17:1

Μιμηταὶ γενώμεθα κἀκείνων, οἵτινες ἐν δέρμασιν αἰγείοις καὶ μηλωταῖς περιεπάτησαν κηρύσσοντες τὴν ἔλευσιν τοῦ Χριστοῦ: λέγομεν δὲ Ἠλίαν καὶ Ἑλισαιέ, ἔτι δὲ καὶ Ἰεζεκιήλ, τοὺς προφήτας: πρὸς τούτοις καὶ τοὺς μεμαρτυρημένους

Let us also become imitators of those who went about in goatskins and sheepskins, preaching the coming of Christ: I mean Elijah and Elisha, and also Ezekiel, the prophets; and besides these, those also of whom witness has been borne.

我們也要效法那些身披山羊皮和綿羊皮、傳揚基督降臨的人：我所說的就是以利亞和以利沙，還有以西結，這些先知；此外還有那些蒙了見證的人。

17:2

ἐμαρτυρήθη μεγάλως Ἀβραὰμ καὶ φίλος προσηγορεύθη τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ λέγει ἀτενίζων εἰς τὴν δόξαν τοῦ θεοῦ ταπεινοφρονῶν: Ἐγὼ δέ εἰμι γῆ καὶ σποδός

Abraham bore great witness and was called the friend of God, yet, gazing upon the glory of God, he says in humility: "But I am dust and ashes."

亞伯拉罕得了大見證，又被稱為神的朋友，然而他定睛仰望神的榮耀，存謙卑的心說：「我不過是塵土爐灰。」

17:3

ἔτι δὲ καὶ περὶ Ἰὼβ οὕτως γέγραπται: Ἰὼβ δὲ ἦν δίκαιος καὶ ἄμεμπτος, ἀληθινός, θεοσεβής, ἀπεχόμενος ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ

And further, concerning Job it is written thus: "Now Job was righteous and blameless, true, God-fearing, abstaining from all evil."

再者，論到約伯，經上這樣記著：「約伯為人公義純全，誠實正直，敬畏神，遠離一切的惡。」

17:4

ἀλλ̓ αὐτὸς ἑαυτοῦ κατηγορεῖ λέγων: Οὐδεὶς καθαρὸς ἀπὸ ῥύπου, οὐδ̓ ἂν μιᾶς ἡμέρας ἡ ζωὴ αὐτοῦ

But he himself accuses himself, saying: "No one is clean from defilement, not even if his life were but a single day."

他卻自己控告自己說：「沒有一個人能脫離污穢得潔淨，即使他的生命只有一天。」

17:5

Μωυσῆς πιστὸς ἐν ὅλῳ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ἐκλήθη, καὶ διὰ τῆς ὑπηρεσίας αὐτοῦ ἔκρινεν ὁ θεὸς Λἴγυπτον διὰ τῶν μαστίγων καὶ τῶν αἰκισμάτων αὐτῶν: ἀλλὰ κἀκεῖνος δοξασθεὶς μεγάλως οὐκ ἐμεγαλορημόνησεν, ἀλλ̓ εἶπεν ἐκ τῆς βάτου χρηματισμοῦ αὐτῷ διδομένου: Τίς εἰμι ἐγώ, ὅτι με πέμπεις; Ἐγὼ δέ εἰμι ἰσχνόφωνος καὶ βραδύγλωσσος

Moses was called faithful in all his house, and through his ministry God judged Egypt by the plagues and torments brought upon them; but he too, though greatly glorified, did not speak proud words, but said, when the oracle was given to him from the bush: "Who am I, that You send me? But I am feeble of voice and slow of tongue."

摩西在神的全家被稱為忠信，神藉他的服事，用災殃和刑罰審判了埃及；但他雖然大得榮耀，卻不說誇大的話，當神從荊棘中向他發出諭示時，他說：「我是甚麼人，竟蒙你差遣呢？我本是拙口笨舌的。」

17:6

καὶ πάλιν λέγει: Ἐγὼ δέ εἰμι ἀτμὶς ἀπὸ κύθρας

And again he says: "But I am vapor from a pot."

他又說：「我不過是鍋上冒出的水氣。」
