'Before these days, preaching the devotion of the holy Lenten season,' etc. It ends: 'For the one nourishes the body for a time, but this refreshes the soul for eternity,' etc. Confirmed by the testimony of very many codices, we gave it a place among the homilies of Saint Maximus, number 38, and it is on page 109. In the Paris codex it is listed as number 3785 and number 3777.
