ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).
'For he who abounds in his own goods does not seek the treasures of the world; for a man's own goods—honesty, sobriety, mercy,' etc. It ends: 'my riches, as in the example of Lazarus, the bosom of Abraham and blessedness shall receive.' Each of these indicated sermons is said to be drawn from the same Paris codex 3776, but they should rather be entitled fragments, which do not deserve to be adorned with the name of Saint Maximus. Yet we exhibit them as a specimen of the insipid author, from whom some of the sermons among those described and rejected came forth.
