Canticum graduum . Nisi quia Dominus erat in nobis , dicat nunc Israël ,
If it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, let Israel now say,
以色列人要說： 若不是耶和華幫助我們，

nisi quia Dominus erat in nobis : cum exsurgerent homines in nos ,
if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, when men rose up against us,
若不是耶和華幫助我們， 當人起來攻擊我們、
124:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
forte vivos deglutissent nos ; cum irasceretur furor eorum in nos ,
then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us,
向我們發怒的時候， 就把我們活活地吞了。
124:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
forsitan aqua absorbuisset nos ;
then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul.
那時，波濤必漫過我們， 河水必淹沒我們，

torrentem pertransivit anima nostra ; forsitan pertransisset anima nostra aquam intolerabilem .
Then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
狂傲的水必淹沒我們。

Benedictus Dominus , qui non dedit nos in captionem dentibus eorum .
Blessed be Yahweh, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
耶和華是應當稱頌的！ 他沒有把我們當野食交給他們吞吃 。

Anima nostra sicut passer erepta est de laqueo venantium ; laqueus contritus est , et nos liberati sumus .
Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
我們好像雀鳥，從捕鳥人的網羅裏逃脫； 網羅破裂，我們逃脫了。

Adjutorium nostrum in nomine Domini , qui fecit caelum et terram .
Our help is in Yahweh’s name, who made heaven and earth.
我們得幫助， 是在乎倚靠造天地之耶和華的名。
