First Epistle of Clement 28

28:1

Πάντων οὖν βλεπομένων καὶ ἀκουομένων, φοβηθῶμεν αὐτόν, καὶ ἀπολίπωμεν φαύλων ἔργων μιαρὰς ἐπιθυμίας, ἵνα τῷ ἐλέει αὐτοῦσκεπασθῶμεν ἀπὸ τῶν μελλόντων κριμάτων

Since, then, all things are seen and heard, let us fear Him, and forsake the abominable lusts of evil deeds, that by His mercy we may be sheltered from the judgments to come.

既然萬事都被看見、被聽見，我們就當敬畏祂，撇棄惡行中可憎的私慾，好叫我們因祂的憐憫得蒙遮蓋，脫離將來的審判。

28:2

ποῦ γάρ τις ἡμῶν δύναται φυγεῖν ἀπὸ τῆς κραταιᾶς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ; ποῖος δὲ κόσμος δέξεταί τινα τῶν αὐτομολούντων ἀπ̓ αὐτοῦ

For where can any of us flee from His mighty hand? And what world will receive any of those who desert from Him?

我們中間有誰能逃避祂大能的手呢？又有甚麼世界肯接納那些背棄祂的人呢？

28:3

λέγει γάρ που τὸ γραφεῖον: Ποῦ ἀφήξω καὶ ποῦ κρυβήσομαι ἀπὸ τοῦ προσώπου σου; ἐὰν ἀναβῶ εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, σὺ ἐκεῖ εἶ: ἐὰν ἀπέλθω εἰς τὰ ἔσχατα τῆς γῆς. ἐκεῖ ἡ δεξιά σου: ἐὰν καταστρώσω εἰς τὰς ἀβύσσους, ἐκεῖ τὸ πνεῦμά σου

For the Scripture says somewhere: "Where shall I go, and where shall I hide from Your face? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I depart to the ends of the earth, there is Your right hand; if I make my bed in the abysses, there is Your Spirit."

因為經上有一處說：「我往哪裡去躲避你的靈？我往哪裡逃躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那裡；我若往地的盡頭去，那裡有你的右手；我若鋪床在深淵，你的靈也在那裡。」

28:4

ποῖ οὖν τις ἀπέλθῃ ἢ ποῦ ἀποδράσῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ τὰ πάντα ἐμπεριέχοντος

Where then shall anyone go, or where shall anyone escape from Him who encompasses all things?

那麼，人能往哪裡去呢？人怎能從那包羅萬有的主面前逃脫呢？
