is cursed of the Lord.
3:17
ወልድየ፡ በሃይማኖትከ፡ ያስተርኢ፡ ምግባሪከ፡ ወያፈቅሩከ፡ ዕደው፡ ጻድቃን።
我兒，當以溫柔行你的事務，必為蒙悅納之人所愛。
My son, go on with your business in meekness; So will you be beloved of an acceptable man.
3:18
በአምጣነ፡ ዕበይከ፡ ከማሁ፡ አትሕት፡ ርእሰከ፡ ወትረክብ፡ ዕሴተ፡ በኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
你越尊大，越當謙卑己身，就必在主面前蒙恩。
The greater you are, humble yourself the more, And you will find favor before the Lord.
3:20
እስመ፡ ዐቢይ፡ ግብሩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወይሴባሕ፡ በላዕለ፡ ትሑታን፡ ወቅዱሳን።
因為主的權能極大，祂卻被謙卑的人所榮耀。
For great is the potency of the Lord, And he is glorified of those who are lowly.
3:21
ኢትኅሥሥ፡ ዘይጸንዐከ፡ ወኢትሕትት፡ ዘኢይትከሃለከ፡ ሐሊ፡ ዳእሙ፡ ዘተአዘዝከ።
不要尋求過於你所能及的事，不要查究超乎你力量的事。
Seek not things that are too hard for you, And search not out things that are above your strength.
3:22
ወዘኅቡዕሰ፡ ኢያስተኀልፈከ።
凡所吩咐你的，當思想遵行，因為隱祕的事與你無關。
The things that have been commanded you, think thereupon; For you have no need of the things that are secret.
3:23
ወኢትኅሥሥ፡ በብዝኀ፡ ምግባሪከ፡ እስመ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ እምነ፡ ሰብእ፡ ዘአርአዩከ፡ ለከ።
不要在分外的事上多管閒事，因為向你顯明的，已超過人所能領會的。
Be not over busy in your superfluous works: For more things are showed to you than men can understand.
3:24
ወለብዙኃን፡ አስሐቶሙ፡ ትዝኅርቶሙ፡ ወለብዙኃን፡ አውደቆሙ፡ ትዕቢተ፡ ልቦሙ።
因為許多人被自己的妄想引入迷途，惡念使他們的判斷失足。
For the conceit of many has led them astray; And evil surmising has caused their judgement to slip.
3:26
ዘይፈትዋ፡ ለመንሱት፡ ባቲ፡ ይመውት፡ ልብ፡ እኩይ፡ ይደዊ፡ በደኃሪቱ።
剛硬的心，結局必受禍患；喜愛危險的，必死在其中。
A stubborn heart will fare ill at the last; And he that loves danger will perish therein.
3:27
ልብ፡ እኩይ፡ ይትቀሠፍ፡ በሕማም፡ ወኃጥእሰ፡ ይዌስክ፡ ኀጢአተ፡ በላዕለ፡ ኃጣውኢሁ።
剛硬的心，必被困苦壓沉；罪人必罪上加罪。
A stubborn heart will be laden with troubles; And the sinner will heap sin upon sin.
3:28
መንሱቶሙ፡ ለዕቡያን፡ አልባቲ፡ ፈውሰ፡ እስመ፡ እኩይ፡ ተክል፡ ገብረ፡ ሥርወ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ።
驕傲人的災禍無從醫治，因為惡的根苗已在他裡面紮根。
The calamity of the proud is no healing; For a plant of wickedness has taken root in him.
3:29
ልበ፡ ጠቢብ፡ ይፌክር፡ አምሳለ፡ ወእዝነ፡ ማዕምር፡ ትፈቱ፡ ጥበበ።
明達人的心能領悟箴言；願意聽從的耳，是智者所渴慕的。
The heart of the prudent will understand a parable; And the ear of a listener is the desire of a wise man.
3:30
ለእሳት፡ እንተ፡ ትነድድ፡ ያጠፍዓ፡ ማይ፡ ወምጽዋት፡ ተኀድግ፡ ኀጢአተ።
水能澆滅烈火，施捨能贖人的罪。
Water will quench a flaming fire; And almsgiving will make atonement for sins.
3:31
ለዘይፈዲ፡ ዕሴተ፡ ይዜከራ፡ ሎቱ፡ ለደኃሪቱ፡ ወአመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ይድኅፅ፡ ይረክብ፡ በዘያሰምከ።
報答恩惠的人，懷念日後的結局；在他跌倒之時，必尋得倚靠。
He that requites good turns is mindful of that which comes afterward; And in the time of his falling he will find a support.
