234:1
'What the well-known solemnity of this present day throughout the whole world brings to us of festivity, or what it commemorates by its yearly repetition,' etc. It ends: 'Acknowledging Jesus Christ, and praising and honoring him as with gold, and frankincense, and myrrh, it remains,' etc. The Maurist Fathers were not afraid to publish this discourse, copied from the same codex 1646, among the genuine offspring of Augustine in the cited volume, page 914.
