Psalmus David , Jeremiae . Super flumina Babylonis illic sedimus et flevimus , cum recordaremur Sion .
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down. Yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
我們曾在巴比倫的河邊坐下， 一追想錫安就哭了。

In salicibus in medio ejus suspendimus organa nostra :
On the willows in that land, we hung up our harps.
我們把琴掛在那裏的柳樹上；

quia illic interrogaverunt nos , qui captivos duxerunt nos , verba cantionum ; et qui abduxerunt nos : Hymnum cantate nobis de canticis Sion .
For there, those who led us captive asked us for songs. Those who tormented us demanded songs of joy: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”
因為在那裏，擄掠我們的要我們唱歌， 搶奪我們的要我們作樂，說： 給我們唱一首錫安歌吧！

Quomodo cantabimus canticum Domini in terra aliena ?
How can we sing Yahweh’s song in a foreign land?
我們怎能在外邦唱耶和華的歌呢？

Si oblitus fuero tui , Jerusalem , oblivioni detur dextera mea .
If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill.
耶路撒冷啊，我若忘記你， 情願我的右手忘記技巧！

Adhaereat lingua mea faucibus meis , si non meminero tui ; si non proposuero Jerusalem in principio laetitiae meae .
Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I don’t remember you, if I don’t prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.
我若不記念你， 若不看耶路撒冷過於我所最喜樂的， 情願我的舌頭貼於上膛！

Memor esto , Domine , filiorum Edom , in die Jerusalem : qui dicunt : Exinanite , exinanite usque ad fundamentum in ea .
Remember, Yahweh, against the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem, who said, “Raze it! Raze it even to its foundation!”
耶路撒冷遭難的日子， 以東人說：拆毀！拆毀！ 直拆到根基！ 耶和華啊，求你記念這仇！

Filia Babylonis misera ! beatus qui retribuet tibi retributionem tuam quam retribuisti nobis .
Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, he will be happy who repays you, as you have done to us.
將要被滅的巴比倫城啊 ， 報復你像你待我們的，那人便為有福！

Beatus qui tenebit , et allidet parvulos tuos ad petram .
Happy shall he be, who takes and dashes your little ones against the rock.
拿你的嬰孩摔在磐石上的， 那人便為有福！
