232:1
'It is just and reasonable, most beloved, that the homage of true piety on the days on which the works of divine mercy are set forth should be to rejoice with the whole heart,' etc. It ends: 'Lest either the punishments of the sufferings to be undergone, or the sacrament of faith, they should trouble out of the diversity of things, since they could in no way be justified except those who believed the Lord Jesus Christ to be both true God, and true Lord, and true man,' etc. To this sermon, taken from another codex, namely 1646 of the eleventh century, as is reported, no other codices lend support. And indeed, since it was published among the sermons of Saint Leo the Great, number 33, On the Epiphany IV, in the year 1753, page 84 of the Roman edition.
