And Jehu the son of Hanani the prophet went out to meet him and said to him, "King Jehoshaphat, do you help a sinner, or befriend one hated by the Lord? Because of this, wrath from the Lord has come upon you.
And Jehoshaphat dwelt in Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and turned them back to the Lord the God of their fathers.
And now let the fear of the Lord be upon you, and take heed and act; for with the Lord our God there is no injustice, nor partiality, nor taking of gifts."
And moreover in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed some of the priests and the Levites and the heads of families of Israel for the judgment of the Lord, and to judge those dwelling in Jerusalem.
Every case that comes before you from your brothers who dwell in their cities — between blood and blood, and between ordinance and commandment, and statutes and judgments — you shall instruct them, and they shall not sin against the Lord, and wrath shall not be upon you and upon your brothers. Do thus, and you shall not sin.
And behold, Amarias the priest is chief over you in every matter of the Lord; and Zabdias son of Ismael is the leader of the house of Judah for every matter of the king; and the scribes and the Levites are before you. Be strong and act, and the Lord shall be with the good."
