25:1
At Antioch, indeed, at various times many things were done, and very confusedly. For when Eudoxius had died, since many bishops of different cities strove for that see with the utmost ambition, at last they transferred Meletius thither from Sebaste, a city of Armenia, against the decrees of the council. Yet he was again thrust into exile by these same men, because, contrary to their expectation, he began to preach in the Church not the faith of Arius, but ours. And a great multitude, following him when he had been driven from his see, was torn away from the fellowship of the heretics.
