Non immerito in hac die sanctus David sine exceptione exsuitandum præcepit, et lætandum, in qua totius mundi gaudia celebrantur, etc. Desinit: Sicut ait beatus evangelista, Erat lux vera quæ illuminat omnem Imminem venientem in hunc mundum, etc.
'Not without reason did holy David command that on this day one should exult without exception, and be glad, on which the joys of the whole world are celebrated,' etc. It ends: 'As the blessed evangelist says, He was the true light which enlightens every man coming into this world,' etc.
「聖大衛在這日吩咐人毫無例外地歡騰喜樂，並非無因；正是在這日，全世界的喜樂得以慶祝」等等。結尾為：「正如那有福的福音作者所說：那是真光，照亮凡來到這世上的每一個人」等等。
