43:1

ላዕለ፡ ጽንዓ፡ ለሰማይ፡ በንጽሕ፡ ወርእየተ፡ ሰማይኒ፡ በስብሐቲሁ።

高處的榮美，乃是穹蒼的明淨，諸天的景象，顯出榮耀的奇觀。

The pride of the height is the firmament in its clearness, The appearance of heaven, in the spectacle of its glory.

43:2

ወያሠርቅ፡ ፀሓየ፡ ከመ፡ ያርኢ፡ ብርሃኖ፡ ወነኪር፡ ሥርዐቱ፡ ለግብረ፡ ሰማይ።

太陽出現時，沿途宣告佳音，乃是奇妙的器具，是至高者的作為。

The sun when he appears, bringing tidings as he goes forth, Is a marvelous instrument, the work of the Most High:

43:3

ወበቀትሩሂ፡ ያየብስ፡ ብሔረ፡ ወመኑ፡ ይትቃወማ፡ ለላህቡ።

它正午時烤乾大地，誰能抵擋它的炎熱呢？

At his noon he dries up the country, And who shall stand against his burning heat?

43:4

ከመ፡ እቶን፡ ዘይነድድ፡ ይሬሲ፡ ላህ[ቦ]፡ ወመሥልስ[ተ]፡ ፀሓይ፡ ያውዕዮሙ፡ ለአድባር፡ ወላህበ፡ እሳት፡ ይነፍኅ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወነጽሮ፡ ብርሃኑ፡ ያከፍእ፡ ዐይነ።

人吹爐取火尚且勞作於熱中，太陽燒熱山嶺更勝三倍；它噴出火般的蒸氣，發出耀眼的光芒，使人眼目昏花。

A man blowing a furnace is in works of heat, But the sun three times more, burning up the mountains: Breathing out fiery vapours, And sending forth bright beams, he dims the eyes.

43:5

ዐቢይ፡ ውእቱ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘገብሮ፡ ወበቃሉ፡ ይፈጥን፡ ሑረቱ።

造太陽的主為大；祂一發命令，太陽就加速運行。

Great is the Lord that made him; And at his word he hastens his course.

43:6

ወወርኅኒ፡ ዕድሜሁ፡ ውእቱ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ወትእምርት፡ ለብሔር፡ ወባቲ፡ ይትፈለጥ፡ መዋዕል።

月亮按它的時令出現，標明時節，作萬世的記號。

The moon also is in all things for her season, For a declaration of times, and a sign of the world.

43:7

እምነ፡ ወርኅ፡ ይትዐወቅ፡ ትእምርተ፡ በዓላት፡ ብርሃን፡ ዘየኀልቅ፡ እንዘ፡ የሐጽጽ።

節期的記號是出於月亮；它盈滿之後，便漸漸虧缺。

From the moon is the sign of the feast day; A light that waneth when she is come to the full.

43:8

ወወርኅሰ፡ በከመ፡ ስማ፡ ይእቲ፡ ወነኪር፡ ከመ፡ ተዐቢ፡ ወዕጹብ፡ ከመ፡ ታስተባሪ፡ በውስተ፡ ሥርዓተ፡ ትዕይንተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወያበርህ፡ በውስተ፡ ኀይለ፡ ሰማይ።

月份是按它的名而定，它奇妙地漸漸圓滿；它是高天軍隊的器具，在穹蒼中發出光輝。

The month is called after her name, Increasing wonderfully in her changing; An instrument of the army on high, Shining forth in the firmament of heaven;

43:9

ስርጋዌሃ፡ ለሰማይ፡ ክብሮሙ፡ ለከዋክብት፡ ወያበርሁ፡ ለብሔር፡ በውስተ፡ ሰማዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።

諸星的榮美，是天的美麗，是在主至高之處發光的裝飾。

The beauty of heaven, the glory of the stars, An ornament giving light in the highest places of the Lord.
