Psalms 4

Latin original · 9 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 3ch. 5 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Septuagint, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
⚠️ The Chinese and English alongside are the CUV and the WEB, both translated from the Masoretic Text; they follow a different textual tradition from the Greek and Latin shown here and will disagree in places.
ℹ️ Some verses here have no matching verse in the public-domain translations (the Psalm superscriptions are not numbered verses in the CUV or the WEB). Those verses were translated by this site with AI (Claude), not taken from the WEB.

4:0
Cum invocarem exaudivit me Deus justitiae meae, in tribulatione dilatasti mihi. Miserere mei, et exaudi orationem meam.
When I called, the God of my righteousness heard me; in tribulation you gave me room. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
我呼求的時候,顯我為義的神應允了我;我在困苦中,你使我寬綽。求你憐憫我,垂聽我的禱告。
4:1
Filii hominum, usquequo gravi corde ? ut quid diligitis vanitatem, et quaeritis mendacium ?
Sons of men, how long will you be heavy of heart? Why do you love vanity and seek after a lie?
世人哪,你們心中剛硬要到幾時呢?你們為何喜愛虛妄,尋求謊言呢?
4:2
Et scitote quoniam mirificavit Dominus sanctum suum ; Dominus exaudiet me cum clamavero ad eum.
Know also that the Lord has made his holy one wonderful; the Lord will hear me when I cry to him.
你們要知道,耶和華已將他的聖者分別出來;我呼求耶和華的時候,他必垂聽我。
4:3
Irascimini, et nolite peccare ; quae dicitis in cordibus vestris, in cubilibus vestris compungimini.
Be angry, and do not sin; the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
你們應當畏懼,不可犯罪;在心中所說的話,要在床上默想懊悔。
4:4
Sacrificate sacrificium justitiae, et sperate in Domino. Multi dicunt : Quis ostendit nobis bona ?
Offer the sacrifice of righteousness, and hope in the Lord. Many say, “Who will show us good things?”
當獻公義的祭,又當倚靠耶和華。有許多人說:「誰能指示我們甚麼好處?」
4:5
Signatum est super nos lumen vultus tui, Domine : dedisti laetitiam in corde meo.
The light of your countenance is sealed upon us, Lord; you have put gladness in my heart.
耶和華啊,求你仰起臉來,光照我們。你使我心裡快樂。
4:6
A fructu frumenti, vini, et olei sui, multiplicati sunt.
By the fruit of their grain, wine, and oil they have been multiplied.
他們因五穀、新酒和油豐盛而增多。
4:7
In pace in idipsum dormiam, et requiescam ;
In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
我必安然躺下睡覺,
4:8
quoniam tu, Domine, singulariter in spe constituisti me.
for you alone, Lord, have settled me in hope.
因為獨有你耶和華使我安然居住。
