137:1

ወእለሂ ፡ ይወስዱነ ፡ ይቤሉነ ፡ ኅልዩ ፡ ለነ ፡ እምኃልዪሃ ፡ ለጽዮን ።

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down. Yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

我們曾在巴比倫的河邊坐下，一追想錫安就哭了。

137:2

ወእፈ ፡ ነኀሊ ፡ ማኅሌተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በምድረ ፡ ነኪር ።

On the willows in that land, we hung up our harps.

我們把琴掛在那裏的柳樹上；

137:3

እመሰ ፡ ረሳዕኩኪ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ለትርስዐኒ ፡ የማንየ ።

For there, those who led us captive asked us for songs. Those who tormented us demanded songs of joy: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”

因為在那裏，擄掠我們的要我們唱歌，搶奪我們的要我們作樂，說：給我們唱一首錫安歌吧！

137:4

ወይጥጋዕ ፡ ልሳንየ ፡ በጕርዔየ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ኢተዘከርኩኪ ፤

How can we sing Yahweh’s song in a foreign land?

我們怎能在外邦唱耶和華的歌呢？

137:5

ወለእመ ፡ ኢበፃእኩ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ በቀዳሚ ፡ ትፍሥሕትየ ።

If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill.

耶路撒冷啊，我若忘記你，情願我的右手忘記技巧！

137:6

ተዘከሮሙ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ኤዶም ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ።

Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I don’t remember you, if I don’t prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.

我若不記念你，若不看耶路撒冷過於我所最喜樂的，情願我的舌頭貼於上膛！

137:7

እለ ፡ ይብሉ ፡ ንሥቱ ፡ ንሥቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ መሰረታቲሃ ።

Remember, Yahweh, against the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem, who said, “Raze it! Raze it even to its foundation!”

耶路撒冷遭難的日子，以東人說：拆毀！拆毀！直拆到根基！耶和華啊，求你記念這仇！

137:8

ወለተ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ኅስርት ፤ ብፁዕ ፡ ዘይትቤቀለኪ ፡ በቀለ ፡ ተበቀልክነ ።

Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, he will be happy who repays you, as you have done to us.

將要被滅的巴比倫城啊，報復你像你待我們的，那人便為有福！

137:9

ብፁዕ ፡ ዘይእኅዞሙ ፡ ለደቂቅኪ ፡ ወይነፅኆሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኰኵሕ ።

Happy shall he be, who takes and dashes your little ones against the rock.

拿你的嬰孩摔在磐石上的，那人便為有福！
