Beati Laurentii, fratres carissimi, nova festivitas Ec. celiam Dei jugiter in gaudia lætitiæ spiritalis accendit, etc. Desinit: Pro flamma, quam protulit apud omnipotentem Dominum incorruptæ lucis illuminatione gaudere, etc. Inter homilias de Sanctis col. 341 jam publicavimus, nec aliud addendum occurrit, nisi ut a codice Parisiensi 3809 sententiam nostram confirmari inoncamus.

'The new festivity of blessed Lawrence, most beloved brethren, continually kindles the Church of God into the joys of spiritual gladness,' etc. It ends: 'That, in return for the flame which he endured, he might rejoice before the almighty Lord in the illumination of incorruptible light,' etc. We have already published it among the homilies on the Saints, column 341, nor does anything else occur to be added, except that we may note that our opinion is confirmed by the Paris codex 3809.
